That's true... But uh... Some phycologists aren't that helpful... Some Just give you medicine and say "come back in 6 months..." Without asking how you even are doing. But there are more ones who are just awesome people though... I'm sorry I don't know why I sent this I hope it doesn't come across negatively. D:

I’ve literally seen death threats to people who study psychology on this website. Even having the audacity to say that “if you don’t have some sort of mental illness yourself while studying psychology then you’re a piece of shit and just die already.” Why does someone need to be inflicted with a psychological disorder to make what they study valid? By that logic, you’d have to be a rock if you wanted to major in geology. 

When was this ever about sides? WITH ANYTHING? 

Why can’t people just accept the fact that people are out there wanting to help people have a better understanding of themselves? “You don’t understand and you’ll never will”

I don’t need other people telling me my field of study is useless, because I feel that I can actually help people work out their relationships and get people out of stressful situations by changing how they think of the situation. 

I don’t need other people telling me I should die on the basis on not having some type of psychological disorder. Why should that ever matter in choosing your practitioner? We’re not evil, we’re trying to help. 

Psychology is the study of human behavior, and we could use that information to make life more tolerable to live in.

❝Oh mannnn, that takes me back to my college days. I think we met in a business class together back in freshman year. We were sitting next to each other and lo and behold we both wanted to apply for the same place after college. There was a group project required for the class and we more or less did all the work. We spent a lot of time together and it was freshman year. You have to find friends quick or you’ll end up with a bunch of friends you don’t really care about. One day we started just hanging out outside of class and I said to myself ‘wow, finally someone who’s just like me’. Haven’t regretted ever since.❞
