Tania’s Tea House, Jumeirah Road, Dubai, UAE 🌟🌟🌟🌟 A nice and a cozy place to sit where you can peacefully sip into your cuppa tea, read your book, gossip or just stare out at the hustle bustle of the Jumeirah road. Location: It is one of the villas in Umm Suqueim, Jumeirah, turned into a teahouse with a cool decor matching it’s name. Staff was very kind, gave us our little privacy on the first floor as we were a tiny little gang of office-mates who were meeting to break the work-from-home monotony. What to celebrate there? One can celebrate their office gossip cum birthday hangout sessions like we were on, or just a simple hang out with friends for some spicy gossip sessions would do too, noisy kittie parties or birthday celebrations, one can organise any small get together over there. In fact, I got to know that they also bake some delicious looking yummy cakes in case you want to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries.  Ambience: The decor and ambience was super cool with a cozy little book corner with a few best-sellers stacked up there. Afterall it’s one of the instragrammable cafes in Dubai.  What to try? After being tired with our heavy flowing office gossip, I ordered some Pesto and Scrambled Egg toastie which I highly recommend if you are an egg-fan and my friends ordered some charcoal donut. I also saw some french toasties on the birthday girl’s table which looked very different from our regular ones. Three slices of french baguette with sabayon sauce, vanilla ice cream and berries. It tasted nice, I've never had something like that before. Whateve you order, you must accompany it with their most refreshing teas. I highly recommend Apple of the eye, the one I tried and it was simply amazing.  ☺️ Pet Friendly I could even take Alpha, my dog next time as this is a pet-friendly place. You could sit in the terrace to enjoy some fresh air while gossiping with your friends with your pet by your side over their delicious teas, or for a plain cozy talk with your special one, you would love it both. Biryaniwalla & Co, Al Nahda, Dubai  Rating: 🌟🌟🌟 Location: Many recommended to try the Biryaniwalla & Co for their delicious biryanis. So we all head to their place in Al Nahda, Dubai in one of our weekend evenings. Book before you go: There was a lot of crowd in the restaurant so a pre-booking is highly recommended. Ambience: Good and family oriented. Service: Seeing the crowd inside, we decided to pick up their food instead of dining so we waited outside in our car and in just a few moments, a waiter appeared with their menu. What not to order! We browsed through their menu and decided to order their Zaffrani Chicken Biryani and Mutton biryani. Somehow, I always prefer mutton over chicken when it comes to biryanis, so without wasting any moment, I ordered both. In just 15-20 mins, our order came nicely packed and the same waiter came to deliver it to our car. We made payments sitting in the convenience of our car staying safe in Covid. Was very happy with their service. Poor food quality: I was a bit disappointed seeing a box full of rice and no sign of any chicken. Although it was topped with a few pieces of chicken tikka but I had to dig out the real chicken pieces from the box full of rice. Worse was mutton biryani which had a very few pieces of mutton, the tiniest ever. I instantly lost my appetite looking at them. Feel free to look at them too in the pictures if you dont believe me. Not recommended: I wouldn't recommend Biryaniwalla for their Zafrani biryanis at all. The flavours were more like masala rice. No weekend business: I would not suggest to have their biryanis over the weekend either, or else, you will also end up having the tiniest pieces of mutton and chicken ever existed. 😀 May be just a hype! Totally a hyped place for biryanis! Try somewhere else guys.. Good service: Their service was super. So 3 stars for their service and their beautiful boxes. Good branding and packaging Quite liked their boxes with a lot of details given in the boxes. Pizza Di Rocco, Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), Dubai, UAE Ratings: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Cuisine: Authentic Italian Pizzas What to eat?  Tried their Buffalo Fried Chicken, Pollo Piccante and Pollo Pesto from their Specialli Di Rocco collection. All three of them were very good and we enjoyed eating them all. Pollo Pesto is a veg pizza but that doesnt make it any less. We recommend to try these pizzas anytime. Ambience: The location is amazing too, just by the lake with an outdoor sitting. Eat while you enjoy some fresh air and the beautiful view of the lake by the side. Perfect! Pet Friendly The restaurant is pet-friendly so you are most welcome to take your furry-mate. Service: Excellent. Staff was very kind and welcoming. Service was quick and prompt. We were served some Fuccachio bread with pesto sauce and garlic-olive oil to munch while our order was getting prepared so it was kind of sweet. Restaurant: Chicago Meat Packers (CMP) Dubai Cuisine: American Location: The Pointe Beach, Palm Jumeirah Around the place: Sipping on the freshly brewed iced tea after a long stroll across the tiny Pointe Beach but with the buzzing crowd around the complex, we spent a great time at Chicago Meat Packers. Must do: Please do not forget to make a booking before as the place was quite packed. About the restaurant: The Pointe is quite a chilled out place to hang out with friends, family and your furry companion. This joint serves you some great American food by some great friendly staff with an amazing view of Atlantis and that too with your dog by your side. It was a perfect evening spent for us. Food was a bit pricey though. But very sweet of them to make our birthday evening super special by treating us with their yummy sticky toffee bread pudding. It was actually finger licking delicious. Pet Friendly: Our dog, Alpha was given a bowl of water along with plenty of smiles and oodles of attention. He refused to leave at the end. 😂 What to try? My son loved their Meatpackers Cheese burger and we enjoyed their steak salad and Chargrilled Chicken Breast along with some Mac & cheese and Twice-Baked potato. Did not like: Only if they had given us a better seating knowing our occasion. 🧐 We did inform of our occasion while making the booking. Day 2 - Wake up early and take a drive to Dambulla - Start early as it is a long 3-hour drive from Negombo to Dambulla, stop for lunch and enjoy some delicious authentic coconut chicken curry. Check-in to your hotel (we stayed at Sevonrich Holiday Resort, excellent cozy rooms and the owner's hospitality was amazing), relax, enjoy swimming or have dinner by the pool. Day 3 - Keep your stay for 2 nights in Dambulla - Start early for visiting Sigiriya Rocks and Dambulla Royal Cave Temple. Enjoy lunch and head out for a safari at Minneriya National Park, Dahanayak arranged the safari for us so it was easy. Relax and enjoy the evening. Day 4 - Visit the Buddhist Museum & Popham's Arboretum, then climb up the Pidurangala Rock, and end your day by relaxing at the Kalu Diya Pokuna Archaeological forest and find yourself amidst the beautiful nature...
