Last night I saw a Japanese female doll on my bedside table and I couldn't help but smile because I felt like my daughter deliberately placed it on my table to show me that she is aware of my respect and love for the Japanese women, the Japanese culture and the Japanese way of life. 😊
The doll had the traditional kimono attire on and I couldn't help but relive the good memories I shared with my Japanese students as a Business English instructor with Bizmates.
I woke up this morning craving ramen and sushi. Still craving. 😊
One of the things I love about my Japanese students is the fact that they are very respectful, humble, honest, trustworthy and they understand the importance of effective communication and active listening. We communicate in many different ways but we always prioritize verbal communication over any other.
I am hoping to learn more about the kimono and how it is worn (step by step) but in the meantime I need me some hot ramen. 😊

Climate Change Effects on Human Health:
Climate change affects human health in different ways. 😊
* Extreme changes in weather and environment can increase existing health problems, and create new health challenges.
* Climate change may increase human exposure to certain bacteria that can cause illnesses, such as Salmonella or E. Coli.
* Climate change affects the most basic health requirements: clean air, safe water, sufficient food and adequate shelter.
* Climate change leads to injuries and loss of human lives, droughts which leads to undernutrition.
Why take Climate change seriously? 🤔
* Taking Climate change seriously and acting to reduce its impact on our health, economy and society help save lives, grow our economies, and gives us hope for a better future.
Still confused about climate change? 😊
* Was your street, village, and town flooded heavily when it rained? 😊
If yes. Don't worry. Help your government reduce the impacts of climate change.
How? 🤔
* Properly dispose off waste.
* Ask factories, your communities, your governments to take the impacts of climate change seriously and ACT. 😊

The first step in the process of peace is JUSTICE. There will be no peace if justice is not present. Justice is the foundation upon which peace is built or achieved. This applies to nations, organizations, groups, relationships and individuals.
The world needs peace, prosperity and growth and to achieve this justice must be the foundation. Who doesn't want peace? Anyone? 😊. No one. Great!
Are you willing to make sure those who have been victimized get justice? If your answer is an affirmative Yes then congratulations you are ready for peace.
I don't have enemies and I don't have friends but I respect everyone and treat them as equals. This is the best way to be at peace with humanity. It doesn't matter your country, language, culture, race or ideology. If you have been well educated about humanity you will understand the importance of respecting others who do not look like you, talk like you, live like you, and reason like you.
Distance is one of the ways in which I ensure my peace and sanity and this doesn't make me any better than you. It is just my own way of ensuring that I protect my energy and preventing troublemakers from stealing my happiness.
I do not make peace with those who have wronged me by talking with their family members on a video call initiated by them, I do not make peace by eavesdropping on your conversation with the culprit or the person who stabbed me in the back.
The following are the ways I make peace.
1. Acceptance of wrong doing (Verbally)
2. Remorse for the actions which has caused me to lose years of goodwill, income, and growth.
3. A dialouge or conversation face to face admitting the wrong and suggesting ways to prevent sane from repeating itself. (we don't want war right) 😊
4. Making sure to understand the meaning of "Respect is reciprocal"
More talk less blood. Says the creator of man. 😊

Yellow is a cool color and it's a color that I really appreciate. I have worn it a few times in the past but I stopped wearing it to avoid sending the wrong message to people especially Filipinos.
The yellow movement is a political one and it is dear to many Filipino citizens because of the struggle their ancestors/heroes endured from independence until the Edsa revolution. I have posted a couple of times in the past to show solidarity and support to Filipinos who still hold this movement in high esteem.
May I kindly use this opportunity to inform that I am not a part of the Yellow Edsa revolution movement of the Philippines and I do not intend or want to be associated with it either. I am publicly disassociating myself from Filipino politicians who are members of this group. I am a spectator and a curious learner of history, peoples and cultures.
To whom it may concern, may I kindly request that you not include me or my family in any activities of this group? Thank you. 😊

I have been in the education sector for over 13 years already. I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly and I have come to realize that the education path is not one that I am willing to go to anymore due to personal reasons.
This is to those who have been trying subtly to get me to go back to teaching in schools I am sorry I already locked my door on that area 2 years ago. Please bear with me. 😊
Hoping the subtle asking would stop now. Thank you.

Nigeria operates a democratic system of government and respect for separation of power has kept the country intact since 1999.
Respect for rule of law in a country like Nigeria is not just important for the peaceful management of the country but also for the development of it's people and infrastructure.
Impeachment is one of the avenues through which elected politicians/public office holders are sanctioned especially when they have abused their powers.
Rivers state Nigeria is a very important part of the country and it is a state many other governors are looking up to for guidance, support and leadership.
Checks and balances are encouraged in democratic countries because of the excesses of some power-drunk politicians who would stop at nothing to achieve their selfish goals even if these will cause pain, agony and sorrow to their citizens.
Suspending an elected governor because of the issues with his predecessor doesn't seem like the best option to take for a solution. The governor should be supported to deliver dividends of democracy to his people instead of intimidating and bullying him. This is the wrong approach and this will not guarantee the peace all parties are looking to achieve.
Dispute resolution works well in a democracy when the President is unbiased, sincere and has no hidden agenda. Diplomacy is the way to go in Rivers State not suspension of the governor. Allow the police a free hand to do their jobs which they are paid to do and stop encouraging the man in the FCT. I hope they listen.

I noticed that the lady attending to emails, issues and concerns at the Nigerian embassy at Makati is a beautiful Filipina lady. Few years ago I tried to get information from the Nigerian embassy to renew my Nigerian passport in order to apply for the temporary residence visa which would have allowed me to apply for jobs legally.
I noticed that the tone with which my emails were being answered was "condescending, rude, and unsupportive" so I wondered why would a fellow Nigerian be replying to another Nigerian citizen in this tone and manner.
Then I decided to visit the embassy in person and I saw the lady who had been reading and replying to my emails and asked if she was the one in assigned to respond to communications from Nigerians in the Philippines and she said she was. Right there I knew why I was having the problem I had been facing for years.
SOLUTION:
Is it possible for the Nigerian embassy in Makati to employ a Nigerian lady who is courteous, respectful, understand the culture and the people, independent minded, kind, humble and an active listener?
You can't have a Filipina be the first line of communication in the Nigerian embassy where you have many Nigerians living in the Philippines which is a developing country. I noticed that the security guards are Filipinos and they are very accommodating, respectful and you could feel that they want to help you.
I hope someone sees this post and fix this problem to avoid future occurrence. And until the change is effected it is important to warn Nigerian in the Philippines to be careful and not get into any issues with Filipinos especially the ladies.

As a coach I have always used the open door approach in dealing with my players especially if they are young high school students.
I encourage my players to communicate freely and share their ideas, thoughts and objections. This was the foundation I was also given by my coaches when I was into sports in high school.
So you would understand why I was surprised when one of my players a boy asked me who my favorite player was in the world and I said honestly it's Christiano Ronaldo from Portugal. Prior to asking this question I had been sharing Ronaldo's posts on my Facebook timeline for over a month or thereabout.
I noticed that this player was not happy when I mentioned Ronaldo's name and I asked why? He said Messi is a better player and humble. I smiled and said I understand but I PREFER Ronaldo because of his work ethics, determination to win and being real.
The next day 4 of my players wore Messi's Argentina jersey to the training. I saw it and smiled and just focused on the training session. But I felt strongly that someone was playing the music to which they were dancing to and trying to cause disharmony in my team.
It would be nice to know that person because he did a great job in making my players try to promote Messi to me. I have no problem with you liking any player but don't force your choice on me. I have my own brain and I look at things from many angles before I reach a final decision.
Schools should encourage debates and open mindedness among students. This is the way forward. I had to stop sharing Ronaldo's posts on my timeline ever since that day. Hoping to share a post again soon. I have missed his posts. 😊

Picture taking is a good way to record, reminisce and tell stories without verbal communication. I like to take pictures but I don't feel comfortable taking pictures with people I don't know really well especially since I am not in the corporate industry anymore.
We take pictures with friends, family and people who protect our interests behind our backs and defend us in rooms where we are not in. These are the ones we are comfortable smiling and opening our teeth with and call for the flash lights to come forth. 😊
I don't have problem taking pictures with kids or students especially those who are respectful, not racist, humble, and open minded. I took some pictures with some teenagers 2 years ago and last year whom I didn't know but because they were nice and chatted with me respectfully I obliged.
If they had any hidden agenda for approaching me for the picture on those days please kindly help cut those ties and send gifts to whoever was in the shadow playing the music they were dancing to on those days.
The fact that you see me or my face in pictures with anyone doesn't mean they are my friends. This is why I have stopped taking pictures with anyone for now. Please don't blame me. 😊

I watched a video last year where I saw President Barack Obama fist bumping some basketball players and it looked so cool.
Handshakes have always been my thing but ever since I shook the hand of a man last year and I noticed he had either just finished eating donuts or held it before we met I decided to reduce the handshakes I give to people.
Instead I just stretched out my hand and bump their fist. I did this also last week when I was at the Rizal high school to watch the training of the student athletes. Hoping they did not get the wrong idea because I noticed they were amazed by that.
When you have to shake the hands of about 25 young students within 1 minutes then I think it's better to use the fist bump. 😊
I think 3 of them will do well if they try out for boxing. Don't tell them please. 🤫
