I’m amazed at what God is doing in and for our family. We are expecting our daughter Paige to arrive in March!! Testimony: Recently there was a doctor’s report bringing in concern regarding the possibility of Down Syndrome. No matter what we would be welcoming our daughter here with open arms. We prayed the prayer of faith before testing and awaited the results during our week of Prayer and Fasting. We didn’t mind being available to testify of his hand, he is the God of miracles. We can say as of this week after testing the report came back negative for not one but any type of Down Syndrome. We all can’t wait to meet you Paige and your mother and I are privileged by God to raise and love you in our family. Because years pass between visits to the D I never miss an opportunity to go to the @motownmuseum . This time I sat and stared at the building just taking in the fact that these youngsters at the time had a dream, put in the work and now the entire catalogue stands as an American Music standard and is loved worldwide. #dream From 1961 to 1971, Motown Record Corporation enjoyed over one hundred Top Ten hits, from artists that included Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, The Marvelettes, Marvin Gaye, and The Four Tops. By 1966 the company was taking in $20 million and added four more properties to its Grand Boulevard headquarters. By 1967 there were five labels under the Motown umbrella. Posted @withrepost • @whitneyhouston October 3 & 5, 1997: Whitney gave 2 special shows titled "Classic Whitney" in Washington, D.C. at D.A.R. Constitution Hall. The second show was broadcast live on HBO. Whitney dedicated her performance to famed opera singer Marian Anderson who had tried to perform at the venue in 1939, but was turned down because she was black. R&B is not Dead neither is Contemporary Gospel aka Rhythm & Praise. Sometimes we wait on popular trends to inspire what is or is not popular in Gospel, it can be the other way around. When R&B becomes popular again you’ll probably see this style return to Gospel the way it used to be. We shouldn’t have to wait on that. Certain aspects of this “style” are not promoted or represented in Gospel the way it should be. A movement can start right in our own backyard.
