three hares, aka the a1 screenprints from my final foundation year project on cycles <3

this was my display, alongside 25 handmade ceramic hares which you can check out here! (ignore the empty shelf - that's a spot for some mini prints + business cards i needed to replace)

these are open-screen prints made with paper stencils, and thoroughly worked into with soft pastel and pencils <3 they depict the summer, spring/autumn, and winter coats of mountain hares.

this project concluded 3 years at my school of art, and the next step is undergraduate illustration in london <3 i'm really proud of how far i've come

Ok two quick final episode 16 thoughts before sleep. (One is wholesome two is depraved, they probably shouldn't go on the same post but I hate wasting paper.)

I'm ngl the more I think about it the more I want Wang Shuo to smoothly and comfortably transition into Jiang Xiaoshuai and Wu Suowei's friend unit as their third gossip-and-scheme-loving bestie. There's something to the fact that everything Wang Shuo left out for Wu Suowei this episode, from his diagnosis to the videos, are more about explaining himself to someone he thinks will understand than driving Wu Suowei away or fucking with him. Like you're not going to convince me he thought telling Wu Suowei he was bipolar would make Wu Suowei behave erratically. He just wants to be seen. Chi Cheng won't let him explain, but Wu Suowei and his thirst for answers will. I just think they could be fun friends and it would be soooo unexpected, both for us as viewers, and for Chi Cheng and Guo Chengyu as bystanders. From "The hell do you mean you let Wang Shuo sleep over at your house?" To "The hell do you mean he's regularly coming to your slumber parties? The hell do you mean you guys enjoy his company and don't blame him for how long it took Chi Cheng or myself to figure our shit out and find you???????"

I've tried to start so many posts about today's Revenged Love episode but let me keep it simple.

I love how nobody in this story stays away from each other. I love how that's never even a consideration.

There was a lot of outrage and betrayal after episode 14 at Chi Cheng for going near Wang Shuo again, but in episodes 15 and 16 we have seen so vividly: they're all like that. They lean in instead of moving away.

They fuck each other's boyfriends, they let their boyfriend's best friend's ex who ruined his life stay overnight at their place, they do art installations for their boyfriend's evil ex and get boxing lessons from the evil ex's brother to make their boyfriend jealous (and then when he's not visibly jealous, to give him an excuse to break up with them).

Like I completely read the Chiwei scene at the end of ep15 as a breakup scene, but it wasn't. A miserable crack was introduced into their relationship where there wasn't one before, but they're still sleeping in the same bed and having sex instead of talking about their problems. That's so them. That's so tasty.

Nobody seems to have even considered going no contact with Wang Shuo - from Chengyu and Chi Cheng to Jiang Xiaoshuai and Wu Suowei. Instead he's been pulled into their lives across the board. Chengyu gives Wang Shuo Xiaoshuai's home address. (I would still love to know WHY!!)

Wu Suowei takes Wang Shuo's threat to introduce misunderstandings into his relationship with Chi Cheng as a challenge, rather than an insight into what he's already seen, or something they can prevent by staying away from the guy. Jiang Xiaoshuai let Wang Shuo hang off him and chase his best friend out of the clinic and seemed to enjoy that it was happening (sidenote: if anyone can talk me through what was going on in Xiaoshuai's head at this moment I would be in your debt. Did he just want to pump him for gossip? Could he not do that with WSW there??? update: ty @thewelloflonging !!) Chi Cheng was actually gonna drive Wang Shuo to see his snakes??????????????????????????

Idk it all feels so right and true for this, the show where our four leads are in each other's pockets in every way and if they haven't fucked, they should. It's still simultaneously a shock to my system every time, because what are you all doing!!!

In many ways Chi Cheng's resentment for Wang Shuo seems to be that he left instead of staying around and letting Chi Cheng choke answers out of him (or letting Chi Cheng fuck HIS boyfriends, idek).

There's no world where going away and moving on is the call, for anyone. They're all fucked in the head. I love them.
