What if Carol keeps pushing Daryl and Connie conversation, and Daryl is about to cut it again but instead he's like okay, let's take advantage of it and he starts to ask for Carol's advice on "how to get things started with Connie" but he's actually taking advice to apply it to Carol. And we can see it clearly through the way he looks/what he does later.

OR Carol could be pushing D*nine and she says "You know it's time to make a move on the woman you like, Daryl. I don't wanna see you alone because you were dumb enough to let the opportunity pass." and he's like "you're right" and makes some kind of move on Carol.

Love <3 I like to think we've seen a little bit of that first scenario play out in 11B. Carol tells Daryl to ask Connie to dance, romance her in other words, and then later he asks Carol to go to lunch with him, calling it a "date."
