Ok hear me out, I started to notice a pattern regarding the first ones out in the life games. Ever since Jimmy was no longer dying first, all of the last placers seem to have something in common before they die. They both had an urge/order to kill Scott. During secret life, Lizzie tried to help Joel in killing Scott which ended up to be her doom. And you know how Mumbo got during Wild life, he kept trying to murder Scott for an entire episode. The worst part is Scott didn't even give that much energy in fighting back, sure he defended himself but he still focuses on other things (Though Mumbo was Successful in killing Scott). In Marty's lore, the watchers hated Scott because he doesn't play by their rules. They tried numerous ways to make him suffer but I guess they got fed off and just wanted him dead so they tried to send other lifers to end him (cause why in the world did Mumbo have an unusual urge to target Scott). Nevertheless, Scott's will to live was so powerful that they just couldn't reach him causing them to fall to their doom.

Furthermore, Joel's symbol is a car. No questions asked. That's what he wants, that's what he gets.
