Pico passed away way too young for an unknown reason and I'm heartbroken.

He was always happy to see us, always talking despite being a mute breed of duck, always tail wagging. He was always around nearby, his girlfriend never too far.

My heart is crying and I hope his girlfriend will be okay.

I'll always love you, Pico. I miss you.

I know that it's not that unsual since they're spaniels and naturally bird-y dogs, but part of me giggles at the thought that I'm looking into resources about channeling/redirecting/etc. chase drive with a cavalier.... aka Elliot.

Thankfully, it's nothing harmful and part of it is fascinating to witness, but boy does that man lose all his brain cells at once if he sees a butterfly or if Nelly is nearby. He wants to lick or smell her, but the intensity is not appropriate at all, so I'm looking into more resources on that drive, so he can using it in appropriate ways and redirect whenever it's not.

Sometimes I wonder if the fact I'm constantly dehydrated and unable to absorb water is the source of most of my issues.

But I have no idea how to figure that out and how to fix it.

Anytime I am in the dining room he always asks for the snacks that he knows are kept in there.

Good things of today:

Toasts with maple butter

Mister Bee getting really excited that I woke up

Convinced my mom to clean the chicken coop, it was 3 hours of physical work, but I feel better knowing that the teen chickens now have a clean space

Spending time with my horse and the goats every day

Worked on a puzzle (it's so soothing to me, if only it didn't hurt my back so much)

Spouse sent me a video of Chico trying to play with Elliot (!!!)

I woke up without an alarm

My grandmother is finally back home with her cat 6 months after her injury and she is so happy

I was asking wife about how all the pets are doing and I was trying to figure out ways to make it easier on her and she said that it's all okay, she manages, Elliot is just a bit bored, but it's understandable and I just 🥺♥️

I'm so lucky to have find her. She's not a dog person and yet, they're in good hands with her.
