My bf and I have matching L necklaces, you know, the L Lawliet symbol one. I wanted to make the cord to it longer so I can wrap it around my neck like a choker and luckily I found one lying around my sisters' room. It had a longer chain on its end and I let it dangle around the symbol on my neck. Then, a few weeks ago, my bf found a ring on the floor of the vehicle he was in while they were travelling to another City. He asked around if anyone lost it, nobody turned up. He added it to his own necklace, the ring around his L symbol.

Here's the fun thing.

There's a small pendant on the end of the cord I found, and I just realized it was a crucifix. The ring my bf found? It had an engraving on the inside. It was also a crucifix.

some people write L as shy and reserved, but i don’t think that man has ever been shy or genuinely embarrassed about anything in his life.

he’s not concerned with how people perceive him, or societal expectations outside of how it may dictate other people’s behaviour, which matters to him only as he directly observes/studies them.

atleast for the latter part of his life, his every whim and preference is constantly catered for. he lives comfortably, with everything adhered to his exact tastes.

Not to say he’s an objectively bad person (i could rant forever about how he twists the law to enact his own concept of what justice is), or doesn’t struggle - but he’s self-admittedly childish, relatively egotistical, and likes/expects things to go his way.

all of this to say - he would not care about relationship norms or what is appropriate, in public or otherwise. he’s doing whatever he wants (within reason, obviously) and whatever he feels like, whenever he feels like it.
