I’m not quite done talking about sexism on the RPC. How come sweet female muses are often labeled as annoying and clingy while sweet male muses are fucking praised and put on a pedestal?

How come you all die over fuckboy heartbreaker type of male muses but god forbid a female muse does the same because she’s burned at the stake? How come I see wonderful female muses written in complex plots that require lots of investigation and accuracy (mental issues, eating disorders, physical illness) and they are belittled and frowned upon but you still fucking die over bland ass rebel-without-a-cause male characters?

How come we have to go fishing for male or even female, non-binary opposites for a female muse while male muses get opposites tossed their way? How come roleplay groups with a greater female population are often ignored unless they see true shipping potential? How come some groups still ban female applications because they don’t have enough males? How come male muses (because this is also bothersome, and important) are significantly dismissed if the player shows no interest in shipping them with anyone (because aromantic and asexual people exist, as well as a player can simply choose to focus on, I don’t know, DEVELOPMENT)? 

And how come I, as a player, and many other girls have to feel even silly upon wanting to get a female OC out there for the simple fact it’s a woman and everyone plays women or something but male muse players are hailed as the holy grail what THAT ISN’T NICE EITHER because male muse players are often objectified for the simple fact they provide with the penis of the ship? Start valuing your female muses more, community, it’s about damn time…

     he’s getting on her  nerves  now  (  he’s   very   good at that,  she’s come to learn  )  .     but she knows that there are eyes on them that she can’t see.     her behavior is being  watched  ,   analyzed   for authenticity   –   which makes this    LYING    all the more difficult.      so instead of saying anything,  instead of working to pack the snow in better,  instead of anything else that might make people  suspicious  of the realities in front of them,  she just   smushes   the ungathered snow in her grasp … into his face.

      shock comes in the form of cold, wet snow. for a moment he’s silent --  frozen in place. as laughter bubbles up the cold substance makes its way into mouth. it is mostly wiped away in one clean motion as laughter subsides into shock. he has to be fast, though. he’s not to be upstaged.

Valentine

    he rolls his eyes.     there’s always a level of   annoyance   associated with dealing with mercutio’s  moods  ,  and today is no different.     just as frustrating as when his brother was ill,  if not notably more so.          “ i mean,  yeah  . ”     valentine moves,  shifts to actually   look   at the door,  as if he would be able to see his brother  through  it.          “ the    FUCK    would i do that for ?? ”          he’s almost  insulted  .     valentine escalus  doesn’t fake  anything   ,  for   anyone   .     not even mercutio.

overdramatic gasp escapes, nearly blowing his cover. mercutio will not -- can not -- let this opportunity slip. sure, it is important to note the wound is still fresh. dwelling too long on the subject would prove disastrous. ( though the only thing mercutio ever spent too long was his time at the mirror ) he has to pause to reconcile himself. giggles bubbling up are silenced with a shaky breath.
