The sun sets, the wind shifts, gently lit by the street light Distracting me from anxious, lonely things. I was scared too, it was scary being all alone. The night's darkness reflects the past. My right hand, my heart, All that I am exists for the sake of the future. ...but all I do is destroy things. Embracing the pain in my heart with kindness, "Let's go find a night that isn't so lonely," you said Like the falling heavens, On that hill under the stars, I clasped your hand in mine and squeezed back...your hand... But I can't cry here... I'm a weak, broken, uncool hero. I'm always in trouble, so I didn't notice your tears. Hurt by the words, "I'm going out for a minute." I didn't even get the chance to protect you. Thank you for being born. Your entire spirit is what helped me stand up. Eternal Love...that's how I'd have to reply, right? The hard part's that I'm stupid, So I don't know if I can say it well, but This is just a fraction of all the stars. That we're living together at the same time, holding hands, It's such a miracle...! My right hand, my heart, All that I am exists for the sake of the future. ...I want you to promise me forever. The two characters of your name spell out the ordinary everyday, The times when I can say "See you tomorrow!" Let my flower bloom in your sunshine. Together let's make our dreams resound...resonate! Let's both live on...! I'm okay with being a broken, uncool hero, As long as I can protect the one thing in front of me.

TL Notes/Thoughts

So, to start, we cried a lot translating this song, and we need you to understand why. Some of this is up to interpretation, but for the most part it felt pretty obvious. 

My right hand, my heart, All that I am exists for the sake of the future. ...but all I do is destroy things.

“ わたしの全部は未来の為にあると”

Miku’s name,  小日向 未来 (Kohinata Miku) is spelled with the same kanji as future. So you can assume the line has the double meaning of “All that I am exists for the sake of Miku.”

The last verse was exceptionally hard to translate. 

君の名が付いたその二文字の時を…

また明日ね!と言える日常を…!

Hibki is speaking about the characters that make up Miku’s name (future), and how that has so much meaning to her in the sense that she can say “See you tomorrow!” every day...(I cry)...

The next line also has some amazing, tough to translate wordplay. This time using Hibiki’s name as well.  Tachibana Hibiki (立花 響)

陽だまりの中で花を立ち咲かせて

Hidamari no naka de Hana wo Tachisakasete

Hidamari, or sunny spot, can relate to the Kohinata (小日向) of Miku’s name, literally small sunshine. Hana is flower, and also the second character of Hibiki’s name, followed by Tachisakasete (standing/let it bloom) using the first character of Tachibana.

and immediately following is a line that uses 響 (Hibikasete).
