Pokemon HZ105-HZ106 spoilers under the cut.

I enjoyed today's episode as we got to see Amethio again, as well as interactions between Liko, Zir and Conia! The bits of background we got, like Zir and Conia's reasons for being loyal to him, was really nice to see. These past two episodes have really endeared those two to me and I hope we'll get to see them more in action soon.

I will admit that I'm super duper intrigued with the idea of Amethio interacting with Mighty G of all people. From the preview, it looked like Mighty G was teaching Amethio how to make curry so I'm genuinely excited to see what sort of conversation they could have!

I assume that'll be the first half of the episode and the second half would be a beach episode. I love the swimsuits shown, though also sad that Friede doesn't get one back when there was a beach episode some 60+ episodes ago.

Seeing that there was that scene of Dot with Gimmighoul on a surfboard and then it jumped into the water, my assumption is that Dot's gonna save it, they form a bond and could potentially lead into a capture for Dot. I've seen folks say that Roy would capture it but honestly, Dot's long overdue for a third Pokemon partner so I'd be happy if she caught the Gimmighoul. I can see that with its tendency to wander off in search of coins, it'll have Quaxwell pulling double duty in looking out for it, maybe with Tinkatuff too.

All in all I'm super excited for the next episode! Definitely going up in terms of my enjoyment with Mega Voltage haha

You know today's episode is the most I've enjoyed Mega Voltage thus far. Something about seeing Zir finally getting to meet Gurumin in person and just seeing Zir and Conia interact with the kids in a friendly setting makes me feel warm.

Also we're finally getting to see Amethio in the next episode! While he's not my favorite character, it's nice to see him back in the picture. I'm hoping for him and the kids to have more opportunities in working together going forward!

Pokemon HZ102 spoilers.

I finally got around to watching HZ101 and saw the previews for HZ102. Sure Penny vs Dot looks fun but I'm more interested with the return to the ruins with the Gimmighoul and Charcadet.

Given that merch is being released of the usual Horizons mons + Charcadet, I have high hopes that Liko would catch it. They wouldn't heavily feature a mon among the regular roster like Cap and Meowscrada if the Pokemon won't be a part of the main crew or majorly involved in some manner.

If Liko does catch Charcadet, I hope it'd evolve into Armarouge to contrast Amethio's Ceruledge. I think it's super cool that Liko has a 'magical / fantasy' theme to her team with Meowscrada (magician), Terapagos (mystical creature), potential Hatterene (witch) and potential future Armarouge (knight). She deserves it honestly.

It'd be neat too if the Gimmighoul joins the main cast, or at least be a ship Pokemon. I can picture side hijinks like Gimmighoul getting into trouble as it collects coins, not to mention the merch potential of a Gholdengo in the future. If it's to be caught by someone, it could go to Roy but I think Dot's long overdue for a third Pokemon in her team.

GOD THE WAY I SCREAMED seeing this part I knew they'd give us some sort of Friede news THEY HAD TO with episode 100. Man I bawled when I saw Orla cried man I'm so glad she got good news. AND THE POKEBALL SHE GAVE TO KARNA I CALLED IT

Also when they played Dokimeki Diary and showing Uruto trying to join them with doing the RVT sign I'M SO HAPPY

Man it's rough to feel like I have to find reasons to continue enjoying Horizons. I mean Mega Voltage is alright I guess but it really feels like they don't have the same quality of writing as they did before. It's also rough to share my thoughts cause I've seen like super negative takes on X and worry that I'd get people like that in my replies. Tumblr feels more tame at least

I've shared my thoughts about Mega Voltage here but one piece of advice I can give is to heavily curate your online space for the sake of your mental health. Mute words / tags, block people you don't like or give horrible takes, just do anything and everything until the only thing you see on your timeline is your favorite artists / blogs. Even then, if your feelings changed over time, don't feel obligated to still stick with following the account / blog / person.

Personally, I've found that fandom etiquette is practically non existent these days but you do what you gotta do to curate your space. Don't let people live rent free in your mind in this economy, especially those who paid for a checkmark and ragebaiting for the sake of engagement.

If Pokemon Horizons just doesn't give you much enjoyment anymore, it would be best to stop engaging with the media and take a step back. Whether your feelings change later or remain the same, that's fine. The series will still be available if you ever want to return.
