Rita hadn't expected such a genuine answer. In fact, she'd been lining up a saucy comment about his dimples, but she decided to shelf it. "You sure can. And it's so them, too. Don't waste too many of your good compliments on me, though, Tina is gonna want them once she's loose," Rita added with a smile. "Did you come here with anybody or...?"
Edmund took a slow glance around, his eyes sweeping over the scene with quiet appreciation. “It looks really good,” he said, his voice calm but sincere. “It looks picture perfect actually. You can see the effort that’s gone into all this.” Though he wasn’t one for extravagance, there was a genuine respect in his tone, the kind that came from recognizing the care and intention behind every detail. It wasn’t the grandeur that impressed him—it was the thoughtfulness, and that, to Edmund, mattered more.

"i have no idea what you're talking about, guido. i'm clearly on my very best behaviour," she counter with a telltale grin. "well, a gal's gotta eat. with a face this adorable, who could blame me?"
"eyes back in your head, jacobs. at least save your window shopping until the vows are done" he chuckled "insatiable"

"do it and find out," she countered, fighting off a smile before rolling her eyes. "you can add it to the list of things to look forward to after today, then. just don't tell me your safe word is 'nintendo' too." rita could match patrick line for line at this point. they'd lived together for a long time now, and truth be told, he might have been the only person she could be totally comfortable with. there weren't many places to hide when she shared a sofa, you know? "i guess," she grinned, satisfied they'd come to a compromise. she looked up at him, letting out a little laugh before settling on an easy smile. "thank you, you look beautiful too."
"if i say half an hour will i get the nintendo?" he asked, wondering if it was worth chancing his luck. "light choking is still choking and i'm open to that in a safer environment." he went on while rita fixed his tie, completely ignoring anyone watching on and picking up on their conversation. patrick perked up at the promise of the nintendo "fine, fine, the ceremony takes priority i guess." he reluctantly agreed and leaned in closer, fidgeting with the bottom of his tie "you look beautiful by the way"

"what can i say? great minds never have a day off," she teased, giggling as mary's elbow nudged into her. maid of honour duties were very important, and rita was determined to do a good job. she wasn't afraid to step on toes to do it either. "you're right, it is tina and james' special day. i'll take a small step back and relax. don't worry, mare - i remember how to have fun. you too, yeah?"
"do i have the best and sneakiest wedding planner in the world? yes" she laughed, giving rita a nudge with her elbow "take a night off wedding planner to the stars, enjoy the wedding and have some drinks and a dance"

"It's not the only thing," Rita grinned. The genuine excitement and wonder in her voice always made Rita happy. Whatever Arista Neptune kept in those cards was working. Maybe it was a little magic. "Well, that's a relief. This town hasn't exactly had the best luck lately, and who doesn't love a wedding for a scandal? I feel like we're all lowkey on Peter Pan watch."
Arista looked over everything with enchanted eyes. Everything looked so perfect and sparkling. A true event for the ages really, the type of wedding she might want one day.
"Oh it's gorgeous!" Arista in a high pitched exclamation. "I also drew some cards today, just in case, and all signs lead to good things for the happy couple!"

"You've got that magic touch, Miss Misty. In fact, I think you might have added an extra life onto my original nine," Rita joked with a wide grin. "Never better. The happy couple have really gone all out, don't you think? Well. We can't have that. You'll have to call me Doctor Jacobs when I save you one then," Rita winked. "Can I get you a drink, sugar?"
" Glad to see you still in the land of the living, seems like that kiss worked. How are you this evening beautiful?” Misty replies before leaning onto the bar and turning her full attention to Rita. “ I think I may die if I don’t get to dance with you tonight” she says with a playful smirk.

"we've been here less than a half hour, what exactly is the shelf life on your best behaviour? oh, please. this tie is very gentle. if anything, it's a light choking-," she said, finishing her work with his least favourite accessory. rita made a point of avoiding eye contact with the raised eyebrows that had walked by their conversation at that exact moment. "you look good. but fine, you get through the 'i do's' and i'll swap you the nintendo for the tie. i'll even find you an exclusive, secluded, spot for the rest of the night on this fuckin' day."
"wha- not fair, i was promised the nintendo if i was good" he huffed. the nintendo was his saving grace "i can't help it, you've got this tie trying to choke me out." he stopped fussing over the material and let rita work her magic "so now i've got to wear this bullshit tie and not have the nintendo until later? this fuckin' day"

"are you feeling inspired? if you like any of their vendors, i can circle back and poach 'em for you. no one'll see me coming," she added with a wink.
"it does, they've planned everything out beautifully" she smiled, walking alongside rita "this wedding suits them so well."

"you didn't laugh at my innuendo so no nintendo," she countered with a grin before rolling her eyes (affectionately). "hey, quit messing with that-," she started, holding the hand that was hacking at his tie before loosening it a little herself- "you can have it after the ceremony."
"i don't know...i guess. i've not been to many weddings." patrick answered while he tried to loosen the knot in his tie "can i get the nintendo now?"

"I think that the correct answer is the bride. I mean, aren't we all here to see Tina Bell in the starring role? I'm ready to be blown away," Rita grinned. On her special day, Rita figured that Tina would sense when she was being gassed up by her guests. Now that was a gift you couldn't get off a registry.
Socializing with strangers was one of Abby's specialties. She was an extrovert, and never minded mingling. This, was a dream for her. As she walked around, admiring the decorations and watching the people, she was making her way through the crowd, hopping to spark some conversation. “So who are you here for? Bride or groom?"

"What're you most excited about? Besides Flash whipping out that ukulele before anyone can tackle him to the ground."
"This is so exciting, I've never been to a wedding before!"

"Nah, not my first rodeo." Rita paused then, pressing her lips together before holding her hands up- "Alright, twist my arm. It might be the first wedding I was actually invited to. I've allegedly crashed plenty of weddings. How's your head doing, Beaumont?"
For the first time in a long time, Toulouse felt out of place. His injuries from the accident had healed, and his memory was almost completely back, but he still felt disconnected from everyone. But, he was friends with Tina, and he wanted to be there for her. Walking in, he was a little extra clingy toward Rachel, a bit anxious about conversing with everyone, but after a few minutes he was starting to open up. “So, is this your first time at a wedding too?”

"Hey, do you like roses?" Rita asked her, holding the bouquet out with totally innocent intentions. Well, more or less. "And free meals with super cheesy themes? With only a teeny tiny catch attached to them. Microscopic, really." @itsbellegedeon

Rita was a little wine drunk. Not a lot but like, just enough. And she looked hot too! When was the last time all of these things- all of these stars- had aligned? She was leaning against the bar now, tapping her sparkly nails off the top. If she could just catch a break with a pretty face, this night would be a certified success, right? "Ugh, I think if I don't kiss someone right now I'm gonna die," she muttered to herself (not as quietly as she thought).
It was then she turned and saw her. Perking up, Rita flashed a grin- "How good are you at saving lives?" @mistyxmorning

rita had clocked babette (the hottest gal in town) flirting with some other guy before she saw victor at the bar. it wasn't too hard figuring out what had happened. well, what had probably happened (you shouldn't ass-ume). that and babette-and-victor were local legends. "is it a two beer kinda night or should we open you up a tab, vic?"
not having babette by his side was slowly driving him insane. the break had been mutually agreed but the more time went on the more victor was questioning why they took one. things hadn't been good, they'd been viciously arguing but now he missed that. he had seen some guy talking to her throughout the night and the jealously was rearing its ugly head.
trying to take his mind off of it, he turned to the bar and ordered another beer.
