Episode Eleven/The Finale Aired October 7th, 2017, on MNet. It was a live event.
Broadcast Live from the Vagabond Tour stop in Kyoto, the Finale is the ultimate smackdown between three of Unpretty’s biggest powerhouses: Cyrah, from Team L3THAL Fish -- former Reign Leader and current soloist with Left Music Group Kannon, also from Team L3THAL Fish -- former underground rapper, former leader of Ruby Girls, and current trainee under Alpha Records and Haebi, from Team Alpha -- former Few’d crew member, former underground rapper, and currently a member of Mercury
Each of the three competitors beat out fierce rappers in the semi finals to advance, and their epic rise to the finale is played out on the screens, in alphabetical order.
While Cyrah may not have won any tracks this season (besides the two group numbers), she was the frontrunner throughout most of the competition, and everyone had nothing but good things to say about her talent and skill.
Kannon won one track in addition to the two group numbers, and solidified her title as the diss queen-- while she may have gotten a bit of a villain edit, fans enjoyed how candid and real she was with the audience.
Haebi also won one track along with the two group numbers, and of the three finalists, she struggled the most to stand out throughout the season.
Honorable mention tapes are played for Melody and Yein-- two competitors who came so close to making it, and just missed advancing to the final. Tapes are also played heightening the rivalry between Haebi and Kannon throughout the season, making everyone only that much more excited for the finale.
One by one, the final three are interviewed, as are their producer teams, and then it’s time for the end-- one last song, featuring Juliette’s Yunji: Like Nobody Knows.
**admin note: Cheetah will be Cyrah, Jessi will be Kannon, and Yukjidam will be Haebi
After the stage, the audience (at the festival and at home) are set to vote, and Cyrah is announced as the winner.
Team L3THAL Fish is the winning team too, by far, with the most points and two competitors in the finals. The whole team-- made up of Hyosang, Prophet, Cyrah, Kannon and Cho-- is awarded special slots for the rest of the Vagabond Tour, as part of their win.

EPISODE TEN OUTLINE
Episode Ten is the semi-final; each competitor left in the competition had time to find a producer and build a song to face off against one of the others with. The pairings were randomized, and each rapper performed their song in front of an audience for fan approval. The highest ranking rapper in each pairing moves on to the finale, live in Kyoto.
TASKS
To earn points for your rapper, please complete the following tasks. These are not mandatory, and can be done at any time and still be counted. Refer back to last week’s tasks for more you can do, if you have not done them already
Weekly Confessional: post an interview or confessional about how your character is adapting to dorm life and the competition, along with their reactions to this week’s performances.*
Drabble: Write a short drabble (IC or OOC) about your character’s experience with writing their own music!
Threads: threads to do with the show can earn you points too. Para threads (200+ words) are worth more points than gif chats and one liners. Threads played out to their completion are worth even more points; if you finish a thread, submit the link to the last post in the thread to the Rivalstv blog.
Self Paras: self paras to do with the show (ie practicing, dorm life, self reflection, performances, calls home) can also earn you points. These can be done as often as you’d like as long as you provide some variety in the content.
Weekly Challenge: Each rapper was to find a producer close to them and create a song for the semifinal. Write a short para (IC or OOC) about your character’s reaction to all of this– we’d like to see something about the writing process, working with their team, their reactions to the actual performance, their rival’s performance, the other performances, and the eliminations.*
Tasks can be completed at any time. Episode-specific tasks are indicated with a little ‘*’ above, so when you complete them (even if you end up doing it in a few weeks or something), be sure to mark it as ‘EPISODE TEN’, be it as a title or in the info before your self para or something like that. Any completed tasks and challenges can be tagged ‘rivalsuprsdone’
WEEKLY PERFORMANCE
For this week’s main challenge, we have randomly generated pairs and have messaged everyone to make sure they’re good with the pairs. We also asked each person to pick a song for their muse. If there are any questions or concerns, please message the main.
Cyrah (ft. Jude prod. by Jett) Shadow vs. Roxy (self produced) Gucci Kannon (prod. by Sam) Cinderella vs. Yein (prod. by Prophet) Candy Haebi (prod. by Ryukji) Liquor vs. Melody (prod. by Hyuk) Scribbling

Episode Nine Summary
Episode Nine aired on September 28th, 2017 on MNet
Episode Nine had the rappers breaking off into pairs and joining producers to create original tracks-- they then performed them for the producers as a collective. The best pair each won tracks (one by Sam and one by Sonique), and the worst pair was eliminated from the competition.
Haebi was the winner of the previous week, so she got to pick her partners first, and though Cyrah didn’t pick her the previous week, Haebi chose Cyrah. She said in her confessional that she wanted to win and harboring hard feelings wouldn’t help that-- Cyrah was one of the best rappers their and she needed her. The pair then picked Hyuk to work with them.
Riko got second place, so she got to pick next, and picked Haein. When asked why, she answered that they both have similar energies so it felt like they’d work well together. They picked Ryukji to produce their track.
Melody was next in rank, so she got to pick her partner, and picked Roxy-- the budding friendship between the two only strengthening, or so it seemed. Melody voices clear disappointment that she can’t pick her dad to produce for them, but after a little team meeting, the pair pick Poet to produce their song.
Kannon and Yein are the last two, so they’re together by default. After some deliberation, they pick Hyosang to produce their song.
The teams work hard throughout the week. Yein expresses how weird it was to work with someone who has openly mocked her in the past, but also expresses surprise at how well they seem to work together, and is proud of what they seem to have accomplished. Roxy and Melody seem to have the most fun throughout the process, and while Poet is relatively reserved, their enthusiasm is infectious-- the camera catches him smiling a few times.
They perform their songs in the order that their pairs were made, so Haebi and Cyrah perform first. While their song is a little one note, they are complimented on their skill and technique.
Riko and Haein go next, and it’s a strange song. They are criticized for sounding a little disjointed.
Melody and Roxy go third. Their song is fully complete, and they are praised for that-- They both sing in it, and make a fully rounded, professional sounding song, that also happens to be catchy.
Kannon and Yein are told their song sounds more like a mixtape than a track, but that it’s not necessarily a bad thing-- they sound good on it and that’s in large what matters.
The producers take a while to deliberate, but Melody and Roxy are named the week’s winners by a long shot-- what takes a while is picking who will be eliminated. The race is close as the show draws to a close, and it’s hard to pick. But in the end. Haein and Riko are asked to leave.
The last shot is of Melody and Roxy recording their tracks. Melody breaks the record for most tracks won by a competitor on any season.

Episode Eight Summary
Episode Eight aired on September 22nd, 2017 on MNet
Episode Eight featured two performances-- the audience voted on their favorite performers, and while the top two got tracks made by Prophet and JJ, the bottom two were sent home in the show’s next elimination.
Cyrah and Melody were the top two performers the week prior, so they were told to pick teams for this week; Cyrah got second, so she got to pick first. She immediately picked Kannon, saying in the confessional that Kannon was a frontrunner in the competition and that they work well together, since they were on the same producer team. Melody picked Roxy first-- the two seemed to have formed a bit of a bond so far during the competition. For her next pick, Cyrah picked Yein, despite Yein have recently beating her in the diss battles-- she said that her pride was still broken, but that Yein was talented. Melody picked Haebi next, and in her confessional, Haebi stated that she thought she was much better than Yein and Roxy, and said she should have been picked earlier. Next, Cyrah picks Riko, and Melody picks Haein, leaving only Yitta and Baby J. Since Melody won the previous week, she is given the power to assign both to whichever team, and instead of keeping one, she assigns both to Cyrah’s. In a confessional, she reveals that she felt a little mean, but that those two hadn’t been performing very well thus far in the competition and she wanted her team to have the best shot at winning that they could get.
The teams break off and pick tracks for their songs before starting to write lyrics. Yitta struggles with her lyircs, but none except Yein seems all too willing to lend a hand to either of the younger members-- it’s clear that many of the other members of the team feel weighed down by the two sixteen-year olds, and that attitude seems to make the two younger ones feel excluded and out of place. Melody’s team seems to be working well together, though-- even though it is clear that Haebi thinks she’s the best of the four and appears to be acting like she’s above the rest of them.
They each get a rehearsal, and the producers give them notes they can improve on for the final show, and then it arrives-- the audience votes on their favorite rapper.
The best two are announced first-- Haebi is the winner of the week, and receives a track from Prophet. Riko is a very close second, and is given the JJ track. The rest of the rappers are slowly revealed by rank; Cyrah, then Melody, then Kannon, then Yein, then Roxy. Haein, Yitta and Baby J are the final three, and Seyeon bursts into tears when she realizes there’s a two in three chance that she’s the one going home, and it’s revealed that Yitta and Baby J are the two that are eliminated. In the confessional, Yitta mentions that she feels like they were robbed and that there was an attitude that week that they found toxic. It was clear that their group didn’t want them, and they didn’t do as well because of it.
The last shots of the episode are of Riko and Haebi recording their songs.

Episode Seven/The Finale Aired September 18th, 2017, on MNet. It was a live event.
With the finale finally here, and being broadcast across the nation live, it seemed the entire nation was holding it’s breath to see who would make the final group. Live voting was integrated into the finale, with viewers being able to text in last-minute votes all through the episode, until the group number.
The finale began with a montage-- a video of all 24 trainees, and the eliminations one by one-- before the host came out and welcomed the live audience, outlining how you could vote last minute. Then the format of the show was outlined-- one by one, the trainees would perform. Their final confessional would be broadcast, they’d talk a little with the host, and then a clip of their closest friends/their family cheering them on and wishing them well would be played for them to see.
Being the trainee in seventh place, Hyunjoo went first. He performed his song with Tyler, and then his confessional played, with a montage of his best moments throughout the show-- a lot of it was him hitting on girls (trainees and judges alike), but it was cut up with footage of him acting like a goofball and being his real self. The family member they interviewed over video chat were his brothers, who wished informed him that he would surpass them both as ultimate ladykiller, and that they were proud of him.
Next was Rey, performing her song and then watching her confessional before his interview. Her younger sisters were interviewed for her, both telling her that they missed her and hoping she would do well.
Mercedes went third, performing her song with  before his confessional and interview happened. Her family clip was without a doubt the most emotional one yet-- extended family were interviewed, telling her how proud her mother would be of her, and leaving Minah in tears.
Artemis was next. After all the usual proceedings-- emphasis being put on her vocal skill-- a video clip of her father was broadcast, informing her that she had his and her mother’s full support.
Sean was the third last to go, performing his song. His montage was shown, and then a video of Eliza Kim (his mentor) was shown, reading a letter from his brother-- Eliza mentions to the audience that Damien couldn’t find the time to record a video message when she’s done, and then she herself praises him, wishing him well.
Raekyung is second to last, and his montage is full of late hours-- cuts of him sneaking out of the dorm to practice long after the others have gone to sleep and him up in his dorm bed, thinking. His video is full of him trying to prove that he’s not just a a dancer or rapper-- he can sing too. His video from his parents is short but sweet.
Finally is Mirae (as she was first place after Episode Six, as well as throughout most of the competition). Her montage is a lot of hard work and her being hard on herself, but there are a lot of sweet cuts of Mirae looking out for Myungji, and of her spending time with Sean. Her video comes from her mothers, both of them doing well, and then Myungji comes out from backstage to deliver her message personally, prompting Mirae to burst into tears.
The host reveals that voting is now closed. Montages of the best performances of the show are played, along with final cuts of all seven trainees. And then all seven perform TTL.
After the group performance, the host is given a card with the final rankings, and he reads them from #1 first, and #4 last.
Mirae is ranked first, but that is no surprise-- she was first place for the majority of the competition.
Raekyung is ranked second place, and he joins Mirae, both of them holding each other. It’s a tearful hug, as both of them are clearly very happy to be where they are.
Artemis is the third one to be called up. She gives both Rey and Mercedes tight hugs, apologizing and wishing them well, before walking over to the other two.
Sean and Hyunjoo both look downright petrified, but when Sean’s name is called, Hyunjoo gives him a hearty pat on the back and a hug, ushering him to the other three and going to join Rey and Mercedes offstage as Sean joins the final four’s group hug. The host announces that the group will be named Syndicate. Their first single is said to already have music, lyrics and choreography-- they will be recording it and learning it in the next few days, along with getting styled and taking promo photos, before they debut on September 19th.
The host says that the first single is produced by MNet producers, however the rest of their songs are to be released under KWorks, their new label. He also announces the release of a two-disk Official Idol Project Season 3 CD that will come out shortly after their debut.
