Since there's not a lot of canon info about the boys a lot of this is OC creation/me taking even more generous creative liberties.

I also haven't named all their parents yet because it isn't very relevant right now, so I just put placeholders for Helia and Riven.

*Side Note: So I initially wrote a draft answer to this, but ended up taking a break mid-way through. This ask made me think deeper about the boys' dynamics with their families. More specifically, Brandon. I went into this with a very different idea in mind than what I settled on here, but it's definitely going to be interesting to explore this later. This also just made me realize that I need to finish my post on the races.

I have a cultural question, does everyone speak a common language or are there various languages ​​where, if so which ones and from those terrestrial languages ​​do they take inspiration or have their own new form, and is there an international language like English?

I never really put much thought into how the intricacies of language exchange would work in the magic dimension before these asks related to languages appeared.

It's been a fun thought exercise, and I think I like what I've settled on.

To answer this ask thoroughly, I feel like I need to explain how communication/language exchange work to begin with.

The Interplanetary Federation of Education (IFEd) created an interdimensional lexicon in order to promote cross-dimensional education. This allowed planets to voluntarily contribute their linguistic data within the lexicon, ensuring inclusivity and relevance across realms.

The culmination of this effort resulted in the development of a translation device pioneered on Zenith. It was designed to be worn discreetly on the ear, and was soon adopted into various educational institutions across the dimension.

While its primary purpose laid in academia, it quickly found utility among royalty and diplomatic envoys before ultimately permeating into everyday use among the general populace.

Evolving with time, newer iterations of the device boast an expanded repertoire of languages, rendering them more adept at facilitating cross-cultural communication. It's important to note that the translation device operates exclusively with languages pre-stored within the comprehensive lexicon, ensuring accuracy and reliability in interdimensional communication.

Now on to the actual components of the ask. I've organized the questions once again so I don't miss anything.

Does the magical dimension feature a common language spoken by all inhabitants, or are there various languages spoken?

Yes, even with the translation devices, there's still a common language that many learn throughout their education, but it isn't all encompassing. There are various languages spoken across all the planets, and some that are not implemented within the lexicon. Older models may also be incapable of translations.

2. Which terrestrial languages, if any, served as inspirations for the languages spoken in the magical dimension?

I haven't really thought too heavily on this so my opinions may change, but I do think that Flora would speak a language that has commonality with Spanish.

I also imagine Musa's native language is similar to Mandarin.

For some reason I feel like Zenith would speak a language that has similarities to Russian, but I don't know why.

I do feel like older planets like Domino would have their own form of language.

There is another ask that is specifically asking about the languages spoken on each planet, so I'll definitely ponder on this some more and answer it then.

3. Is there an international language similar to English in the magical dimension?

In terms of lingua franca status, yes. To pay homage to the original show, we'll just say that it sounds similar to Italian.

I'm confused about one thing, If Alfea in your writing is some kind of University, then to access it they have to go to a magical high school? What was the education of the Winx before Alfea

Alfea is open to all, so going to a magic school beforehand isn't necessarily mandatory, but it does help a lot with admissions.

Regarding royal weddings, how are they organised? They are mostly political or love purpose. Furthermore, in the past, in reality, princes had to marry another prince from other royal houses, in your Au and also like this? Sorry for the complicated question but so the marriages of the parents of the real Winx and Sky are arranged and are they related to each other?

It took me a bit to sort out the different points of your ask, but I believe I've organized it in a manner where I've (hopefully) answered every part of it. I will go a lot more in depth on the royal families as they become more relevant to the narrative.

How are royal weddings organized?

Yes, as noted in the first question, but ultimately, it depends on the planet. Some royal marriages include a member of royalty and a noble family. For example, Nabu and Aisha.

Are the marriages of the parents of the Winx and Sky arranged?

Yes, all of the Winx who come from a royal lineage have parents who come from arranged marriages.

*Sky's parents' marriage is a bit more complicated to explain in a simple tumblr post, but technically it wasn't arranged.

Are they related to each other?

No, they are not related to each other biologically, but depending on the family they might have political ties to each other. For example, Solaria Royal Family and Eraklyon's Imperial Family.

Chapter 12 Sneak Peek

Because I wasn't exactly diligent this week just thought I'd post a sneak peek for the chapter at least. It can also be read as just a one-shot I'd imagine just genuinely happening between Brandon and Timmy.

Brandon stood behind Timmy, holding up a shirt in front of him while they both faced the mirror. "What do you think of this one? I'm telling you, it'll look better if you wear it like this."

Timmy examined the shirt in the mirror with a hint of uncertainty in his eyes. "Are you sure about this?"

Brandon grinned confidently. "Of course, It's all about making the best version of yourself." He promptly handed the shirt to Timmy.

Sighing, Timmy decided to follow Brandon's advice and changed into the suggested outfit. He studied his reflection, adjusting the shirt slightly. Brandon leaned against the doorframe, eager for Timmy's reaction.

"Well?" He prompted.

Timmy hesitated before admitting, "I... don't mind it, actually."

"Great." Brandon exclaimed, a twinkle of excitement in his eyes. "Now, let's work on your hair." He motioned for Timmy to sit down.

Timmy sat down as Brandon gathered some styling products. "Is all of this really necessary?" He questioned.

Brandon nodded with a grin. "Absolutely. Putting effort into your appearance makes a good first impression."

Timmy, with a raised eyebrow, watched as Brandon gathered the styling products. "Do you even know what you're doing?"

Brandon chuckled. "I used to help my sister get ready all the time. I've got this." He extended his hands, prompting Timmy to remove his glasses and hand them over. Timmy hesitantly complied, feeling a bit vulnerable without his usual visual aid.

"Alright, let's work some magic." Brandon declared, taking a step back to assess Timmy's features. With a mischievous grin, he started styling Timmy's loose curls, his hands moving with a surprising level of skill and finesse.

As Brandon worked, Timmy remained silent, half expecting a disaster but unable to deny that Brandon seemed to know what he was doing. The room filled with the sound of Brandon's cheerful commentary and the occasional spritz of hairspray, creating an unexpectedly enjoyable atmosphere.

After a while, Brandon stepped back, admiring his handiwork. "What do you think?"

Timmy blinked a few times, adjusting to the absence of his glasses, before glancing at his reflection. Surprisingly, his hair looked well-styled and gave him a more polished appearance. He couldn't help but admit, "I didn't expect this to turn out so... decent."

With a final flourish, Brandon handed Timmy back his glasses. "There you go, my friend, now we're at the last part – accessories. Any preferences?"

Timmy put his glasses back on, adjusting them on his nose. "I don't really see the need for it."

Brandon shook his head, a playful smirk on his face. "No, absolutely not. This won't do. Accessories can make or break a look. You need something."

Timmy scanned Brandon's collection, unsure of what to pick. "I'll leave it up to you. You seem to know what you're doing."

Brandon grinned, pleased with the trust placed in him. "Good call. Give me your hand."

Timmy extended his hand, and Brandon slid a couple of rings onto his fingers. He then draped a necklace around Timmy's neck. "You know, you'd probably pull off some earrings too. You should consider getting your ear's pierced. "

Timmy raised an eyebrow but didn't dismiss the idea entirely. "Maybe I'll think about it."

"Alright, let's do a final look." The two stood side by side in front of the mirror.

Timmy eyed himself in the mirror, a mixture of surprise and approval on his face. The transformation had taken him from his usual reserved self to someone with a newfound sense of style.

Brandon stepped back, hands on his hips, and admired his work. "Looking good, If I wasn't helping you get ready for a date, I might have asked you out myself."

Timmy's eyes widened, caught off guard by Brandon's unexpected remark. A flush crept up his cheeks, and he stammered. "Uh, thanks, Brandon. I appreciate the help." He cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure.

Brandon chuckled, sensing Timmy's flustered state. "Relax, I'm just teasing. But seriously, go make me proud. I have to start getting ready myself."

Timmy nodded, still processing Brandon's playful comment, and headed out, wondering how Tecna might react to his new appearance.

What exactly are the required classes of Red Fountain?

Making an entire list for every possible combination is just not in my brain capacity (mainly because it'd basically be creating a literal university atp). It's just the classes that everyone has to take (regardless of specialty) + whatever is required for all their their enrolled specialties/subspecialties.

Now if you're asking for a list of the general required glasses like what was created for Alfea, then I added it here just for you. (It works a little differently from Alfea since there's required courses students of each school have to take). Even then the curriculum sheet is mainly meant to act a general guide just to get the gist of what each department is like and it's not meant to be an exhaustive list with every single class/option? possible at Red Fountain.

I do want to note that the curriculum sheet features a lot of the introductory courses that all the students need to take since that's what I'll be mainly be working with/using in the rewrite for right now. There's so much restructuring that would need to be done to get the full scope and scale of Red Fountain since there's a lot of advanced/more specialty specific classes/requirements missing. (Especially Arcane since Nabu is the main one with a specialty there outside of Sky, but he won't be relevant for a while)

So I know that Timmy is a Transfer student, but what year is he? It seems like he’s been at Red Fountain for a year or two.

This is actually an issue I've had with the profiles since it's just supposed to give basic information, but not all the boys have the same timeline. To clarify, Timmy used to be apart of Encode (this will be explained more later) on Zenith, but he spent a semester in an exchange program with Red Fountain which inspired him to transfer. So Timmy is considered a 2nd year alongside Brandon and Riven, but he has a little bit more time over them in terms of what counts towards his required classes.

Red Fountain Dormitory + Riven's Apartment

Here's all the boys' rooms + Riven's apartment since he wants to be different so badly.

Brandon's Room

Brandon is definitely a maximalist, he follows the philosophy that blank walls are meant to be filled. He's also a bit of a hoarder, so he has a lot of things he's received from his siblings as gifts scattered around. He also a big movie buff, so he has just about any poster you can imagine.

Timmy's Room

Timmy sees his room as a secondary workspace. He's often drafting new blueprints & prototypes, or studying for his next exam. He's absolutely fascinated with aircrafts, and has been building models since he was a child. His curiosity often leads him to taking things apart and studying the components.

Sky's Room

Sky is a simple man, he doesn't really understand a lot about decor, so he lets his friends do it for him. If you see any furniture or decorations in his space, it was most likely put there by Brandon or Stella. His favorite addition however, is the mural that Helia painted for him on the wall. Sky tries his best to make his room inviting for guests-and-strays alike, so he often has a lot of blankets, pillows, and spare bedding. Stella basically treats his room like a secondary home, so he leaves space for her to leave her things.

Helia's Room

Helia's room is like an art gallery. He has too many sketches and canvases scattered about to count. Helia sometimes forgets where he puts things, but he treats it as a pleasant surprise whenever he eventually finds it.

Nabu's Room

Nabu's room is a place for him to decompress. After coming to Magix, he needed a space for him that holds some familiarity. He likes to keep the lights to a minimum since he's used to spending a lot of time in dark caves and deep ocean pits, so he often opts to use candles when he can. He also has a lot of ingredients and artifacts scattered about his room.

Riven's Apartment

Riven likes to keep things simple, so he doesn't have a lot in his apartment outside of necessities. He even made a bookshelf to keep all of his books organized. Eventually, he makes some space for Flora to keep her extra plants since she ran out of space in her room. It somehow turned into her having her own corner in his apartment. He allows Bloom to put books onto his shelf for him to read later. It's also the designated meeting spot for the group, but he doesn't know that yet.

Decided to post the mood boards I made of the girls' rooms way back when. It pretty much hasn't changed at all for me since then.

Bloom's Room

Bloom's room is basically controlled chaos. Even when nothing ever seems to be in place, she still knows exactly where everything is. She's an avid reader, so she basically brought as many books as she could with her, but she's also looking forward to adding to her collection in Magix. She has pictures everywhere that remind her of her family and earth. It helps her deal with the homesickness.

Stella's Room

Stella's room is very, extra. She only expects the best, so every blanket, pillow, mirror, rug, etc. you see is basically worth more than what most people can afford. She prioritizes making her room as comfortable and cute as possible. Bloom is always worried about even touching anything when she sleeps in her room, but Stella always reassures her that she has people who can take care of any messes.

Flora's Room

Flora's room makes you feel like you're in a garden. It's very cozy and relaxing. The most notable thing is the pleasant aroma that naturally fills the air. Flora didn't realize how big her collection has gotten, but she couldn't give away any of her plants. They are all her close confidants.

Musa's Room

Musa's room acts as her sanctuary. She's made it a space where she can come back to relax after a long day. She often spends time writing music in her little mini studio. She in her element the most when she can just tune out the world.

Tecna's Room

Tecna doesn't see the need nor does she like any excess clutter. She enjoys having open free space, so she doesn't need to spend any extra time cleaning than necessary. She's quite proud of the setup she managed to create. It allows her to stream and work on her algorithms as seamlessly as possible.

Aisha's Room

Aisha's heart will always be with the sea, so she's brought a bit of it with her. There's various knickknacks from Andros that can be found scattered around her room. She also set up a wall to place all of her extra workout gear. There's a cleared space that allows her to stretch in the morning.
