My Voice.

The strongest, and scariest thing I've known. I'd bury it deep in my chest when I was sad, when I was angry, or scared, because I didn't want to be hurt. As I grew older, that negative energy would turn on myself, and I would belittle and doubt my strength or aptitude. I would be all alone, in the cave, as sometimes it would manifest from within me, lashing out on my body, leaving wounds fresh upon the paper skin of my body and mind. I hated it. I hated myself, and I hated that I had no were else to turn it upon. When I grew older still, and found friends beyond the forest, I would fear letting them know what ailed me. I would fear that I would be pushed away, or dashed acrossed the stones, all in that maybe, just maybe, they didn't want to help. I would fight the voice inside as it had turned into a beast, manifesting all the things I would hate about myself. I sought to conquer it, become better than it, and cast aside that part of myself to become a sentinel guardian of those I loved. A matyr who would suffer in the silence of the environment and mind. However, with time, wisdom, and love, I grew to understand that bottling that up is what would ultimately kill me. Whether intentionally or otherwise... I've grown stronger since this revelation, and have united the beast I saw in myself. Despite what the doubts inside my mind may say, I know that I have power over that voice, and can control it. That I may understand how to practice conveying how I feel, how I think, and how I explain how I act. That I may channel the anger that blooms in my chest away from myself, and defend against thinking that whatever misfortune surrounds me is somehow my fault.

I know what words can do to me, and others, but it is in thinking before I speak is how I channel that voice to better serve me. It maybe a double edged sword. It maybe a spear. It may resonate in others. It may strike from afar. It may come close from the chest.

But I will raise Mo Ghlór if you harm me or the ones I love. *Ahem* Long story short, this is me putting to word the lore behind my signature weapon I dub "Mo Ghlór", my voice, and therefore tying it to apart of my overall growth as a person.

Sara - Can your oc play any instruments? Have they ever wanted to learn how to play any? Why? A) She could play an instrument as much as someone who hasn't learned how could. When she was still at home with her family, there was one effort to have her learn piano, and that only lasted for that one day [She wasn't allowed near it again]. As far as maybe wanting to learn now? I could consider her maybe learning Maracas. It'dve helped her maybe during her dances, but I think she'd just enjoy the hell outta performing with them. Mirabelle - Does your oc prefer being in a crowd or being completely alone? How many people can be around them before they get uncomfortable? A) I think she likes being around folks. When she was younger, she'd get lonely, so she always had a caretaker who'd stick around and watch over her. I think what makes it a problem is when there's really big house party levels of people [so like more than 20 people], OR when the house itself / overall space is small. I can absolutely see her though going out to watch a concert with somebody and enjoying the crowd atmosphere though! Dakota - How quiet or loud is your oc? Are they easily capable of sneaking around without being heard, or do they feel it’s impossible to stop talking? A) Dakota is fairly quiet when he wants to be. If anything, I think they kinda suffer the same problem I do when he either gets excited or angry that he will get louder. Sometimes he can catch it before he does, but not always. Aside from that though, you'll know they're in deep into something when you can hear their heavy metal through from headphones. Jicama - How much does your oc swear? Or do they keep completely clean? Why is this? Is there any situation where they would be the opposite? A) Swearing is a very casual thing when it comes to Jicama's speech, but its never done in excess, mainly cause he doesn't feel the need to. I think the only time he'll never outright do it is if there's a kid around, but he isn't perfect. Soutman - How energetic is your oc? Do they have trouble sitting still or do they feel low on juice all the time? Any reason why? A) Oscar has quite a bit of energy, but has learned ways to manage it. When he was younger, he thought he was invincible like the energizer bunny due to managing to help out during dinner time with his family, but when he was rolling with his first bandmates, he was finding himself overextending. So for as much as he would be excited to do everything presented to him, he has learned to say no when his plate is full.

For Dandara - Would you say your oc is bashful about intimate conversations, or are they the blunt one that makes everyone else uncomfortable? I wanna say she was very blunt when it comes to talking to others about their more intimate times when she was just becoming a mature heart imp, but has, with help from her friends, become a lot more tempered in that regard. Its not that she does it to make people uncomfortable, she just gets real happy when those around her talk about things they love, and that is just how receptive she is. For Jiji - Is your oc the type to frustrate others because they want too much, or do they tend to give too much? More often then not, she ends up frustrating other Diamond Imps, because she helps her master invest their wealth, and in doing so manages to have more sway. [A little bit of "Putting my name in the will" kind of operating] When certain enterprises seem good in her eyes, she pushes for her master to dump quite a bit of coin. Sometimes she nails it, sometimes she nails it QUITE well, and only rarely has had things fall through. [Though the opportunity for her opinion for investing into certain spaces is also kind of rare.] Kind of a leap of faith, as it were.

For Khal - Does your oc trust the judgment of others?

If its her friends or boss? Absolutely. If it's a random schmuck. Yes, but not on the grounds of actual trust, and it's more "If you fall through / arent reliable, I get to kick your ass." And people don't usually want that, so they do right by her. For Qux - How does your oc act toward anger from others? She does not take it well, and ends up sort of freezing herself up and away. The turn of phrase "chills down her spine" is essentially what ends up happening if people get angry with her. She shuts up, muscles tense, and barely even eeks out a word.

For Gymnyst - Is your oc the type to enjoy massages or prefer not to be touche?

I'd say she would absolutely enjoy massages. Might even help the gems inside her to be more vibrant! [Just don't massage her broken open leg, she'll start giggling cause she's ticklish.] For Kryll - Is your oc the jealous type? Why?

Kryll herself is an imp who very much likes attention and hasn't wained off it ever since she got her horn injury. She gets jealous of those around her if they get pampered more than she does. [Bit of a spoiled brat in that regard]

Q: Sara 👻 GHOST - do they believe in ghosts? what are their "ghostly experiences", if any? A: I think she doesn't really believe in ghosts, but she has had one very weird experience she never got a good explanation for. So once upon a time, there was a period of her life after having left her home she had lived on a boat for a while with her uncle and her uncle's crew. She earned her spot there by going around, doing the odd job of finding tools, cleaning, and checking on problem areas for the ship maintenance team. As the months go by, she's sorta cemented herself as a reliable person amongst the people on the ship. In comes this new shipment of items, and as night rolls around, one of the maintenance crew is working on the light systems on the topside of the boat, and she's there to basically be the light. She then starts to hear some weird creaking from in the cargo stacks, mentioning it only to receive a "eh that's just the boat's bones." Fast forward a bit to the guy asking her to run back to maintenance to get some supplies for him to finish up on this repair, and she ends up getting spooked on the way there. She's navigating through the stacks before seeing one of the doors having creaked open, and, in the very pitch blackness of it, she sees a pair of glowing eyes inside. This freaks her out, causing her to fumble her flashlight, and SOMETHING to have ran from that cargo container, past her. She attempts to give chase, but it only leads her to the edge of the boat, and the water that's down beneath. She thought that, whatever it was, it ended up going overboard, but she never really heard a splash that night. After coming back with the supplies, and some of the crew rallying to check on the open container, there was no sign of anything "living" having been in there.

Q: Soutman 🍰 CAKE SLICE - favourite cake flavour? are they specific about types of cakes?

A: Lemon Cake! As far as what type of lemon cake, or if its more of just a "what type of cake" he enjoys more than others, I don't think he's terribly picky. Q: Dakota 🌏 EARTH - will they give up the world for someone they love? is this decision easy for them?

A: After some time of thinking on this, I'd have to say that he feels like he's already done so. [ This, of course, happening before his reunion with Paolo. ] He was, after having graduated with his degree in Chemistry, going planning on going right into the field, but he was pulled away to come back to his family and work at the winery. The regrets of that decision have started to settle in to a certain degree. He loves his family, but he doesn't feel like he's grown beyond them. Now if he had to do something similar for Paolo? It would depend on the situation. I don't know it he would be as easily able to make the same decision having already done so. If it came down to it though, I think he could give up his world for him, but it'd hurt like heck.

Mirabelle ✂️- what is the "last straw" for them to cut someone out of their life? how easily do they let go of people?

If you're a sour sort of grumpy person, she wouldn't give up on you. If you've done something real bad, she'll give you a chance, and maybe a second one too if you're trying. If you're someone who is straight up terrible, and just don't care, she will drop you faster than she dunks rotten apples. This part of her ended up developing a couple years before she ended up leaving her Sourdough family name to live with Wilbur. The patience and willingness to give people a chance though, only grew from her time living with him during the years after. To drop someone out of her life means that the person has not shown a willingness to change their behavior, and has constantly been of ill repute character. As far as how easily it'd be? It'd depend on how close they were and for how long, and how they're behaving now. It certainly wouldn't be as hard as when she left her family though.

Jicama 🏊 SWIMMING - can they swim? or are they afraid of water? how well do they swim? how do they feel about swimming in the ocean?

Jicama has an interesting relationship with water.... Jicama certainly knows how to swim, but only ever does so to guarantee getting out of or into some form of safety from it. His fear of water only ever shows up when its the ocean, or a similarly big body of water that he can't see any safety or shoreline. He will, more often than not, just sort of shut down and float if he can't reach safety. He couldn't tell you why it happens, that he just gets paralyzed like that, but what I'd tell you is that it's cause of how he ended up surviving while escaping Limbo.

Reference art #3 - Parys Beau Fun Fact: When I had first came up with them, I had imagined them with blackened fur until the head area, which then slowly shifted to a paley purpley color. With a fire/glow around them to match. The working name, before I had wrote down the name “Saucey Boi.” was “Candle Demon.”
