keep in mind, I only entered the findom space about a month ago (though I have many more years of knowledge about BDSM in general and did a lot of research on findom before diving in myself, haha).

essentially findom, like most other kinks, is about the exchange of power. in a patriarchal society where men's wealth is psychologically linked to their success and worth, by offering money freely to their dom, they are giving up their "power" and by doing this, pay pigs can indulge in a deep act of ultimate submission.

for people that are genuinely into this kink, subs should feel aroused at the thought of sending money to their dom, and doms should feel aroused from the thought of receiving money from their sub.

some people might even practice a total power exchange (TPE) where a dom dictates the entire budget and finances of a sub's day to day life (I personally find this concept to be incredibly hot 🔥).

of course, not all findoms are women (I'm an example) and not all finsubs are men. but afaik a majority of the kink plays off of the same power dynamics as femdom, so women in power is a huge draw for most subs.
