Music therapy through Electronic Device to relieve stress, depression, hypertension and insufficient sleep.
Music Therapy is an established health profession in which music is used within a therapeutic relationship to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals. Hirohashi and Oyama-Higa(2008) states that, Music therapy is a type of therapy that uses music for the purpose of psychiatric treatment. It begins with an assessment process that includes goal-setting, treatment program design, and initial session, a documented evaluation, and a treatment conference [1].
People take antibiotic medicine to reduce stress. These medicine have their side effects. We need to find a method that does not have any side effects. Music therapy might be useful in reducing stress without any side effects. With the current technology a lot of devices can be used in order to monitor one’s current state. According to Pingle(2016), Every human experiences stress in their life. This stress can lead to many problems, particularly depression. Stress can increase a person’s heart beat rate, blood pressures, cortisol level and various other parameters. There are conventional methods to reduce stress i.e. by consuming antibiotic medicine. But this method might have side effects. The other way which may be used to reduce stress is by listening to musical ragas. This is known as music therapy. Music Therapy helps a person to calm down his brain waves. This in turn would reduce stress of a person and consequently all the parameters of stress i.e. heartbeat, blood pressure, cortisol level might also reduce [2].
Hypertension is a common clinical disease and a major risk to human health. In a study conducted by Yu et al.  (2009) also states that Many clinical findings indicate that certain types of music can reduce blood pressure (BP), and music therapy is considered as an important part of anti-hypertension treatment. Using an electronic device (MP3 Player) that can detect the current BP value with a cuff less measurement method [3]. According to the current BP value, the MP3 player selects certain types of music for playing in order to make the hypertension of patients less severe[3]. Yu et.al (2010) stated that Relationships between specific music phrases and cardiovascular variability promote music therapy to an important part of anti-hypertension treatment. The new portable device which is made up of health accessories and mobile software, can measure user’s BP with a cuff less technique, do data processing, display waveforms and parameters and play selected music. The strategy of music selection is based on correlation coefficient, which derived from rhythm of music phrases and blood pressure. The coefficient determines the type of music should be selected and played [4].
In today’s technology a lot of things can be done in any electronic device especially through smartphones. Smartphones are capable of doing a lot of things. With the right software, it can change nothing into something. People having a hard time trying to fell asleep can use music therapy. If music therapy is implemented in an electronic device people can now benefit with music therapy without actually having a real musical therapist. Anytime and anywhere they can use music therapy in order to relieve stress, depression, hypertension and insufficient sleep. In a study conducted by Phasukkit et al. (2015), they stated that this experiment uses devices such as sleep tracker to save the results of a sleep and electroencephalogram (EEG) to detect brainwaves while enjoying music. However, this study considers only a general sleep and sleep event that a relaxed with the music. Sleep is an importance for a living organisms while sleeping cell body is still active. Sleep is a condition that the conscious awareness of the person changes without recognition and in response to the environment is decreased while sleeping but wake up with the appropriate stimulation. The best time of sleep is during 10 p.pm because that is a perfect time of physiological sleep without force otherwise if you do not sleep during this time that cause your body to feel tired and exhausted. The length of time that is sufficient to sleep duration is 7-9 hours [5].
With the proper use and implementation of Music therapy through electronic device, a lot of illness can be cured or relieved. It also reduce the cause of having an actual professional musical therapist and you can use it anytime and anywhere as long as you have the right electronic device.

About me
I am Rex John G. Aragon,I am 18 years old. I was born on October 2, 1998. I live at #3 kawayan drive, Matina, Davao City. I am currently studying at USEP Obrero campus. I am a Third Year (3rd) student taking up Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at University of Southeastern Philippines Obrero Campus. I graduated high school at Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School (DRANHS) and I spent my primary and elementary education at Davao Holy Trinity Academy.
I love sports a lot especially basketball and I also love music. After I graduated high school my life style became different. In my high school and elementary days almost every day I played basketball but now that I’m in college i rarely played the game that is why I gained weight a lot. Now, I’m into computers I like building computers especially gaming computers. I like it because I really enjoyed building and playing on it and I also applied some of the knowledge that I learned from my course.
 Subject expectation
My subject expectation is that it’s not going to be an easy subject. I expect that this subject will push us to our limit like any other subject that we encounter from the semesters. Every major subject is a hard one. The quizzes, exams and especially projects will make us struggle and make us show what we really got. I expect that we will I expected this negative things because I know this course is difficult and without extra effort no one can pass through this course and this kind of subjects. I trust myself and my classmates that if we help each other and if we give extra efforts we can survive this subject and this course. Even though I am saying some negative thoughts about this subject, I hope that all the things that I said was wrong and our instructor will help us learn and help us grow as a good computer science student and make us better in order for us to face other difficult subjects with a good knowledge and confidence.
  Preferred subject track
Among all the electives that I may select. I select Business Intelligence. Why? I selected it because I think it can help me grow as a computer science student and because Business Intelligence refers to technologies, applications and practices for the collection, integration, analysis, and presentation of business information. I chose this elective because someday I want to work in a business company someday and I want to be adept in this kind of field. The other reason why I selected this elective is that I am not good at the other fields especially when it comes with programming. I noticed that all of the electives are somewhat connected with each other. Even if we select one there will always be connections with each elective. That is why no matter what elective we select, we must practice to be good in whatever elective it is.
