My head is full of useless but interesting information; memorable movies, quotable quotes, past and present pranks, delectable dishes, extraordinary experiences, and musical melodies. My Blarney Blog is quite simply a medium for me to document these laughs, tastes, moments, and songs, in order to make room for new ones. Refreshingly honest, welcome to RJs Blarney Blog.

The secret to life.
This applies to both men and women: use a men's razor, and women's shaving cream.

Inking contractual agreements came naturally to me, even at the ripe young age of 12. At that time, I was obsessed with weapons; ninjas, butterfly knives (which my parents let me collect everytime we visited the Philippines), samurai swords, and eventually progressed to bb guns.
Basically from 1989-1991, I begged my pops for a bb gun to no avail, already knowing that I stood absolutely no chance asking mom. Never one to take "no" for an answer, the only solution was to type up a contract allowing me to bargain with chores, practicing my organ, and working at the Red Rooster for leverage in order to get what I wanted. A hard offer to refuse, pops eventually signed the dotted line after many pitches.
A couple of years prior, I tried the same thing with a hand-written approach for a 50 cc motorbike. Seeing as though I was only in elementary, that deal didn't push through, but you'll see that my arguments were quite compelling.
You win some, you lose some, but always state your case. You'll never get what you want if you don't learn how to ask for it.

The Next Generation
My mom needs me to fill her prescription for her before our trip to the Philippines to visit them In February 2012.
Her solution: "Darling take this big calendar I got from the doctor's office. It has his name and phone number to remind you to call them for the prescription."
My response: "How 'bout I just make a note in my iPhone, and you keep the big calendar."
My pops: "What an amazing gadget that is huh?"
Me: "Yes. Wow. A digital calendar."

Do you remember that one favorite book that your mom or dad used to read to you every night? The one you memorized all the pictures to and could tell the exact story as if you could already read it yourself? This one was mine, "Dick Whittington".
It's a story about a poor boy who becomes the mayor of London, a real rags to riches story.
There is a rich man, his daughter, a ship, and cat involved. All integral pieces to an amazing storyline.
My Pop made me say good bye, so he could pass it on to my niece, Kayleigh. Although reluctantly, I oblige.

Why The Eff?
Why the eff are government or revenue related mailed out envelopes sealed on the bottom as opposed to the top like every one else's mail?

After the Griffins won the lottery...
Lois: Oh Peter, it's beautiful! Is it a blood diamond?
Peter: Ah, the bloodiest. The two kids who found it were forced to kill each other.
