&&. FengJingXing hc,
Dan Feng is the first to send nudes. Mostly because he's going to turn into his dragon form and asks Baiheng to take a picture when he strips. His tail covers up most of it but he still reveal his hips, thighs, and back. Faint scales on his sides and thighs. He's looking at the camera with a small smirk visible. As if saying, "look. It's yours."

"Jingliu was the one to use this word, yet she refuses to add context." He had hopes that Baiheng would know, but since she does not... "I don't feel keen to inquiring further if this means dragging Jing Yuan and Yingxing in the conversation."
"Baiheng," calls Dan Feng after a long while of debating wifh himself. "Do you happen to know the meaning behind the word 'twink'?"
@roaringdr4gon
Baiheng's foxian ears twitch after hearing Dan Feng
"Yes Dan Feng?"
Baiheng answers back cheerfully
"The word 'Twink'? No I don't think i have..."
"Have you asked Jing Yuan or Jingliu?"
"I'm actually curious to know now too~"

Once given the man’s phone, Dan Feng goes through it to find the call area. Of course, he notices the wallpaper, smiling softly at the sight. He can’t resist the question, “is she your daughter?” while adding his number to the phone. Fairly, she’s big enough to be Yingxing’s sister, but who knows? Dan Feng presses the call button once he ends typing and his phone rings atop the table. The smaller ends the call and hands Yingxing’s phone back to him.
It’s a good thing to have eye for your business,” Dan Feng praises, turning around. Is his house really that empty? “Although you’d need to know me better on behalf of being certain about these plans of yours, Craftsman.” The tease slips past his lips, something about Yingxing making Dan Feng want to enter this game.
Given that Yingxing has finished his job, there shouldn’t be any reason for him to linger anymore. Dan Feng moves to pick up his wallet, the price that Baiheng said still lingering in his mind even though he adds one extra note. “Thank you for coming as quick as you did, and for resolving my problem efficiently. I’d invite you for dinner if I didn’t have to be in the hospital within the next hour.” Then, Dan Feng pauses, eyebrows furrowing. “Wait here,” he says as he goes back inside his living room and then washroom. When he’s back, he has a small packet of cream with himself. “The skin of your hands is dry. It can cause the skin to become rough, and in the worst case, open up a wound. Please, use this three times a day.”
Unsurprisingly, Yingxing is easy enough to talk to. He reminds Dan Feng of Baiheng in a way. Not the sunshine-like personality, but the cheerful and active one. Teal eyes watch the proudness spark something new in that man’s face, and finds himself staring at his smile. Then he turns around, leaving Yingxing alone for a while.
When Dan Feng comes back, he has a cream coating two fingers. “Stay still,” says the smaller, reaching over to hold Yingxing’s bangs that have fallen in front of his eyes, then pressing the two wet fingers over the place the repairman has bumped a while ago. “You should be more careful when working. To get a concussion is very easy.”
As a doctor, Dan Feng is strict and likes to ensure that everyone is safe. Once the older man spreads that cream, he nods, satisfied, then moves to clear his hands with a towel. “Is it alright to have a stranger watching you work, Yingxing? I suppose I’d feel a bit uncomfortable if it were me.” Then again, he’s not letting the opportunity go easily either. “But given that you was so considerate by inviting me over, I see no reason to decline. Give me your phone for a moment?”

"I'm actually curious..." Yingxing leans over the table, very rudely pointing his chopsticks at Dan Feng. "Am I the first short-life human you've ever been interested in?"
Not being one to tell lies just to please someone, Dan Feng brings a hand to his chin as he thinks about it. The Vidyadhara pointedly ignores the rude manner in which it was addressed merely because it is Yingxing. “I cannot say with assurance that this is the case. My past lives come to me in dreams, and their loved ones as well, but it is something difficult to be certain of when my dreams aren’t linear.” His answer is purposefully obtuse, because Yingxing wasn’t specific. However, Dan Feng quickly drops his act to add, “When it comes to this life, you can consider yourself the first short-lived to catch my interest.”

Not even Dan Feng knows how many times in the past he had come to dream of this reunion. Dream & daydream, for Yingxing was in each of his thoughts, always. The minor things would remind him of the Furnace Master, and the High Elder would go silent, melancholic, or nostalgic. He’d wonder where Yingxing was, if he was eating well, sleeping correctly— Dan Feng didn’t want to entertain the thought of Yingxing never coming back, mostly because he knew what state he’d get in. And such a thing was not befitting someone of his rank, someone that had too many political affairs and battle plans to have his mind on.
The water was proof of this reality, hence why he didn’t remove it. Instead, he wanted to drown himself with Yingxing, just so he’d feel the man’s warmth closer to himself. But, he realized, almost breathlessly, that Yingxing was warm, nevertheless. It was not the cold water what kept him warm for Dan Feng’s touch— it’s just his own existence. Yingxing has always been warm, has always smelled like fire and metal and grease. Each word said to him is listened to with attention, and of course, Dan Feng doesn’t let it go unnoticed when Yingxing starts crying.
Long, cold fingers reach up to sink between the wet white locks of hair. The dragon finally uses cloudhymn magic to get rid of the wetness, because he wants to feel Yingxing’s hair soft against his skin and his hot tears on his lips without interference. And of course, his Yingxing doesn’t wait a moment more: he jumps to take what belongs to him, and Dan Feng smiles, something he hasn’t done for years. He smiles in their kiss, smiles as he presses himself harder against Yingxing, as he forces the taller man to match his desperation.
That close-mouthed kiss is followed by more pecks, and then Dan Feng is kissing up Yingxing’s cheeks, kissing his tears away. “Nothing is going to take you away from me again, Yingxing.” Dan Feng doesn’t say he promises, because this is not a promise to Yingxing. It is a vow, one for himself. This may end up having consequences, and maybe Yingxing will not like them that much. Love and obsession walk on a thin line together, and it’s so easy to cross the barrier. But for now, it’s only happiness and hugs and feast. Dan Feng’s arms remain firmly around Yingxing’s neck as he pulls the man down for another kiss, this one open and slower. The need to feel these lips on his own is absurd, hence why Dan Feng goes about it calmly, deliberately— he takes his time to feel and taste Yingxing all over again, to rediscover things he remembers but didn’t have the chance to do again.
There were times in which Dan Feng would prepare Yingxing’s coffee just to assure himself that he still knew, would walk to his forge and read the projects atop the table just to be certain that someone once wrote them. That Yingxing was not an illusion in his mind, that his smile was the same in his memories.
In all these years that came to pass, Dan Feng had set a camp of researches to monitor the region. The man was convinced that something could have happened beyond their explanations, merely because he didn’t want to accept Yingxing’s sudden demise. Many times, he would sit himself in front of Yingxing’s grave and wonder if he had gone insane, if the mara was finally affecting the Vidyadhara as well. Maybe this was another type of madness, one that Yaoshi had nothing to do with, and instead was Long’s curse.
But his obsession paid off somehow. The moment in which imaginary energy starts to concentrate in an area nearby, Dan Feng instantly gets up. He’s secure in himself and knows he can handle most incoming battles, what doesn’t mean he will simply allow unknown energy to gather suddenly and not be ready to stop it if its purpose is destruction. Not here, in this site that should be preserved for more investigation. (Although he must admit that the scientists of the Luofu already said there isn’t anything else to be investigated. He had requested scientists from the Yaoqing instead.)
Once the fissure grew steadily until it took the format of a rift, Dan Feng summoned Cloud Piercer. Many things could come out of special fissures; however, this one seems to be forcibly opened. The way imaginary energy condenses around the atmosphere reminds Dan Feng of the residual energy he could feel when he got at the destroyed camp, and the man can’t help but hope that maybe it can be Yingxing coming back home. However, it could also be something or someone else, and for that, Cloud Piercer is ready.
What he did not expect was a version of himself suddenly popping out of the rift. Teal eyes widen with surprise, cloudhymn gathering around his spear and ready to fire. The other doesn’t seem to have much time, for he goes to the point rather quickly— until he stops to cast a gaze at Yingxing’s tomb. That’s the moment in which Dan Feng knows: he feels the same thing as I do. But this person doesn’t seem to be from this universe; as emanator of Long, Dan Feng can easily notice how the particles around the rift conjure distortions in time and space. Is it a different version of himself, then? He doesn’t look much different by appearance or speech, so it’s hard to discern which point in time this Dan Feng in front of him comes from.
But the High Elder is attentive to the words given to him, and that hope within his chest just doesn’t stop growing. He wants to will it down, else he will be disappointed in the end, but he just can’t, and his eyes dart to and fro the portal. That’s why he can see Yingxing, his Yingxing, crossing the portal. For a moment Dan Feng wants to pinch himself to see if this is true, but instead, he throws water at the both of them; if this is an illusion, he’s not going to be fooled easily.
It turns out that they are not, in fact, an illusion. Both Dan Feng and Yingxing get very much wet from the sudden attack, although by the mere change of this not being all a deceptive lie, Dan Feng hadn’t added any real attack to his action. Everything seems to zero around Yingxing once this discovery is done. Dan Feng leaps forward, Cloud Piercer still in hand, and wraps his arms around the wet man, not caring that his own clothes were going to be wet as well. First, he hugs the man close, listening to his breathing and heartbeat. Then he pulls away slightly, tail coming to wrap itself around one of Yingxing’s legs as it used to in the past. Both hands cup Yingxing’s face, that man still taller than Dan Feng, what doesn’t stop the High Elder from just looking at him. “Are you really here, or am I finally gone mad?”

Most of the times, Dan Feng is patient. He uses meditation to work on it and knows very well the necessity of letting things flow through their course. But as much as people see him as Long’s incarnation, at the end of the day, Dan Feng is just a person. Which means he’s getting very tired & impatient for not achieving his desired result even after a full hour of them mixing the dough has passed. The only thing that reveals his impatience is the slight frown shaped by his eyebrows, and the tail behind his back, lashing against the floor from time to time.
That, and the way he started to punch the dough.
“Perhaps we should just bake it as it is,” teal eyes squint at the dough as if gets stuck between his fingers, internally threatening it to let go or else he’d call up his cloudhymn. When it did not let go, Dan Feng’s tail lashed against the floor with such intensity that likely left a mark, but he was too angered (by a dough, of all things… how very unbecoming, right in front of Jing Yuan!) which then resulted in his Cleansing Dragon taking form. Not only the dough, but also the ceiling ended up being sent away. Good thing that they are at Dan Feng’s place, right?
The High Elder closes his eyes to collect himself, then turns back towards Jing Yuan as if nothing had just happened. “Let us begin from scratch once more with the flour that is left, shall we?” They are both covered in flour and damp dough, but Dan Feng seems to only get Jing Yuan’s state in his mind. “Jing Yuan, at this rate one may think you are what I’m going to bake.” A small smile appears on his face, so soft and gentle— so rare to be found in Dan Feng. He reaches a hand to touch Jing Yuan’s forearms and, much more carefully than what just happened with the dough, water starts to flow, a serpentine dragon made of it coursing over Jing Yuan’s skin until it gathers all the unnecessary substances. “This is better. Also, do let me know if you’d like a break, please. Jingliu may train your resistance, but I’m a doctor a heart, thus, you shall have all rest you request— and need— when in my presence.”
@celesticlnstcrs | Dan Feng x Jing Yuan
Cooking was not in his list of most-perfected-arts, but Dan Feng wasn’t wholly defenseless in the kitchen. Then again, he could have just bought something instead of making it by hand, but he’d not get the chance to do so at Jing Yuan’s side like right now. Even the High Elder Yinyue-jun, an incarnation of Long, is smart enough to tell that he feels some kind of special way towards this Xianzhou native.
This doesn’t mean that he will act on his feelings, of course, because not even Dan Feng understands what he feels with precision. Jingliu had called him obtuse and Yingxing had outright called him dumb, both making Dan Feng grow even more confused instead of providing the aid he so much needed. Matters of the heart aren’t fit for the Vidyadhara, not anymore, especially because they can’t reproduce anymore. Perhaps a very important part of their nature was lost when they reached this point but thinking about it and the legends of their original planet, it seems like it was one of the lesser evils.
Alas, this is an opportunity for Dan Feng to spend more time with Jing Yuan. Yingxing is locked in his forge to finish a gift he probably will get too shy to give, and Jingliu is keeping the subject of their gifts busy. Baiheng’s birthday is next day, and the boys are still fanning over the gifts they will give to her. Although, by the way things are going in the kitchen, perhaps only Yingxing’s gift will reach Baiheng…
“Jing Yuan, I don’t think it is normal for the dough to be this damp.” Dan Feng isn’t even using his magic— it’s his bare hands that knead the sticky dough, using cooking glovers, of course. They are also dressed to fit the kitchen, long hair tied up in a high bun, bangs tucked behind his long ears. An apron is around his slender form-fitting kimono, white jacket set aside to don’t get dirty. There’s flour on his face, from when they began kneading the dough, and now he started punching it to try get the form quicker. “Do you think we should add more flour?” It is, however, the third packet of flour that he wants to add. Something must be very wrong here.
#[ D. Feng; dragon scales ]#its ok they can try it again#and if things don't end well#then they just go buy together#dan feng is already pondering over this thought for too long lmao

@roaringdr4gon continued from here
"She didn't? Here I thought you'd have wanted to know more about me before letting me into your home. Not to mention Baiheng loves to talk." Then again, she hasn't told him all that much about Dan Feng, either. Apparently he was Jingliu's friend first, which makes sense now knowing both of them.
The pipe comes lose and Yingxing ducks back out from underneath the sink, brandishing his prize. It seems like he mostly just needs to give it a thorough cleaning as a temporary solution, though he'll probably come back to install a new one to consider his job truly done.
Reaching into his toolbox for a pipe cleaning brush, he shakes his head. "For me, it's more uncomfortable to have a day pass without being in the forge. Even if I don't get many commissions, I like to keep my hands busy and keep improving my skills. You're welcome to watch some time if you're interested."

There is no way that he was smooth with his cover up, and he can hear the sound of something bumping against some other thing—but it does not mean that he will fall off his game.
“Baiheng did not give information about you in general.” She did, but Yingxing doesn’t have to know it. “Isn’t it too uncomfortable to work in a forge when the weather is this unforgiving?”
The man leans a hip against the threshold as he watches the man working. Gods what a sight. All ripe muscle, and splayed like this... he must shake himself off this. “Since I never went to one myself, it is quite difficult to imagine.”
"Hot." Dan Feng hasn't noticed that he spoke aloud. His eyes widen and he snaps his head up, pretending to be angry at the windows. "I mean, the weater. It's been hot lately." Yeah. Sure. Definitely not the man taking care of his damaged sink.
@roaringdr4gon
@roaringdr4gon
Yingxing bonks his head against the sink when what Dan Feng said registers, but he hopes it wasn't noticed. The cover-up is incredibly obvious, and he has to work hard not to snort.
He wasn't intending to look attractive when he took off his button up to reveal the tank underneath that does quite flatter his muscles as they strain to pull out the damaged pipe. Mostly he was just thinking about how he's getting sweaty from the work. But, well, he's not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.
"Mmh, very hot. Really makes me envious of your fancy AC. My apartment gets unbearable in the heat, and then I also have my forge out back..."
