I’ve been meditating with crystals for a few months now. For me, it’s a liberating experience.
I place these four stones around me and rotate them every session.
Selenite: directional energy, calming, perfect for concentration.
Howlite/Natural: (accidentally found this stone) great for bones, helps you understand perspectives, obtain non-violent communication.
Citrine: mood lifting, therefore eliminating depression, claiming and unknown to me, my second birthstone (Leo)
Amethyst: soothing, eliminates headaches helps maintain a positive environment.
I may try some others soon, but I’ll rock with these in the meantime

“I didn't know how to get into the business. The only thing I had was a desire, and people thought I had talent. But then what? How do you get a job? How do you audition? I didn't come from people who could pay my bills. So I dove in. When your passion and drive are bigger than your fears, you just dive. I've been on my last unemployment check before with no way to pay my bills, but we stay in it because we all know it's an occupational hazard.”
-Viola Davis during The Hollywood Reporter’s “Close Up” Roundtable Discussion with Ruth Wilson (The Affair), Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Honourable Woman), Jessica Lange (American Horror Story: Freak Show) and Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex)

Wonder why more people don’t speak up when it comes to the politics of social nightlife. We go out to have a good time and ignore life’s realities, but they find a way to catch up with us.
Let’s stop trying to escape it.
Protesters outside Dstrkt nightclub in the West End of London, protesting at their discriminatory door policy.
Gif no.9 is one of the promoters protesting against the club, not the promoter [who was black African] mentioned by the two women. The discrimination, in London high end clubs, is also against black men, large women and Orthodox Jews. There also seems to be a quota on the number of black women in the clubs.
