i am an enthusiastic, reliable, hard-working individual with 40 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience in Mining, Food processing, and Steam Power Generation.
I have worked as a Maintenance Trainer, Mechanical Supervisor, Asset Planning and Systems Specialist, and Condition Monitoring Tech Specialist & Reliability Superintendent.
Recently I have had four years of experience working online due to a leg injury from a motor vehicle accident, writing: Maintenance Training Packages, Development of Safe Work Procedures, Maintenance PM Instruction, and Reliability QA/QC documentation.

We all face challenges in life there is no getting away from them. But sometimes, these challenges make you take a different course in life. I worked at a processing plant in western NSW as a Vibration Analyst. I survived a life-threatening illness and lost loved ones in the same year. I was not happy in my job and left to start my own Condition Monitoring business. Then my ex-pat career began working at Ok Tedi in Papua New Guinea, which was part of the best working years of my life, where I gained friendships that are still held dearly today. I then worked as a maintenance trainer in Mali, West Africa and later as a reliability supervisor. Then, I moved to Egypt in North Africa in a senior reliability role.
I have put this part of my life into words, and for interest, the story is not all doom and gloom and goes into my ex-pat’s life in training and reliability. Here is my last eBook review “What a fantastic read Robert, congratulations on putting it into words. I couldn't put it down. Having spent some time as an ex-pat working in reliability/maintenance, I could relate to a huge amount of the content.”
We all learn daily at work, but we must also remember that life is a great teacher.
