Rodger Hayes, or Rod/Roddy for short. He’s 75, but dont let his age fool you, he’s continues to be active in his years. Him and Royce get along very well.

Hey Mr. Hayes. Glad you enjoyed Christmas with your family! I was wondering if you could say in what ways are you similar and different than your father as you've grown up

Thanks!, sorry for the late reply my anon, it was certainly an interesting christmas!A very good ask! surprisingly me and my dad were very similar when I was a teen, and he was in his thirties. I definitely had his characteristics because he was one of my role models who I looked up to. Dad was the type of guy to never give up if you failed and would say to learn from the mistakes you make. He certainly is a true auzzie and "one of the lads" at heart, he loved to drink with his buds on Fridays to prepare for an awesome weekend.This one night he brought me out to sit in the outback with his friends, we sat around a warm toasty fire and watched the stars.One someone dared Dad $50 to dive naked into a freezing cold lake... Naked!Needless to say the wolverine was fearless, so he did it.Next thing you see is a this dripping wet grizzled wolverine covered with mud and sand screaming for a towel, which we didn't have!After meeting Rosanne in my twenties and being employed, Dad was in his forties and started acting more mellow and formal (does this sound familiar eh?) I think he was trying to become a better dad and set a good examples for me.I haven't heard from him and mom in a while because they live in australia, but we do like to email each other now and again to play catchup. I'll see if I could ask of a new photo if him to show you, I bet you're interested to see him now!

Is your oldest son Rossi ever had a boyfriend or girlfriend ?

Neither that I know of nor he has told me.Maybe he's keeping it a secret? My boy does not say much.

Do you have any embarrassing stories of your son?

There was this one time where me and him went on a camping trip for some bonding time together, the car journey was around 2 and a half hours which wasn't that bad.The destination was a camping park in a forest acre, huge trees overshadowed the spot while an open view was available to look out onto lake that was only 40 feet away! The place is private but not too hidden as there were similar sites like ours around, connected to a main road.The weather was really hot that day, so I had a window down, shirt open and was playing classic rock and country on the radio to pass the time. Royce didn't talk much, just sat in the back and listened to his own music while playing on a handheld gadget console thingy he brought along.We stopped off at a gas station/grocery store at the end of the trip for some food and drinks for the upcoming night.He told me he wanted to get a slushie because of how hot it was, I dug into my shorts for some pocket change and I said I'd meet him inside after topping up the car.Walking into the store, I saw him talking to the young female cashier who was the same age as him. They were having that "first time" awkward talk that people go through; "Who are you?, where are you from? how long have you been working here?"I picked up a few essentials and some food and headed to the counter to pay. I heard Royce ask the wild dog for her number, so she cheekily scribbled it on his cup with a sharpie.Royce being so excited, a little love-stuck, and clumsy, the slushie slipped out of his hands when she passed it to him, resulting in pouring all over his shirt and pants. Both of them were laughing while saying sorry multiple times, the wild dog said to grab another refill and fill up one for me for free, on the house!I said my thanks to her and paid for my items and walked out with Royce, who was looking a little red in the face, but couldn't stop smiling. He had a sticky stain on his shirt and fur that he had to take a bath in the lake that night.

Whats your new years resolution coach?

Oh! Good question!

1: Balance going to the gym, exercising and eating, while staying the same size!

2: Going on more hikes with friends or family.

3: Spend more time with the Twins and Rossi.

4: Coach/Train Royce again on football for the season.

5: Spend more time outside, Camping

6: Something special for Rosanne every week.

Those are my resolutions that I plan to fufill!

Nope, I’ll try and ask him for a photo of us together sometime, he’s not much of a photo person though,he is usually found painting in his room or reading/studying a book.

Hiya sir! Do you think Royce is a mama's boy or more close to you in regards to interests/hobbies?

Oh, Royce is definitely a momma's boy, oh yes. He can be quite ill-mannered and rude sometimes but deep down I know he's a good kid with a with a caring heart.I was like him when I was younger, well... little less rebellious and rude but yeah. The only hobbies he shares with me is football and hiking, introducing him to new things is pretty tough unless he shows genuine interest.

Mr. Hayes, have the kids been supportive of your recent "gains" and extra winter fluff your carrying around now? Has it made life harder to carry around the extra weight on yourself?

The kids don’t mind at all really, they are used to seeing me with a big shape. I've always been a big guy since university and it just carried on through out the years, I was pretty muscular back then though, but starting a family and focusing on my kids has limited my gym time.

Does the extra pounds make my life harder? Not at all! I’m perfectly fine and comfortable!

Oh man, You know prof. Hysterium!? Have yall had any "after hours" fun?

I do know Professor Hysterium! He tutors both of my Twins. I met him at one of my sons parent-teacher conferences, he invited me out for lunch where I got to know him better, he's a good guy who takes his job seriously.I do come visit him regularly after I finish work, he's usually found in his office, either that or in one of the many classrooms on campus, that ended up me getting lost this one time... grr.I bring a box of donuts for us to eat and we drink some whiskey, chatting endlessly about our day.I also have another story to tell, but that is for another time and place! :-)

What type of swimwear is either your favorite or most comfortable?

Trunks are fine when you want to relax and have fun in the pool, but for actual swimming, have to go with a Speedo or something similar.

Also, there is the vintage bathing suit but I’m not sure if they still make those, maybe I could try one on!

Have/do you and the Mrs. ever smoke weed?

Haha, what a question! With it being legal here, I will admit we’ve tried it at a University party just to see what the fuss is about, but we haven't touched it since.

I’m more of a pipe and cigar guy anyways.
