Image of the Ring Nebula, aka M57, taken with my 10" RC telescope and a diffraction grating. The diffracted stars are all streaks but the diffracted nebula is just two blobs--the blue blob is O-III wavelength and the red blob is H-alpha.

It’s not as good as some of my earlier images of Jupiter but I like it because it shows the Great Red Spot and Red Jr. (aka Oval BA).

Wavelet image sharpening allows one to achieve image resolution twice as good as the Rayleigh criterion would suggest. Here's an example based on a recent image of Jupiter I took with my 3.5" aperture Questar.
