New Dance Class: Lyrical
Lyrical dance is a dance style that blends ballet and jazz dance. Lyrical is generally smoother and a bit faster than ballet, but not quite as fast as jazz. A lyrical dancer uses movement to express strong emotions such as love, joy, and anger.
Lyrical dancers usually perform to music with lyrics...the lyrics of the chosen song serve as inspiration for movements and expressions. Music used for lyrical is typically emotionally charged and expressive. Music may consist of many genres including pop, rock, and hip-hop. Powerful, expressive songs are often used in lyrical dance to give dancers a chance to express a range of strong emotions through their dancing.
Movements in lyrical dance are characterized by fluidity and grace, with the dancer flowing seamlessly from one move to another, holding finishing steps as long as possible. Leaps are exceptionally high and soaring, and turns are fluid and continuous.

New Dance Class: Middle Eastern
Middle Eastern Dance is a type of Belly Dance involving torso articulation. It’s a non-impact, weight-bearing exercise that strengthens the entire spinal column and abdominal muscles in a gentle way making this dance style suitable for all ages.  Middle Eastern Dance takes many different forms depending on the country and region, both in costume and dance style.

Great Beginning!
Our Grand Opening was very successful and we currently have “7” full classes!  223 students dance with Ms. Robin’s school.  Have a friend who would like to have their child dance?  Still openings available in all the categories of dance whether it is with Ms. Robin or Ms. Tiffany.   Last date to sign up for this season – 11/9/15.  Basic Gymnastics will be taught once or twice a month for all the Ballet/Tap classes.  Ms. Robin does have 8 years of experience teaching gymnastics.
