Even restrained, arms pinned tight to his sides when Bruce tears him back, Dick thrashes to get away from them. There's a certain tension that comes with all of Dick and Jason's interactions. It's in the way they fight each other, sharp-tongued and a little mean. Always pushing, challenging, demanding, wanting.

Dick can't say for sure when it started happening or why, just that it's fun. Because with Jason, Dick doesn't have to be nice. And Jason gives as good as he gets.

So between them, it's all pointed taunts and nasty quips. It's banter that's all quick, shallow cuts until one of them can drive the metaphorical knife in.

Dick doesn't know if his smile starts to mirror Jason's—vicious, sharp—or if Dick may have always been this way underneath all his gilding (the responsibilities, the expectations, the burdens). It's there though; there are nights where he gets home and realizes his cheeks ache from it.

They crowd each other often. They get physical even more. Playful shoves and lighthearted roughhousing; games of chase that become something akin to hide-and-seek (because Jason loves being found and because Dick loves the hunt, the pursuit).

It's exhilarating. It's electric. And Dick might love the way Jason's eyes light up when they play dirty together, the way Jason's confidence comes through as they scrap.

Dick loves it all: the grit, the danger, the adrenaline. It's a heady feeling and he's hooked on it. Because at the core of it is a sense of freedom.

With Jason, Dick can be dark and ugly. Jason loves him in spite of that or because of it. It's human; warm and wild and wonderful.

All of that just to say that the first time they kiss, Dick would assume Jason is experienced because of all his devastating allure and appeal. So when Dick kisses him, he keeps the status quo. There's nothing nice or soft about it; it's hot and heavy and familiar in its roughness.

Only Jason isn't experienced at all. This is his first kiss.

So when Dick slips him some tongue, Jason immediately flusters and holds Dick back. And Dick is •𐃷• ?? while Jason blushes like the maiden he is just (𖦹/////𖦹 " ) !!! all flushed cheeks and doe eyes, hiding kiss-bruised lips behind his hands and trying to catch his breath and ahhhhhhh.

Sasuke got his second chance to kill Naruto but he bent his fingers, so he wouldn’t stab through Naruto. It would have been easy to kill Naruto when he was knocked unconscious, but he was not that kind of a person. It was never going to change the fact that Naruto was still his extremely closest friend. Well, this is a callback to Vote1, when he used the same words, because killing his closest friend was the only way to easily obtain the 'Mangekyo Sharingan'. Now he uses it again, but not for power, but to seal himself completely in darkness, by killing his only light.

In this panel his choice of words referring to Naruto change from 'mottomo shitashī' to 'yuītsu'.

I get so offended thinking about the Naruto ending because the whole show is 1000+ episodes of Naruto fighting the whole world to bring Sasuke back, and then you tell me they both end up with women?? bro was gripping the sheets and wishing on a shooting star to have him back. this man cried and panicked over him multiple times. he literally hallucinated him NAKED in the BATH with him!! they canonically kiss twice and Sasuke even says “why do I always end up kissing you.” and when Sasuke says he’s not coming back, Naruto says that he’d rather die than stop trying. there is no hetero explanation for this.

I’m Japanese but in the Japanese fandom, actually there are a lot of 2chan(the jp ver of 4chan basically) threads discussing about the possibility of Naruto being homosexual, and actually I’ve seen a good portion of people admitting it even when the basic demographic of 2chan are extremely homophobic. In the Japanese fandom, for alot of ppl the last straw to make them think he’s homosexual is that one scene in chapter 175 where Sasuke and Naruto are about to fight in the roof top and Naruto expressed his excitement. I forgot the official English translation, but in Japanese Naruto says “何だこの気持ち…下腹の辺りがキュンとする…” which directly means “What is this feeling….my lower stomach feels tight/feels butterflies…” Idk how this sounds in other countries, but in Japan this expression is generally used by females who are sexually turned on and therefore feels their uterus going tight because of that. So many people in the Japanese fandom were shocked when they first read this line including me, cause it literally means he’s being sexually excited in a VERY non-hetero way. In the middle of his thoughts Naruto also remembers when Sasuke tells him he’s interested in fighting him, where Naruto reacted “ドキ”(aka “doki”). So yeah I lot of people just agreed that there was no heterosexual explanation for this scene, I still can’t believe Kishi decided to use this expression😭

I can't believe the editors decided to publish that 😭 Kishimoto has often linked fighting/getting stronger with feelings of excitement for both Naruto and Sasuke so it's definitely a running theme for them. The last straw being chapter 175/700 is so funny.
