I feel like part of the fun of kiibo is like hinata is an ultimate hope thanks the the kamukura project and makoto peps the people around him up and keeps them moving, but kiibo takes direct action himself and moves for the most optimistic/'best' option every time

and part of what I love about v3 and part of the appeal to me to characters like kiibo or momota in that game specifically is the subversions the game gives of like kaito is really optimistic and always believes in the best in people and thinks you just have to believe in each other and then everything will turn out okay which seems great on paper but is a disaster in practice during the events of the kg and actively makes things way more dangerous for everyone engaging with him on it and kiibo embodies the idea of just being 'good' best with his immediate leap to sacrifice himself for the others, using his dying words to beg them to use him to save themselves, believing that all they have to do is hope and eventually the killing game will end etc when that's another 'goodness doesn't mean the smartest or best option' answer because if they went with what he wanted countless other people would just keep hecking dying but it sure sounds nice in theory

                 He’d always prided himself on being more mature than a decent number of his peers. In terms of build date he was still quite young; despite being mentally and physically on par with any other young adult K1-B0 himself had only been operational for a couple of years, and thus lacked a decent chunk of the life experience that most of his fellow classmates had. He tried his best to fit in, but he still made blunders that most of them would never think to make owed to the social prowess that years of living life had granted them. He had to do his best to try not to make a fool of himself, or to say anything embarrassing. Television, anime and manga could at least serve as a decent proxy for him to understand what was and wasn’t appropriate to say.

                 Mentioning that what he really wanted for the future was a simple, domestic life in a sort of ‘housewife’ role would be embarrassing. He’d seen enough sitcoms and read enough comics to know that it was far from a ‘cool’ answer --- that he ought to say he wanted to be an astronaut or a racecar driver or a pilot instead, or that he wanted to pursue his robo-business career ideas further in becoming a full-time android pop star. Calling his father his biggest comfort was far from ‘cool’, too. Both responses would point to immaturity and a level of naïvety that he fought constantly to dissuade others from believing him capable of.

                 So he cleared his throat, puffed out his chest and spoke with all the confidence of a freshman attempting to show off to an upperclassman despite being a full ‘grown’ robot.

                 "---I plan on asking the Professor about altering my consciousness files to help me stand out more in the future. He can program some tragic backstory into me, and then I can serve as some rugged action-type hero!! I have no idea what my comforts would be, but I imagine they would be equally rugged.                  The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the light that came dappled down through the leaves was tinted a delightful shade of green and K1-B0, in a typical earnest display of wanting to copy a truly ‘human’ experience, had settled down beneath the shade of a broad oak tree atop a plaid blanket that had been spread out to cushion his seat on the ground. Beside him was a wicker picnic basket filled to bursting with far too many sandwiches for any one person to every eat, but beyond that he was being met with an issue that he hadn’t bothered considering ahead of time --- namely that he’d been so enraptured by the process of creating a picturesque picnic scene in the late-spring weather that he’d neglected to remember that he was a robot, and that robots could not eat.

                 So he was stuck with a bunch of sandwiches.

                 Time to awkwardly pat the corner of one against his cheek to pretend he was eating, he guessed.
