And another one, because I'm obsessed, and because for some mysterious reason carving with shaking hands is way easier than drawing. Carved shell, moss and resin, sea glass and pearls for a necklace.

Floral patterns, much loved during the Victorian years, are scattered throughout this room.

Reflections - May 2011 If the first image seems somehow… off, the second image, which is just the first one turned upside down, makes it clear that this is a reflection image on the waters of the Upper Iowa River at Kendallville. MWM

"After receiving a tip about a family of Burrowing Owls on the eastern edge of Cheyenne, a photographer rushed to the location in late June. The owlets seemed nearly ready to leave their burrows. Over the years, the photographer has perfected a method using a GoPro on a small tripod, set to take a photo every 5 seconds. They leave the camera behind, allowing the owls to feel comfortable. The challenge lies in the long wait to see if the effort pays off. This shot was taken on June 28th."

My favorite genre of self-portrait is cartoonists being bothered by their characters while trying to draw

Bill Watterson – Calvin and Hobbes (1986)

Hergé – Tintin (1947, Tintin Magazine)
Albert Uderzo – Asterix (the cover of Uderzo l'Irreductible (2018), but originally much older)

Jeff Smith – Bone (1993, Bone Holiday Special)

Walt Kelly – Pogo (1950, Maclean's Magazine)
And a bonus:

Berkeley Breathed – Bloom County
