In my mind the valve lips are actually where the tubes for transfluid go, so a bot having bigger valve lips is considered attractive because it means they produce lots of transfluid. There’s plenty of ways for a bot to make them bigger if the set they’ve got is a little lacklustre (or not, if they’re into that)

The popular way is to clip a small chain with a weight at the end to each lip (maybe multiple depending on the bot) and letting it stretch the protoform downwards as it fills with transfluid until it retains that additional capacity, for the best effect the bot should be continuously edged in order to stimulate the production of fluids

Another way is for the tubes to be held down with magnets at the very top and have the bot overload a few time to trick their systems into producing more transfluid and stretching out the protoform on its own. This method is considered more extreme as it can cause an uncomfortable ache but feels great when those magnets are released, it also has the added benefit that it can be done under panels
