Miri had chosen the song, because of course she had. And yet, she was still struggling to beat up Rei when it came to getting a higher score than him. Not surprising, as Kazuki had never met anyone as invincible in video games as that man.

To be honest, he would have never guessed Rei could be into dancing games, but at some point since their now daughter had entered their lives, those games had become a way to mix both bonding and workout time.

And boy, was Kazuki enjoying it.

He liked actually playing too, of course, but he usually rather watch. Because then he was free to pay attention to the music, Miri’s cute giggles… and yes, Rei’s moves.

“I know you’re staring.” Speaking about which, he had been caught once again. Not surprising either, since he hadn’t even tried to hide it. Not really.

Rei wasn’t the first man he had laid his eyes on, nor the first person by that matter, and having been living together for quite some time did wonders in guaranteeing Kazuki was sure about his feelings at that point.

So maybe, just maybe, it was simply a matter of letting things flow.

“Is that a problem, huh? Am I being distracting?” Flow with a bit of help, obviously; despite knowing each other a lot, he didn’t count on him reading his mind.

“Nah, only a coward.” Rei answered, and those words almost drowned in Miri’s roaring laughter. “Y'know, for turning down our challenge.”

Alright, maybe he could put a pause to watching and join.

“Does that mean I may have this dance, honey?”

Could you be an angel?

Dazai Osamu was one of a kind, in quite the range of ways. He was gorgeous, and could kill that image by opening his mouth totally on purpose. He was the bane of Kunikida’s existence, and also stupidly alluring. He was nothing like his ideal spouse should be, and yet he had managed to sneak into his heart and was staying there of course without paying rent.

He was both a blessing and a nightmare, and despite everything… he was also sleeping right beside him, so peacefully that a candid soul who didn’t know him might think Dazai could even be innocent.

Not him, though. And the fact Kunikida had still fallen, the fact they were like that right then… was still something he struggled to grasp.

Besides, trying to make sense of it would only result in a headache, and there were things to do, so he motioned to get out of bed instead…

“Nooo.” … and was stopped by two bandaged arms latching onto him for dear life, as if he would be parting to war and not just the kitchen. “Aw, c’mon, it’s Sunday.”

“And breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” Still, he didn’t move a muscle.

“Yeah, but there’s no rule about when to–” His stare must have been almost murderous, because Dazai himself retaliated, at least in order to indulge him. “Alright, but let’s have at least five more minutes.”

That could work.

honestly i feel like shb is the expansion of love? and not even like, romantic love.

it's love for your fellow man, love that corrupts, love that redeems, love that helps you stay the course even when your resolve is shaken. the wol, the scions, ardbert, emet-selch, the exarch, elidibus... all of their actions motivated by a sense of love for something and i think that's really cool.
