This play explores the feeling of being stuck in a binary through Cat and No Good Dog, two beings who are fatefully entwined in what seems an endless cycle of leaving and returning to each other.

Dear Charlie,

We miss you very much. Rocky and I have been driving to the foot of the mountain more these days. It’s a long trip but Rocky has been growing strawberries in her garden so we get to snack on them on the way. She doesn’t like going to the water tower anymore but we get close enough and then look over the town.

School is fine. Morris is really helping me set up things with support lab. I showed him my plan for the perfect computer and he was excited and he said he could bring some materials that he had in his garage. So we’re gonna be starting that next week I think, he told me to make a more specific drawing of what I want the computer to do so Rocky is going to help me make it better. 

There’s also a kid who’s been coming to support lab the past two weeks. He’s new to town and he doesn’t speak much but he works on these loooong papers that have math equations and sometimes he asks me about if sentences sound correct. He seems nice and I’m excited that he’s coming in, I hope he stays around for a while.

Anyways, how are you? How is it with Francoise? I hope we can see you soon or you want to come hang out at Rocky’s house. I think Johnny is coming back next week for a few days, maybe you could come too? Mom misses you too.
