I need to know how they chose George and Charles for that movie podium... is it integral to the plot? were they just the only ones to say yes? did they have to be bribed? will they get their own IMDB pages now?

I’m probably just being stupid or over sensitive or whatever, but I’ve been getting so upset at the moment of the public perception of George?

Not talking about the actual negative opinions here, not that I don’t hate those the most, but the general consensus that he’s just one big silly meme and,,,, that’s it?

Like. He is! He’s so silly and creates some of the best memes on the grid, whether or not it’s intended, but he’s been talked about more and more at the moment mainly just for that? I love him for his funny George-isms and funky little language choices and dorky faces, but I also love him for being a fierce fucking driver and a damn good racer. Because his brain is scarily, beautifully intelligent and quick thinking. Because he’s a fucking sweetheart and such a gem. I just get sad thinking about how he’s seen as a joke to so many people, when he’s actually so fucking incredible.

When he changed his hair too, people started paying more attention and like. This is such a stupid nit pick I know but for gods sake he’s always been gorgeous and noteable not just when he’s T posting in an intro and breaking away from his hair gel.

Maybe because he’s my heart driver, because I supported him even before I knew what f1 really was when he was driving for merc in bahrain 2020 two years before I became a fan and I was yelling at the team for mucking up his chance, and because he was my first favourite, because my first race I watched it was him on pole and because Brazil 22 was one of the best fucking days of my life recently.

I dunno. Just. A little rant I’ve been holding in and floating around in my brain for a while now. I wanted to say it because it’s been driving me so nuts.

This isn’t a weird gatekeeping post on How to Like Driver Properly, but I’m sick of it feeling like people only laugh at him. (maybe that’s just my own traumas)

He deserves more appreciation, more respect more recognition, I’ve always thought that.

(Hopefully this isn’t cringe or fucking whatever but I also don’t care?? 😭)
