He's trying to find his words, which is a RARE occurrence. Yet, this time the Templar finds himself utterly speechless.

After a moment of trying to put together a coherent sentence in his mind, Shay finally blurts out.

what was heard was the sound of a godly fist turning the boulder into dust. at the very least there won't be any accidents come the mountain because he kept destroying everything like the boulders and dangerous set ups.

The shock of seeing a former friend, a brother, quickly turns into anger. While this confrontation was expected, meeting him now in such circumstances after so many years, hurts deeply. This isn't just a friendly reunion and he knows it. One of them is destined to fall today.

'' You follow Achilles. '' He snarls. It is not a statement but an accusation. He had hoped that Klaus would understand his motivations for doing all this, but his drawn blade is enough to prove that his loyalty still lies with the Assassins. The enemy.

Shay grits his teeth. the realization doesn't make the burden any easier. He and Klaus have been close, he was a brother, but his loyalty now lies with the Templars. He can't and won't let his feelings get in the way.

This is not just a mission—

Footsteps are light, almost nonexistent as he treads in, follows a shadow of a former friend— are they already enemies? There is a part of him that can’t succumb to it; maybe, just maybe, there is still HOPE there. Everything in him prays this is not them, this is not—-

There it is, the disappointment weighing on his word, on their name. The assassins were right: this man is not going back, not even halting for their former foes. He has thought the realization would lift weight off his chest, but it only adds more, almost SUFFOCATING. He is assigned this mission not to win; how would they expect him to win against the person he has learned most of what he knows from? They just wanted him to see before his eyes, to realize the truth and finally accept it for what it is: Shay Cormac is a traitor.

His weapon is ready, a hesitant warning between former friends— brothers. ❝ The fuck are you doing? ❞ A question that is deeper than what one would decipher it to be. What are they both doing? ❝ You can still stop.. ❞ He would have their back, like they have always had his. ❝ You have to stop! ❞ The weight of their actions is too heavy on his chest, the feeling of BETRAYAL is unbearable.

The fact that Shay isn’t the only person that chose to leave the Colonial brotherhood will never NOT be funny to me.

How do I know that? There are missions where you have to stop the Assassins from Assassinating their targets, and most of them are either agents that used to work for them or former Assassins ( ex. Michael Crawley ) , and this alone proves how badly Achilles brotherhood operated.
