AC Repair Mesa
Tumblr media
You have a problem with your HVAC system, and now you need to call an ac repair company in Mesa. In this article, we'll explain what happens when you call an HVAC technician and what to expect from them.
How Does an AC Work?
An air conditioner cools the air by removing heat from inside your home. It's a self-contained machine that contains all of these parts:
The compressor is the heart of an AC unit. This machine compresses refrigerant gas, which draws in heat and converts it into liquid form. The compressor then moves the hot liquid through an expansion valve to reduce its pressure, creating a low-pressure zone that allows it to evaporate into a gas again.
The condenser fan blows cool air into your home through vents in walls or ceiling ductwork as the vaporized refrigerant passes through coils mounted outside on walls or roofs to lose its heat before returning to liquid form in another part of the system called an expansion device (usually referred to as an "expansion valve").
4 AC Problems You Can Fix Yourself
Tumblr media
Ac repair Mesa has four common AC problems that you can fix yourself. Here's a step-by-step guide to each:
Clogged drain line. If your air conditioner isn't cooling properly and water is backing up in the overflow pan, your condensate drain may be clogged. To clear it out, turn off the power to the unit and unplug all of its components before removing any panels or covers on your condenser coil to expose it completely. From there, flush out any debris with a garden hose or vacuum cleaner while testing for any leaks in the system by applying soapy water around certain areas of concern (most commonly at joints). You should also check if there are any cracks or holes in pipes leading from the unit itself back into the house; these will need to be repaired by calling a professional technician before reconnecting everything together again according
to the manufacturer's instructions before restarting the operation
Why is My Air Conditioner Not Blowing Cold Air?
If the air conditioner is not blowing cold air, there are several things that could be wrong. The first thing to look at is the thermostat. Is it set on cool? Next, you can check the compressor by listening closely (you may need to put your ear right next to it) and feeling around with your hand. If it feels warm or hot, there’s something wrong with the compressor and it should be replaced as soon as possible. Next up: condenser! Get out there and take a peek at this too—does it feel like everything else in working order? If so, move on! Finally we come to evaporator coils—these are what actually ventilate indoor air through our ductwork into our homes and make them nice and cool; if these aren’t functioning properly then your home won't be either! To troubleshoot this issue further once you've confirmed all other components appear operational on their own merits (or lack thereof), start by checking any electrical wiring for signs of damage or wear over time due to excessive heat exposure over time during repeated operation cycles under constant stress conditions where temperatures fluctuate wildly from one extreme end of the scale where temperatures rise above 100 degrees Fahrenheit regularly throughout day-to-day operation cycles resulting in repeated thermal expansion/contraction cycles occurring within each component unit itself causing undue strain upon materials used during construction process--which leads us back full circle again back towards initial steps taken earlier when looking at potential causes behind why there might have been issues with wiring connections between different parts within the system...
Warning Signs that it's Time for A/C Repair
Tumblr media
When your air conditioner is not cooling, this is usually the first sign that something is wrong. If your AC unit does not have enough refrigerant in it, then it won't be able to do its job of cooling down your home. This can occur at any time during the season, but it's most common during summer when high temperatures make a strong demand on your system.
What to Expect During Your A/C Service Call
When you call for A/C service, the technician will ask you a few questions about your system and schedule an appointment. During the visit, they'll examine the condenser, evaporator coil, air filters and other components of your HVAC system to find any problems that may be causing your unit to work inefficiently or not at all. They'll also clean and inspect everything inside your home's ductwork in order to improve airflow throughout it.
Learn what to expect when calling an ac repair company
If you need AC repair in Mesa, it's important to know what to expect when calling a professional.
When you call an air conditioning repair company, they will have certain standard procedures that they will follow. Some of these may include:
Performing an inspection of your unit and making sure it is working properly
Cleaning out the inside and outside coils of your system
Checking the temperature inside and outside your home
Checking for leaks or water damage

The service is also really good here; our waiter was very friendly and helpful in assisting us with ordering our meals. The interior has an atmosphere that feels like you are eating in your own home—it isn’t too fancy or modern but still does it have a nice feel about it with its wooden tables and chairs, colorful walls and decorations on the wall that give off an overall cozy feeling (especially if you sit near one of those big windows). Their signature dish is the "Bacon Crack," which consists of house-cured bacon with fresh avocado, red onion, cilantro and lime served on top of crispy wonton chips. If you're not into that, they also have burgers made fresh daily with all-natural ingredients that are sourced locally whenever possible!

AC Replacement: A Straightforward Guide
We are the air conditioning repair and replacement experts at Rogers Heating & Cooling. Our technicians are trained, certified, and experienced and are on call 24/7 to help you with all your AC needs. If you're looking for a straightforward guide to AC replacement, you've found it. This article will help you figure out whether it's time to switch out your air conditioner or furnace, how much new equipment will cost, and more.
Tumblr media
How big should my AC be?
The size of your air conditioner is determined by the square footage of your home. The more square footage you have, the more energy you will use and, therefore, the larger an AC unit you will need to run smoothly. In general, a smaller home should have a smaller AC unit than a larger one. The size of your air conditioner can also affect its efficiency; if it's too small for your home it won't cool as well or as evenly as a larger unit would.
What does it look like when you need to buy a new air conditioner?
The first thing to do is to check the age of your air conditioner. You can do this by looking at the serial number on it. If it's older than 10 years, you may be in need of a replacement.
If you're not sure whether or not your air conditioner needs replacing, there are a couple of quick and easy tests that can help you figure it out:
Check the efficiency rating of your current unit by looking at its energy rating label (usually found on the back). If this number isn't A-rated or higher then you should consider getting a new model ASAP!
Measure how much space your home's current AC unit takes up in comparison with newer models available today — especially if yours is one from decades ago!
Should I switch from oil heating to natural gas or electric?
Switching from oil heating to natural gas or electric can be a good choice if you live in the right place and have the right home. It’s important to think about how much it will cost and how much of an impact it will have on your home value before going through with the switch.
In general, oil heating is more efficient than natural gas or electric heat, but less efficient than propane.
Should I replace my heater and air conditioner at the same time?
One question that often arises is whether or not it makes sense to replace a heater and air conditioner at the same time. In some cases, this can be an expensive endeavor. However, there are several reasons why you may wish to consider doing both at once if you have the budget for it.
First of all, you will save money on installation costs because you won't have to pay for two separate installations—you'll just need one contractor who has experience handling both kinds of equipment. In addition:
You will have fewer days without heat or cooling during the transition from one system to another; this way, your family won't have to go through such an uncomfortable period before your new AC replacement starts working properly again.* Any leaks that might develop in either system will be easier (and cheaper) for contractors to detect if they are looking at both units together rather than separately.* If there are problems with either unit while they're being removed or replaced, they'll be less likely spread quickly throughout other parts of your house because both systems will be under construction simultaneously
Do I have to replace my furnace if I get a new air conditioning system?
When it comes to heating and cooling, there are two main types of systems: gas-fired furnaces and electric-powered air conditioners.
If you're replacing your air conditioner with a new or newer model, then you don't need to replace your furnace at the same time. The reverse is also true—if you're replacing your furnace with a newer model, then it's best not to replace your air conditioning system at the same time.
However, if both are ready for an upgrade at the same time (which happens from time to time), then it's usually better to do both together so that everything stays consistent throughout their lifespan.
Can I use my existing ductwork with a new high-efficiency HVAC system?
Yes, you can use your existing ductwork with a new high-efficiency HVAC system. However, you may need to replace some or all of it if the ducts are damaged or in poor condition.
Tumblr media
Before replacing the air conditioning system in your home, have your HVAC professional look at it first to see if there’s anything wrong with the existing duct system. There are many factors that affect how well an HVAC system will work—including duct design and layout—and they vary from one house to another. If there is something wrong with your current setup, then it would be wise for you to hire an expert who knows how things work in order for them to diagnose any problems with your current setup before making any changes that could lead back into more issues down the road!
We are the AC replacement experts at Rogers Heating & Cooling. Our technicians are trained, certified, and experienced and are on call 24/7 to help you with all your AC needs.
We offer full service AC repair, replacement and installation of your central air conditioning and heating systems.

An Overview of the Most Common AC Replacement Parts in Mesa Arizona
Tumblr media
AC units are some of the most important parts of your home in Mesa, Arizona. They keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. But they also need to be maintained and sometimes some parts need to be replaced. In this article, we will discuss five common AC
replacement parts that you might need when it comes to replacing your air conditioner: condensers, fuses, packaged AC units, refrigerant/freon, and blower units.
Condensers
A condenser is an outdoor unit, so it's outside your home. The condenser contains copper and aluminum, which are both very conductive metals. The metal fins help the heat transfer from inside of the system to outside, where it gets cooled with refrigerant and then circulated throughout your home for distribution.
Condensers can be cleaned with a garden hose or pressure washer if they become dirty from dirt and debris that has collected on their exterior surfaces over time.
Fuses
Fuses are used to protect the electrical system. They can be purchased at hardware stores, and are usually located near the electrical panel or fuse box in your home. Fuses are designed to protect against overload, short circuits, ground faults, and other problems that could damage your system or make it unsafe to operate.
Fuses typically look like small glass tubes with metal ends on each end of the tube; these metal ends will blow out when they reach their maximum capacity. You can tell if your fuse has blown because it will no longer have any resistance when you try to turn it on (if there is no resistance then there is no current running through your circuit).
Packaged AC Units
A packaged AC unit is a complete single unit that includes the compressor, condenser, evaporator, and other parts. This makes it easier to install than a split system.
Packaged units are great for any space with an unobstructed window because they can be installed in a variety of ways (upright or horizontal).
These types of systems cost more than split systems but less than ductless units as they have fewer components.
A Refrigerant or Freon
Refrigerant is a chemical used in air conditioners to cool the air. When the refrigerant leaks or loses its pressure, it can cause a variety of problems with your AC. For example, if there's not enough refrigerant in your unit, it won't be able to cool your home effectively. The same thing happens if there's too much refrigerant; this will cause overcooling and can lead to mold growth inside your vents and coils.
It's also important that you don't try to add more freon yourself if it's low—or replace any parts yourself (including compressors). In fact, many Arizona homeowners are surprised when they find out that repairs aren't covered by their homeowner's insurance policies because they're considered a maintenance expense rather than an emergency repair like water damage caused by flooding due to storm damage or burst pipes, etc...
Blower units
Blower units are the most common replacement part for air conditioners in Mesa, Arizona. Blower units are responsible for moving air through your AC unit and into your home or office. If a blower unit is broken, it will not work properly and the AC will not cool your property effectively. Blower units can be very expensive to replace, so if you are not experienced with electrical work, we recommend hiring a professional to fix it for you.
Tumblr media
A good alternative option is to buy an aftermarket blower motor that fits into the existing housing of your old motor. This can save money since it doesn't require any cutting or drilling of your old ductwork systems and also allows you more control over how much power goes into each fan blade as opposed to just getting another exact replacement part from a local hardware store which may have different specs than what was originally installed by your installer/builder at installation time (such as voltage requirements).
We hope that we’ve given you a better idea of what to look for when it comes time to replace your AC unit. If your unit isn’t working as efficiently or effectively as it should be, then it may be time to consider replacing some parts.

HVAC Troubleshooting Tips for Homeowners
Introduction
When your air conditioner stops cooling your home, you may be tempted to call the HVAC company right away. However, there are some simple things you can do to determine if the problem is a simple fix. If your AC system is not working properly or it isn't cooling your house at all, here are some tips for determining what is wrong with your unit:
Tumblr media
Examine your air ducts.
Check for leaks.
Check for blockages.
Check for damage.
Check for dirt or debris (including leaves and animal nests).
Listen for the sounds of the air conditioner shutting off and on.
If your air conditioner is shutting off and on, it is likely not getting enough airflow. Listen for sounds of the unit shutting off and on. If you hear this happening, check to make sure that your filter is clean, as well as any other areas where there could be a clog or blockage in the ductwork.
Inspect the thermostat to make sure it is working properly.
The first thing to check is the thermostat. Make sure it’s set to cool or heat, and that it isn’t turned off (the switch should be in the on position). It’s also important to check that the temperature is set correctly and not in vacation mode, which just turns off your AC or heat but doesn't change how long your system runs or how often.
Check the cooling coils.
If your air conditioner is blowing out warm air, it could be a sign that the coils are dirty. This can happen if your system is located in an area with high traffic and/or pets. The dirt, rust, and debris that gets drawn into the unit will build up on the coils over time and cause them to malfunction.
To check for this issue:
Look at the cooling coils for dirt, rust, and debris
Check that there aren't any gaps between them (this could cause air to leak)
Make sure they're not damaged or worn out from age or use
Check that none of the fins have been damaged in any way
Look at the evaporator drain line.
Did you know that the evaporator drain line, which drains liquid from your air conditioner or heat pump, is a big part of how it works? The evaporator drain line can either be a hose coming out of the bottom of the unit or it could be a pipe that runs down through your house.
If this line isn't working properly, water may back up into your system and cause mold to grow in there. You can fix this yourself by using a screwdriver and pliers to loosen up any clogs that are in place. If you think there is something wrong with your evaporator drain line, give us (Rogers Heating And Cooling) a call today!
Take a look at the outside unit of your AC system.
To troubleshoot an air conditioner, you first need to take a look at the outside unit of your AC system. Check for dirt and debris around the unit, making sure that it's level with the ground. Make sure there aren't any loose connections on the power cord or gas line that can be easily remedied by tightening them up. Look for any leaks or cracks in pipes or hoses leading into and out of the compressor—this will let you know if there's a problem with your compressor itself that may need professional help resolving.
If you are handy, there are some HVAC repair jobs you can fix yourself.
If you are handy, there are some HVAC repair jobs you can fix yourself. However, it's important to know what is involved in each job and whether or not it's something that can be done safely and effectively by a homeowner—it may be best to leave some tasks to the professionals.
For example, replacing the blower motor can be a relatively simple task with minimal risk if the unit is properly vented and grounded. In this case, it's probably better for an experienced technician to complete this repair because of the obvious safety hazards associated with working around high-voltage components connected directly to 120-volt power lines. Another common service call is fixing clogged evaporator coils in an air conditioning system; this job involves climbing up into an attic space (a potentially hazardous environment), poking around inside a ductwork system (which also poses risks), removing insulation from pipes carrying coolant and refrigerant gases without causing any leaks or other damage (again: very dangerous!), then applying suction cups on either end of the clog so that it can be pulled out through its narrowest point—usually from within a wall cavity behind insulation panels on one side or another depending on where exactly those tubes terminate inside your home's structure! While some people may be able-bodied enough for such tasks themselves (if they're careful), getting someone else who knows exactly what they're doing about these sorts of projects saves time as well as money since many times people don't realize how complicated these things can get until after starting work only then realizing how difficult certain aspects might turn out being."
Conclusion
HVAC can be a very complex system that requires precise measurements and maintenance. If you are not sure what is wrong with your air conditioning unit, it might be better to call in a technician rather than try to fix it yourself. However, there are some simple tasks you can do if you have some mechanical knowledge like checking the thermostat or inspecting the drain line.

How Often Should I Replace My Air Filters?
Introduction
If you're an air-filter expert or an air-filter novice, it can be difficult to keep track of how often you should replace your filters. We've compiled a list of things that can help you remember when it's time to change out your filters and what kind of filter is best for your home.
Tumblr media
We recommend replacing your air filters every three months.
We recommend replacing your air filters every three months. Air filters are important for the health of your family, and they need to be replaced regularly in order to keep the air in your home clean. You should replace them at the same time you change your seasonal wardrobe so that you don’t forget!
Remember: Filters also need to be replaced on humidifiers and dehumidifiers, as well as air purifiers!
The right air filter depends on your unit and your needs.
There are many different types of air filters, and not every unit requires the same type. Your needs will determine which model you choose. For example, if you have young children in your household who suffer from allergies or asthma, your best bet is to get a finer filter that is more likely to capture allergens before they can get into the air.
To find out what kind of filter you need for your particular HVAC system and environment, consult the user manual that came with it or contact the manufacturer directly (or ask an HVAC specialist if necessary).
A good way to remember when to replace your filters is to do it at the same time you switch out your seasonal wardrobe.
A good way to remember when to replace your filters is to do it at the same time you switch out your seasonal wardrobe. That way, when you change out your air filter, you'll also be reminded of changing out your clothes.
If you're like me and forgetful, you can set a calendar reminder or use an app that reminds you of things on a certain day of the month.
Don't forget to replace the filters in your humidifier, dehumidifier, and air purifiers.
You can also get a lot of use out of your humidifier without ever having to replace its filter. However, if you want to keep it working at peak efficiency, then you need to clean and change the filter regularly.
If you have a dehumidifier or air purifier in your home, then replacing the filters is just as important as changing those in your furnace and air conditioner. While they don't work on the same principle as other types of filters (they actually catch dust), they still become clogged over time. If you forget about these filters completely and let them sit for too long, then performance will suffer greatly because airflow will be restricted through all three models mentioned above—and there's no way around this problem!
Replace your air filters every three months for healthier air.
Air filters are designed to keep the air in your home clean. They do this by collecting dust, dander, and other airborne particles that can irritate allergies or cause illness. By removing these substances from the air, you help create a healthier environment for everyone in your home.
Air filters should be replaced every three months for optimal effectiveness and efficiency. If you have pets or smoke in your home, it’s recommended that you change them more frequently so they can continue to function at their best level.
When changing an air filter:
Make sure all lights are turned off before disconnecting or replacing an old filter (this will prevent electrical shock). To remove an old filter: 1) Unplug the unit; 2) Open the access panel; 3) Carefully pull out the old filter; 4) Clean the metal mesh screen before installing a new one (this will ensure proper flow-through ventilation system). To change the direction of airflow when using multiple filters: 1) Rotate the damper plate 180° before re-installing the new one (this allows airflow through both sides).
Conclusion
It's important to remember that you can't keep your home clean without the right filters. Replacement filters need to be changed as often as possible, and we recommend every three months. You may also want to consider purchasing a system with an A-rated filter that lasts longer than three months at a time.
