"SINIGANG"

The short story Sinigang is written in 2001 by Marby Villaceran that narrates how Liza, the main character, deals with the issue of her father who had an extramarital affair with Sylvia, and consequently had a son, Lem.

The moral values that i got from the story "Sinigang" and it's impact to me as 21st learner.

FORGIVE and FORGET

We all make mistakes that can hurt someone. It is hard to let go of those who hurt us, especially when it comes to our family and friends. However, it is also important to learn how to forgive. This will allow us to move on and grow as a person.

BE FAITHFUL

Being faithful to one person and choosing to be faithful at all times make the relationship stronger. As shown in the story, cheating and betrayal have led to major changes in their family and hurt a lot of people.We have a choice to do what we want with our lives. If we want to be with someone for the rest of our lives, then make sure that we are committed to them. However, if we are not ready to commit to someone yet, then don’t do it. Doing so can lead to unpleasant situations such as cheating on your partner and ruining your family.

IMPACT OF THE STORY TO ME AS A 21ST CENTURY LEARNER

The short story "Sinigang" has made a huge impact on me as it taught me that life is full of obstacles and that we all have different family backgrounds. However, regardless of our situation, we should still be able to look at ourselves as worthy.
