Rohan noticed their fingers grazing each other when the both reach for the door. Rohan was raised to be a gentle man, open the door for others. He also notice her pull her hand back, he gave her a warm smile and looked at her. When closed the door after she got into the passenger's seat. Opening the back door for Ace and closing it when Ace got in and was secured. Rogan did not notice the feeling at the moment, his focus getting Veronica home safely. He got into the car, put on his seat belt before starting the car. "All set?" he asked his voice so very soft and warm. A bit warmer than what it was when they were in the bar. @veronica--bentley

The brunette followed wordlessly, staying silent other than a murmur of affection as Ace padded on between her and Rohan. As they reached the car and she heard the lock click open, Veronica moved to open her door at the same time as her companion reached in to do the same. Fingers grazing each other's for a moment, a new heat flooded her system, radiating up from her hand. Pulling back swiftly, the younger Bentley allowed him to finish pulling the passenger's side door open and moved into the seat as quickly as possible with no particular eye contact. As she buckled herself in the heat continued to linger, tingling along her arm.

Sometimes Rohan was thankful for his past jobs because he it had taught him how to stay calm under pressure, and how to breath. Plus, he had been involved and helped out with disasters rescue. The detective had the day off and so decided to spend it helping out as much as he could. He had spent most of the morning making meals and Ace being an amazing service animals did help some of the kids and sat down with them, calming them down. He had grab two bottle of water, one for himself and the extra for the other.

"Here you go," he spoke after walking toward them as he handed it to him. "I thought that we could both use it."

Rohan was feeling restless, it was his day off and he had no plans and gotten a lot of his errands and cleaning done yesterday. So he decided to go for a morning hike which always helped him on days like this when he woke up restless and he needed to just burn some energy and to clear his head. Rohan could tell that Ace was excited for the hike and smiled looking at the dog as the walked. Ace extra close to him during his hike. He stopped when he saw and heard Ethan's voice. "Hey Ethan," he spoke with a smile. "Nope, just me thankfully. How are you doing?" @ethanxhoffmann

Ethan had Nala by his side and took an early morning hike. He'd made breakfast for Makayla and the kids, but wanted them all to sleep in until they were ready to get up. With the new baby in the house, he didn't want their dog to feel like she was being neglected and took her out to spend some time with her. Ethan was stopped, letting her drink some water when he heard a twig snap underneath someone's foot. His head lifted and he spotted a familiar face, "Rohan," he breathed, almost a sigh of relief that it was someone he knew already. "I thought I would be the only crazy person out here this early."

"One of the many reasons you are one of my favorite people. I knew I could trust in you and my secrets would be safe," he spoke with a smile and a small wink before chuckling softly. He enjoyed Luciana's company and he thought she was amazing. He was happy for her and his best friend. "That's good. Honestly, I do enjoy spoiling the kiddos and I know my brother and Owen will do the same if I ever have kids." he added before shrugging his shoulders for a moment.

Rohan smiled as she walked over to Gabby and picked her up. He walked toward them, "Hello little one," he smiled brightly. @lucianasbentley

She laughed softly. "Your secret is safe with me." Lucy assured him. "Unless you want me to, of course." She joked and just smiled at Rohan. "You'll always be the fun uncle even if you don't come with gifts." She assured him again. "But they'll love it even more." She walked over to Gabby and scooped her up. "Uncle Rohan has a gift for you." @rohanxwalsh

Rohan smiled before looking at Ace was still close to Veronica. The detective was close as well but still giving her enough distance, he was ready to move in just in case she need an extra hand or person for support. Rohan was determined to get Veronica home safe and he was glad that he was able to do that. "Okay. right this way," he spoke voice soft as he started heading to the door. There was a moment of hesitation, a desire to reject any kind of help on principle. Some people were good at admitting they needed support and accepting said support. The younger Bentley was most decidedly not one of those people. Something deep inside, a constant refrain from the far reaches of her mind had always tried to tell the brunette that she deserved to suffer in some way for not being enough. And yet, there was something undeniable about this offer for help, or perhaps about the person offering it. In her drunken state Veronica didn't have the mental wherewithal to examine it any further at the moment. "I....okay. Yes." she murmured, making as much eye contact with Ace as she did Rohan when conceding.

Rohan smiled, if he was honest when people used his real name and when he had told them his real when he was no longer undercover sometimes felt weird. Saanvi might actually be the first and maybe the last person he would meet after his undercover life. "I tries myself to make it as believable as possible but now thinking about it, I don't look like a Mark?" he replied with a small chuckle.

"That's a possibility. There was someone also from Kismet that I crossed paths with and we did not realize that we went to the same elementary school and crossed paths when we were younger." @saanvixsurya

"Oh, Rohan," she echoed the name, letting it fall from her lips. It was unfamiliar but yet, she could see that it suited him. "That makes sense," she smiled at him. "I should have known it wasn't your real name." Though she were not familiar with all the ins and outs of being undercover. "Oh wow, what a small world." A small bout of laughter bubbled over her lips as she looked at him. "I bet we crossed paths when I was a kid and never even realized it." @rohanxwalsh

Rohan smiled, Rohan had been thinking about it. They needed both time to recharge and not talk about work and plus Rohan was following his therapist advice about cutting down on work and having more of a life. So he had a feeling that this would be good. "For sure. The downside of being in the same field and we both have a hard time disconnecting," he added. Rohan wondered if it was a family trait because his own parents were the same.

"Nothing really, working on house projects," he answered as he took a sip of his drink and let out a sigh. Enjoying the sun and the breeze, @josiahhuddington

"I love the sound of that." Josiah spoke, eyes focused on the other before he averted his attention to the water in front of them. It wasn't really that often that Josiah was able to get away from work, so when he could and when he tried, he tried really hard. "I don't get enough time away from work, so this is always welcome." he nodded. He loved a good reason to catch up with people, especially family. "I understand that." he nodded. Rohan had finished a long shift and he had texted Grayson to grab brunch at Driftwood Dinner. Rohan was excited to catch up with his cousin. It had been ages since he had really spoken and caught up with him. Well, Rohan had been so busy to catch up with people but he was finally making time for sure. He had ordered a cup of coffee while he waited for the other. The detective took a sip of his coffee and looked through his phone as he waited.

"I am sure and don't you try and read me okay Leo?" he replied raising a brow but his tone was more of playful and fun. He knew that Leo would understand sleepless nights and how hard it could be. Normally Rohan could handle them but lately not too much. At least sometimes he was able to take naps. "That's good. My hours are still all over the place, it works since I don't have anyone to come home too..." he shrugged his shoulders. @le0nxrd0perez

"You sure about that?" Leo asked his best friend, his eyes fixated upon him as he barely moved. He could understand sleepless nights, heck he had them plenty of times during his life. Moreso when they were both on the force, bit as time had worn on and he left that life behind him it was easier to sleep. However there were times where he did still have trouble, nightmares of the past haunting him. Nodding, "yeah and tell me about it. Mine is absolutely more mellow. I'll take it. Plus I like coming home to Nat at a reasonable hour." @rohanxwalsh

Rohan observed Veronica and he did not feel comfortable letting her go home alone especially with how drunk she was. He cared for her and he would never let his friends go home like this. So he paid for his drink and got up. His gaze did not leave hers. "It's late and I don't feel like letting you walk home alone," he spoke softly as Ace also got up and walked over to Veronica. "How about I drive you? My car is parked right in front." @veronica--bentley

Muttering curses under her breath, Veronica managed to steady herself in time to not fall straight onto the floor. She grabbed Rohan's arm momentarily to ensure there was no secondary stumble as she got fully right-side-up. He seemed concerned, but ultimately unfazed as certainly the brunette was far from the first drunken acquaintance he'd dealt with. Sighing to herself the younger Bentley slapped her credit card down on the bar. It was time to call it a night, getting blackout drunk was fun and necessary, but not at the expense of waking up bandaged and bruised. Or worse, to find a clip of oneself acting an idiot had gone viral online. "Ugh, why is every Uber so far away?" Veronica grumbled, returning her gaze to Rohan. "I might as well walk home at this rate."

Rohan smiled and nodded. Still with Luciana's permission to randomly stop by, he did not feel comfortable to do so at all. He would still reach out for sure first before he stops by. His mom and dad did raise him to be like that and plus also his career too might have influenced that behavior too. "Don't tell Owen I said I need a break from him, I don't want to get him jealous or maybe I do?" he joked with a playful smile on his face.

"I know but, I just could not help myself and plus I believe it's the job of the fun uncle to always come with gifts." @lucianasbentley

"Which you could always do, you know?" She would never mind if Rohan surprised them. It was always good seeing him or any of their friends. Luciana laughed and nodded. "I see. Well, the girls and I love to see you." She led them to the living room where Elena and Gabby were and turned around. "That's very sweet of you. You didn't have to do that." @rohanxwalsh

Rohan did not take off his eyes off her. In a way he could relate to her words for sure. Rohan himself was very complicated, too complicated to handle that's what he thought for sure. Humans were not simple and sometimes he wished that was the case. He could maybe sense and see hurt in her if he was reading correctly. That kind of hurt was not easy. The night he lost them he ended up in a bar and drank himself until his partner came and found him, took him home. "Sadly I think it's wired in all of us," he spoke as he got up and moved close just in case to catch her. "You Bentley sure know how to party for sure," he added. @veronica--bentley

Although everything in her wanted to rebel against his words, Rohan's warmth and gentleness made it impossible to. And she didn't want to repel those words because she thought he was wrong, but because the idea of him being right was too painful. It was far easier to see her fiance as a one-dimensional villain in the story than to have empathy. "Well. People need to stop that. Stop being too damn complicate." The brunette muttered. Sighing, the younger Bentley chugged the last of her drink and shifted slightly to flag down the bartender again. As she did so, Veronica lost her balance slightly and nearly toppled off the stool.

Rohan nodded, during his support group with past agents. He had heard stories of how hard it was for them to find themselves and sometimes forgetting who they really were. That was just one of the issues of their jobs and the other Hasad mentioned was connecting with people. "It can be easy for one to lose themselves," he spoke not sure if he ever lost himself.

Rohan smiled and chuckled softly, "I am in deed lucky I have people who care about me and I care about them," he added. "Sometimes I wonder am only doing fine because of this amazing guy here," he smiled as he looked over to Ace. Rohan knew that without Ace, he would not be able to get out of bed most times or even leave the house. @hasadxaslan

Hasad leaned back in his chair, one arm lazily resting on the armrest. "I'm sure that's hard when you spend that long pretending to be someone you're not." He knew that it was part of the man's former job, but it wasn't something Hasad thought he were remotely capable of. "Yeah, maybe," he chuckled with a nod of his head, "I could see that being the reason, but regardless," his shoulders lifted into a shrug, "it's important to have people that you care about and care about you back. I'm sure it's been a hard habit to break, but look at you, I think you're doing just fine." @rohanxwalsh

"You are correct and not wrong but, actually it's Rohan, Rohan Walsh," he replied with a smile on his face. Rohan was not on a mission anymore and he saw no need to use that alias anymore and he could really introduce himself to her. "Mark is an alias I was using for work when we met and also small world," he added. It was always a surprise for the male to meet people who grew up and came from Kismet. "My dad is a native and I spent many of my summers and most Holiday in Kismet." @saanvixsurya

As Mark looked at her, she continued to smile. "It is Mark, right?" Saanvi questioned, a bout of laughter passing over her lips. "I hope I didn't get that wrong." While she was more than capable of remembering all the bones in the body, identifying remains like it was a simple walk in the park but in that moment, she wondered if she might have got it wrong. "I'm actually from here," she told him, "I finally came back home." Saanvi admitted to the man she knew once upon a time. @rohanxwalsh

"I think we can both try to make more of an effort, spending time together and we should come up and have a rule that says that no talking about work when we are off the clock and hanging out," he chuckled with a smile. It reminded him of the same rules him and his buddies had after missions and when they just hang out and grab beers. They just talked about things not related to work and it was nice especially since Rohan tend to sometimes find it hard to get out of work mode. "That's good, since everything that went down and made me retire from the FBI I have not really been in the water again." he shrugged his shoulders. @josiahhuddington

"Me neither, man." Josiah shook his head, eyes focusing on the other. Family had always been important to Josiah, and even though he was a busy man with work these days, he always did his best to be there for anyone he could, family included. "I'm just glad we managed to do this today." he stated. "Let's hope that we can manage to make this a thing more often." he spoke, nodding. "I try to get as much time in the water as I can every summer, but, this is the first time this year. Forgot how good it felt, honestly." @rohanxwalsh

Rohan could never help it, he was good at listening to people, listening to their tone and body language. He hated seeing people upset especially people he cared about. Rohan was a protector, he always liked to protect people no matter if they were a stranger or not. Plus he always tried his best to make people feel better just by listening too. He listened. He was silent for a moment before speaking. "People are complicated honestly," he spoke softly. "Some people accept what they think what they deserve, if someone thinks they don't deserve that person who can make them happy then they pushed them away," he added his voice very warm, soft and understanding. @veronica--bentley

Rohan could fell like Veronica was maybe a bit down, reading and body language and hearing the slight slur of her words. The detective years of training and skills always active and never losing it. He took a seat next to her as Ace sat beside him. He smiled and ordered something to drink, just a light beer before giving Veronica his full attention. Rohan and Owen grow up together, they were best friends and childhood friends. Veronica and Rohan did not interact all that much since she was away at boarding school. "Yup. Moved in September of 2023," he answered with a smile as he watched her. Now he could really see that she had so much to drink. "It seems like you might be having an interesting night." @veronica--bentley

Rohan smiled as both him and Ace walked in. "Yup, I did not want to just randomly pop by and surprise you two," he replied back. That was not something Rohan did, he was excited and looking forward to spending time with the people cared about. "I mainly came to see you and the girls. Since I see Owen a lot and talk him too much. I think a break from him is needed," he joked and teased before chuckling softly.

Elena had heard the door before Luciana did and yelled to tell her that someone was there. She picked up Gabby and headed towards the door before opening it with a smile. “Rohan, hey. Come on in.” She said and moved out of the way to let the man in. “Owen said you were stopping by.” She hadn’t had a chance to check her phone yet as she was spending time with the girls, but she was happy to have the man over. “He had to go do something for work, but if you don’t mind hanging out with us girls, we’d be happy to have you.” @rohanxwalsh
