I am honestly deeply curious about people's preferences from this list. Mostly as I just made one of these and brought it to a potluck and it is gone. Leave your distaste for Midwest cuisine at the door please. Yes, all of it will fluff you up for winter, that's like 63% of the point.

#a week or so ago while i was bored at work i was letting an oc villain run off in my head #going on and on about how everything he did was justified actually #to get an idea of his motivations and stuff #and leonys -- leonys is always there. inarguably the Primary OC. the others can be shut away but leonys is always there --#so leonys gave me a sense of her kind of leaning in close and saying real quiet like #'if he doesnt shut up im going to shove a brick so far up his rear hell be using it for a tongue'#its a bit weird because hes a real person to her you know #he was spewing some vile stuff but i was unbothered because hes not real #it bothered her greatly #to be entirely fair he ought to have a brick shoved up his rear #he deserves it

(Full disclosure, I have not played the whole Hiddenhoard raid, just some of the boss fights.)

I'm kind of sorry the Hiddenhoard's only relevance to the game's story is as a location for the raid, because I feel like it has a lot of underused potential to be in conversation with themes from The Hobbit. Like, it's a massive hidden treasury, and the player goes there to confront a dragon who has stolen it, but the twist is that the treasure inside it was itself stolen, and the reason why it's still there is because there was no possible way for Durin to track down any of the proper owners and give it back, so he decided to hide it away rather than use it -- an understandable choice but fascinating in the context of the swords from Gondolin that Gandalf and Thorin take from the troll-hoard and then keep, not to mention Sting, contrasted with the expectation later in the story that Thorin ought to give the portions of the treasure that he can return back to the people who owned it before Smaug took it or their heirs.

I mean it's a Big and Difficult topic so I can see the devs maybe not really wanting to tackle it wholesale. At the very least I think it is an interesting angle on the topic.
