- TRASH BLESSINGS -
A series of pieces based off of common urban fauna with the aim of reminding people of traits in them we could all do well emulating sometimes, and celebrating the ability of nature to carve out a place in any environment.

Ok but like. What the fuck is there to do on the internet anymore?
Idk when I was younger, you could just go and go and find exciting new websites full of whatever cool things you wanted to explore. An overabundance of ways to occupy your time online.
Now, it's just... Social media. That's it. Social media and news sites. And I'm tired of social media and I'm tired of the news.
Am I just like completely inept at finding new things or has the internet just fallen apart that much with the problems of SEO and web 3.0 turning everything into a same-site prison?

No Dogs In Space is a really solid music history podcast that covers a lot of punk bands. Really good stuff if you wanna know more about the roots of the culture. Their series on the Dead Kennedys, The Damned, the Sex Pistols, and Joy Division are awesome.
Re: sleepover thingy
Can you recommend me any credible podcasts or YouTube documentaries to educate myself on punk culture? I know it’s a stretch to ask for European punk culture specifically but I’m a puppy punk(?) / punk seedling(?) and I know too little about the culture as a whole
Also, why, yes, I do like INK
Not really
Their early work was a little bit too "scene" for me
But when "The Silver Scream" came out
I think they really came into their own
Commercially and artistically
The whole album has a refined melodic sensibility
That really makes it a cut above the rest
@safety-pin-punk has a really good list of resources on things like that, Paul! *kills you* 🪓

Not gay as in "happy" but queer as in "fuck you, the people I love will eat well". Not gay as in "happy" but queer as in "so long as I can cook for others it'll all end up okay". But queer as in "are you hungry?". Queer as in "Did you eat today?". Queer as in "Here's one of my favorite recipes I've made", queer as in "I cook too big for just myself", queer as in "Come on upstairs with a bowl", queer as in "Are you allergic to anything?", queer as in "It's okay, it's gonna be okay, here, eat this chocolate", queer as in "I love you, I hope we both eat well", queer as in "I love you and therefore I must hate what wants you to starve", queer as in "the metronome of sharing orange slices", queer as in "take this, all of you, and eat of it", queer as in food and love and rage at everything and everyone which would see us miserable and unable to have enough to share with others. Not gay as in "happy", but queer as in "I can't let others go hungry".

love this love this love this, going on the menu once I can go on a booze shop

The Sinoe
A modified tiki Daphne, this was the first cocktail I properly designed. Daphne was a nymph turned to a laurel tree; Sinoe was the genius loci of the mountain peak Sinoe. It was her that nursed the infant god Pan, and so I found naming this drink after her fitting--like most tiki drinks, it's so fun and tasty that you'll sorta forget that it's purely alcohol. Drink responsibly as always.
The Sinoe combines pineapple vodka and coconut Malibu rum with a splash of blue curaçao and gin for color and flavor enhancing. While triple sec or other orangey liqueur would be subbable if you hate fun or the color blue, the gin splash is actually quite important, as confirmed by both myself and @tari-makes-drinks who has become a terrible influence upon me very rapidly.
Credit to him for thinking of determining the difference between a Sinoe with and without gin--we confirmed that its botanical strength when splashed in is able to act like salt does for caramel, allowing your tastebuds to properly appreciate the flavors without becoming overwhelmed by pure sweetness. I tested whether or not substituting a similar dry alcohol which wasn't botanical would make the drink better with a splash of Amaretto, and it totally changed the taste of the Sinoe. If you plan on subbing the gin, just be aware that it definitely will make it a different drink--which is okay and encouraged, because experimentation is how breakthroughs are made! So without further ado the recipe:
Ingredients
Equal parts pineapple vodka and coconut rum liqueur
Splash of blue curaçao for color
Splash of gin for taste
Method
In a martini glass over ice, pour equal parts pineapple vodka and Malibu or equivalent.
Add a splash of blue curaçao and a gin of choice.
Stir and serve. Garnish with whatever floats ya boat.
