Wanted plots based off of rom-coms:

10 things I hate about you: muse a, the badass, was paid to date muse b, the hard headed and scary one that doesn’t date, so that the person that hired them could take out their sibling. Lots of ups and downs with muse b trying to resist muse a’s attempts at charming them and then inevitably giving in. Could even mix in the part where muse b finds out the truth for some extra angst!!

The wedding date: muse a’s sibling is getting married and so muse a hires muse b, an escort, to accompany them home for the wedding. It’s the first time muse a has been home since their fiancé broke things off with them and muse a wants to put on a show that they’re okay and not still caught up on what happened. Muse b charms her and her family and they fall for each other, and her family opens up about certain family secrets that muse a didn’t know before. Cue the drama of muse a being upset that muse b found out before she did and let the angst unfold!!

Going the distance: muse a meets muse b while muse b is in town for a few months for an internship. They vow not to make it anything serious since muse b isn’t permanently there but when muse b’s internship is over, muse a confesses their feelings and the two agree to do long distance. Just give me the ups and downs of long distance!! One trying to find a job where the other is, the late night phone calls, the quick trips, and the universe working against them.

The proposal: muse a is on the verge of getting deported and muse b, her assistant, makes a deal with them to marry them in order for them to get their green card so that they can stay in the states. The downside? The two of them hate each other and muse a knows nothing about muse b. In an attempt to get to know them better, they go home with them over the weekend and in between the fighting with each other and the family, they fall for each other.

27 dresses: muse a is always the bridesmaid for all of her friends and muse b is the opposite. They hate weddings, despite being a writer for weddings due to their own fiancé cheating on them years before. Muse b is trying to find an out in their career so that they can take it in a different direction other than weddings and while trying to come up with a way to do so, muse a leaves their planner behind in a shared taxi/uber with muse b, in which muse b discovers how many times muse a has been in a wedding. So, muse b takes the story to their boss and is given this one chance to make a story better than the ones they write for weddings. Muse A’s sister is getting married and muse b uses that as an excuse to get closer to get their story and in the midst of it all, they fall for her. Before they can take back the story or tell muse a about it, it’s published and they’re completely embarrassed. Cue angst and feelings!!

since the summer i turned pretty came out, i’d love to have a plot based off of it! where muse a and muse b mom’s have been best friends since college. ever since muse a was born, they spent the summer at muse b’s home, which is right off the beach. muse a always looks forward to summer every year, getting to spend time with their brother and her mom’s best friends’ children. despite muse a being younger than the rest of the group, they always make the best memories and muse a even developed a crush on muse b. muse a was always seen as one of the boys, until one summer muse a blossomed and that same year muse b started becoming defiant and a rebel. now, mixed in with some sexual tension…

Plot: A mutant and an agent have an interesting first-meeting.

THE CHASE

Sarab tied her hair up as she arrived at the edge of town to practice her powers near an abanonded area. The place where she usually always went.

She promised her parents that she would only be taking a short stroll around the neighborhood. They thought that she just wanted to get out of the house, when in reality she wanted to practice using her mutant abilities in a place where they could not catch her doing so.

Her powers had surfaced when she was very young and she had been hiding them from her family for years. Only her best friend Kamala Khan, who was also a mutant, knew about them.

Kamala's powers were a recent development, and only furthered Sarab's fear of her powers being found out. She wanted to be able to protect her friends and family, and believed that practicing her powers was the best way to do so.

Of course, she always wore a mask while doing so. It was a rinky dink homemade mask that she wore just in case someone ever caught her using her powers and she needed to conceal her identity.

She looked around, paranoid of being caught, and then put on her mask. "Okay," she sighed. "Let's do this." She centered herself and closed her eyes. Illusions were what she really needed to focus on. They were the most powerful aspect of her abilities, but the one that she had the least control over. She found it difficult to control which illusions came up and how she manipulated them, partly because her mind wandered and she panicked easily. She also had the ability to control who saw her illusions, which was what she found difficult to navigate as well.

She started with something simple: a blanket of stars that only she could see. Closing her eyes, she stretched out her hand, took a deep breath, and pictured a set of twinkling stars. She felt a rush of warmth flow through her, as if she had been wrapped in a blanket, and smiled as she opened her eyes and found a blanket of stars in front of her.

She had made one mistake, however: the illusion was visible to anyone who was around her.

give me a 1x1 plot where both muses are the leading roles in an upcoming romance movie and they start to read a little bit too much into their onscreen chemistry. there’s red carpet events and nights with hotel rooms across from one another ( both wanting to go knock on the other’s door ) and award nominations and limousine rides. but there’s also lazy days of smoking joints together and going out for minigolf and sketchy clubs where the lights are too dim for the crowd to recognize them. maybe some sort of slow burn where both aren’t entirely sure where things are going but there’s feelings and who will act on them first?

our muses once had an intense romantic history that eventually came to an end because your muse wanted to settle down and get married, and my muse–did not. our muses went their separate ways and haven’t spoken in years. a mutual friend’s birthday party reunites the exs. my muse is still living the going-with-the-flow life while your muse lives a very structured life, great career, fancy house, sleek car, and an attractive date for the wedding. your muse thought they had everything they wanted to be happy, but all that changes after being around my muse again and remembering the strong connection/chemistry they shared..

muse a is serving some jail time for a petty crime they committed. muse b is one of the producers for a documentary crew that is making a movie about what life is like being locked up. muse a and muse b get to know each other through various interviews and find they actually have a lot in common. things turn flirtatious between the two and they start exchanging secret notes. the notes become more personal and meaningful, and it isn’t long before they develop genuine feelings for each other. with filming for the documentary soon coming to an end, and muse a still having to finish their time behind bars, muse a and muse b must decide if what they have is worth holding onto.

muse a is a known player. they don’t “do” relationships, the fallout of having parents that divorced when they were young and receiving some sketch love advice from their lifelong bachelor uncle as a child. however muse b was always someone different to them. their first kiss, their first love, someone they could never forget. when they ran into each other in the city in college, muse b was wary of muse a but decided to give them a chance ⏤ unfortunately, as was expected, muse a fucked up and left muse b without a word, breaking their heart. fast forward to now, muse a has returned to their small town at the same time as muse b for their best friends’ wedding. with both of them serving in the wedding party and their problems still left unsolved, muse a comes to realize they need to fight to get muse b back while muse b decides to leave muse a in the past once & for all. will they fix their issues or will the wedding be the end of them, forever?

ok but what about a m/f plot where he is the innocent and kind one who volunteers at the hospital and walks old ladies across the street, while she is the stereotypical delinquent who drinks and fights and goes through hearts faster than cigarettes. 

and everyone disapproves of them because he is a distraction and she is a terrible idea, but it’s all irrelevant in the end because she shows him the world, and he shows her the goodness within it.

hEy gimme a plot where there’s a single dad who lives alone with his kid in a cheap apartment and he’s reserved and keeps to himself and is pretty shy and there’s a girl who moves into the apartment across from his and they each have their windows open all the time and she just gets amused watching him interact with his kid and she’s so amazed by it and they communicate through their windows a lot, looking up every so often and waving or chuckling and making little faces at each other, but never actually talk until there’s a false fire alarm at three in the morning and they’re standing out in the cold and she offers his kid her jacket because they at the time thought there was a real fire and he was too worried about getting the two of them outside to think about jackets and it just kind of takes off from theRE !!

I’d love to do a cliché plot where muse A and muse B are both vacationing in Vegas and meet on a night out with their friends. They wake up the next day with wedding rings on their fingers and nothing to say to each other except “hey I think we made a big mistake???” but then one of them logs in to their social media and sees that photos from their trashy wedding have already been uploaded and their family has seen!!! So they decide to play along with the marriage thing for a few months to avoid embarrassing and disappointing their families any further. They can fall for each other in the end, become the best of friends, or even hate each other by the end. Bonus points if one of them was in a relationship when they got married…angst!!!

Trope of the day is... fake family. People in different age groups playing house. Maybe they are on the run from authorities. Maybe they just want a family ticket to the zoo. Maybe it's a long con.
