I CAN SHOW YOU THE BIGGEST THING IN THE COSMOS

It Is The Day (yes i have been watching DHMIS) so I made an OC :]

Heavily based off my own telescope (and the fleece blanket covering it), his name is Hubble Jr.! which is again the affectionate name of my telescope, but I like to say he took the name as he aspires to be like the Hubble Space Telescope!

He loves astronomy and seeing all the amazing deep sky objects there is to see, as well as making you realize how Earth is a speck of dust and a mere blip in cosmic time. He can go overboard with information and gives you a little too much to process.

He has three legs because of the tripod, can only turn his head up/down and left/right like an altazimuth mount, and uses his finderscope like an actual hand-held telescope to locate things in the sky (which is also based of Galileo's telescope!)

thought i'd write a tidbit about my spacecraft for pride month

although i do use human terms (because I humanize them), spacecraft use specifically only an alignment system.

my funny spacecraft guys are all genderless and use what's called the Galactian alignment system, which essentially uses the theme of space for naming alignments.

Space can be seen as genderless, but some aspects are personified with some gender connected to it; think of the Sun often being portrayed as masculine and the Moon being portrayed as feminine.

JUICE's alignment here is Eclipsian, which is both Solarian (masc) and Lunarian (fem) ! gentle giant cinnamon roll that likes wearing flowy dresses casually for comfort
