big post about my deltarune OC because i legally have to do whatever i want and i'm rotted in the brain about them

named tinker . tink for short . also answers to variants of their stage name "galaxian captain signal-surfer" . they/them . the RCA cable tail is actually a clothing item , their real tail looks much more like their antennas . further info and other images below the cut

TV world darkner based on signal hijacking . particularly on captain midnight and the southern tv 1977 incident . their role on set is something of a cartoonish villain , enacting staged "takeovers" of certain shows . will sometimes also just cause unscripted problems on purpose though . offstage they're actually quite sweet especially with nervous new hires , if a little eccentric

despite their appearance they're actually about 105 years old - they'll mention having "got (their) start on radio" . they've watched many a family move in and out of the dreemurr house . they remember having been something of a force for change in years past and they resent tenna a tad bit for how they feel he forces them to be little more than a stage attraction . they do still enjoy putting on the performances but they're not afraid to make his life as annoying as possible when he tries to get them to do or not do something they don't feel like . because what's he going to do , get rid of them ? they've been here like twice as long as he has :-P

the lightner they grew the strongest attachment to was a girl who lived in the house round about the 80s who was particularly fixated on technology and witnessed some sort of signal intrusion event live that fascinated her . they developed a strong aesthetic love for the new wave & neon fashions from the music video channel she used to watch . whether that was because they loved it or because she loved it is anyone's guess

one of their many looks from the 80s . they'd definitely still be dressing like that now if they hadn't been forced to "get with the times" by a certain pushy manager some time in the late 90s

other phases of theirs . went through a particularly raunchy slimebag period in the '70s before cleaning their act up (left) . their earliest look from back when they first started to pop up on radio back when "intrusions were just fellas tinkering with their gadgets" (right) . there were more of these and i have more to say but this post is already getting a little ridiculous . maybe later

ok i dunno if we're still doing character playlists in 2025 i was never really into that sort of thing on account of mostly listening to vaporwave sludge but in case anyone still is . if there's ramb ones i'm BEGGING whoever's making them to put birdhouse in your soul in there . i don't know enough him-coded songs to make one myself so i'm just going to have to throw this plea to the masses
