Help my family in Gaza

My name is Mohammed Saqer, and just a short time ago, my family and i were living a life full of hope and stability in Gaza. We had worked hard for everything we had - multiple homes, a farm, and several successful businesses. Life was good, and we were building a future for ourselves. My brother, 24, recently married, and we were both proud of the lives we had built. But all of that changed in a heartbeat when the war began on October 7th.

This is my brother, Motaz Saqr, who had to undergo surgery in his stomach due to the pollution we are exposed to daily.

This is my house, before and after, in newly married and this was the house we were supposed to live in but the war happend and it turned into rubble since the war.

Since that day, everything we knew has been taken away from us. We were forced to flee our homes, leaving behind everything we had worked for . We lost our homes, our farm, and our businesses. Now, my family and i are constantly on the move, trying to find safety and shelter wherever we can. The fear we live with every day is unimaginable. We move from one camp another, never knowing when or where the next attack might come. My brother's children cry every night, scared of the loud explosions that seem to be getting closer with each passing day.

This is my brother's daughter, this is the condition we are living in during the war.

Every day is a struggle just to survive. Food, water, and medicine are scarce, and we never know if the next meal will come My wife, my brother, his wife, and their children are doing everything we can to stay strong, but it's getting harder by the day. We've lost so much, but the hardest part is the constant fear for our lives

We've already witnessed too much destruction, and we know the situation could get even worse.

We started this GoFundMe because we need help. We need funds not only to survive but also to try and escape Gaza before it's too late. ‏There is currently a complete blackout of communications and internet in Gaza due to ongoing bombardment and damaged infrastructure, leading to the total isolation of the area from the outside world. Telecommunications and internet services have been severely affected due to power outages and airstrikes that have hit communication towers and networks.

‏Humanitarian organizations and journalists are facing extreme difficulty in communicating with residents, providing aid, or documenting events.

Hi everyone, this is my story in a few words!

Fortunately, I still remember my name: Rana. I can also remember that I’m a graduate of the Faculty of English-Frensh literature then I completed my master’s studies in education.

Being from northern Gaza means that I have lived through war, aggression, siege, massacre, pain, loss, torment, and also “death”, which life here forces you to look at with your own eyes.

As October approached, the catastrophic chapters of this story dramatically unfolded. It fills my heart with darkness every moment. I open my phone gallery and scrolling up to that promising life where I no longer belong.

Pursuing my Phd education abroad with a good scholarship was always my goal which I believed would be achieved but due to the complete destruction of the city and continuing displacment from place to another, I couldn’t register in any program and I lost the chance this year.

I was working and training in a company inside “Al Jammal tower”, which is one of the largest towers housing software and languages companies in Gaza, where we were mixing commitment and fun, dreaming of a better future. But once our company became a target and was completely destroyed, my business was shattered as well as my dreams, leaving me heartless and soulless.

We are not numbers. Remember, despite the difficulties I face in Gaza and the challenges I face with courage, I always realise that my story is a small part of the stories of 2.2 million people who face difficulties and struggle to survival in harsh conditions.

Hello everyone, I have another campaign I'd like to share.

Ahmed has helped support his family since his father passed away. He was working on a culinary diploma so he could open a restaurant to support his family, but he was never able to finish it due to the Israeli onslaught.

Ahmed's house was destroyed in the bombings, displacing him and his family. They were made to move from Khan Younis to Al-Mawasi and were barely able to bring any of their belongings with them.

All of his siblings have lost their places of work and the schools they study at. They no longer have a way to support themselves, and their psychological states are worsening. Ahmed's little sister Jody has especially been negatively effected by the horrors she's seen; she suffers trauma at only 9 years old.

In order to evacuate, this family needs to raise £20,000. As of now, they've only raised £5,339.
