𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: their apartment 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: axel , @losingdcgs !
it was no surprise their apartment was messy. with a mixture of their stuff around, and neither wanting to make the place entirely spotless, she was surprised they could walk through the living room at all. after exiting her bedroom, she groaned out of frustration. one thing that was troublesome for her was not being able to find what she needed. this time, she couldn't find a specific shirt. “axel !” she shouted, frantically searching through a pile of clothes. “have you seen a black tank top with a heart cutout on it ?”

whenever frankie was in the mood to step out of the comfort of her home, there were very few places she could be found. one of them being the mango bay art district, considering there weren't many art galleries elsewhere. wanting to see what was going on, she had a cup of coffee in one hand while wandering. she was enjoying most of her day, until someone interrupted her walk. the temptation to ignore and walk away stayed for a moment, but decided to give him the time of day. pausing her music, her eyebrows rose as she turned to him. it took her a second to realize what he was asking before giving a nonchalant glance. it didn't take long for her to come up with an answer. “it looks sad and empty,” she spoke honestly. “why do you ask ?”

he walks the streets of the mango bay art district frequently, as if trying to get a feel for the street he knew like the back of his hand. he likes scoping out the buildings, hoping to find one that's FOR SALE. he'd like to open his own studio sometime – he feels too bad for cluttering his house with all of his things. plus, it would be nice to create some type of work / life balance by separating the spaces. “excuse me,” he starts as he catches a glimpse of a kind-looking face. “what do you think of this space right here ?" he gestures towards the soon-to-be vacant business. “what vibes do you get from it ?”

𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: callisto's secondhand 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: anyone , @amadoures !
after going through racks of clothing, a sigh was let out as andy wasn't quite satisfied with any of the choices in front of her. maybe it was because she was used to being around luxury brand names and expensive price tags but nothing seemed thrilling. deciding to give up on searching, she turned to the other with a soft smile before asking, “did you find anything you liked ?”

"a staycation doesn't sound too bad," she agreed with a nod. as long as it was in a nice hotel with a lovely garden and/or museum, she'd find it enjoyable. frankie didn't mind trying new things but she preferred doing what she was already so used to. it was a comfort zone she didn't get out of often. "don't you think going to a local restaurant or a different theater can be done here though?" she inquired out of curiosity and to hear tabby's opinion, mostly. furrowing her eyebrows, a skeptical glance appeared. "i think i'll pass on pretending to be someone else, but i appreciate the suggestion."
It sounded boring to Tabby, but she tactfully didn't say that. "I mean, repetition can be nice sometimes, but not all the time. People, are animals. And like animals, they need enrichment. So I think you should go out and get out of town! You could make a day of it, like a staycation. Check out a local restaurant, or go see a movie in a different theater. Or go further and really rediscover yourself. Ooh, pretend you're someone else! You can pretend you're an anthropologist, studying a new culture and peoples just discovered. Or you're a jaded widow who isn't looking for love, and yet somehow it finds you. Or that you're a super cool James Bond spy!"

after agreeing to go out for once, and to karaoke no less, she should have expected something like this to happen. instead she thought things would be quiet on their end and would watch others perform. yet she found it quite entertaining to see him on stage, having the time of his life. laughing when he appeared in front of her, frankie shook her head before bringing her own beer to her lips, taking several sips. “i might have joined in on the booing as a joke at first but–i thought it was a good performance overall. do you actually come here often ?”

he stumbles back to the table, beer still in his hand like it’s glued there, buzzing with chaotic energy ( or maybe it’s just the alcohol. ) a man who just freestyled the entirety of total eclipse of the heart despite the lyrics being right in front of him. plops into the booth across from the other with a dramatic sigh, free hand rubbing over his face. “ okay, so they might’ve booed me, but i just think they don’t get it, you know ? maybe they’re just not big thinkers. personally, i think my version had way more depth than the original. ” he shrugs, polishes off the remaining liquid in his bottle before finally setting it down. “ bonnie tyler eat your heart out, am i right ? ”

after a roll of her eyes and a nudge with her elbow, ava decided there was no use in arguing, even just a little. "yeah, yeah. you can think whatever you want." there were several light tap to her chin, indicating her contemplation. it was a tough thing to think about. instead of taking forever and overthinking it more than she already was, she decided to say quickly, "i think majority would decide to go with having the public think they've been with bigfoot." a nod given as well, showing her confidence in her answer. upon mentioning other scenarios, she looked to margaret with curiosity. "oh yeah ? let's hear some of them then."
“ innocent thoughts , ” margaret repeats , incredulous , “ yeah , sure . well — what do you think the general consensus has been so far ? do you think people are wanting a weekend with bigfoot or to lose what little dignity they have socially ? ” because truth be told , margaret has asked anyone who would listen . no rhyme or reason for the question , beyond for her own personal entertainment . “ if you like the way i think , you should see what other ‘ would you rather ’ scenarios i have cooked up . ”

"how so ?" deciding to hop off the counter, she strolled toward him to reduce the space between them. "i know. i'd still want to attend yours," andy spoke genuinely, looking into his eyes. she may enjoy going out at night more than the average person but regardless, she'd want to support atlas. besides, as long as she was having a good time, it didn't matter what the time was. striding past him, her main destination was the fridge. "what's your job again ?" her eyes focused on any miscellaneous food they might have before closing it shut, not finding anything satisfying. "well, i think you're being doubtful. have you ever thrown one that wasn't for work ?" after contemplating for a moment, she continued on, "also–do you think we should order pizza ?"
“livening things up almost SOUNDS WORSE.” not a sentiment many would understand, but he wouldn't expect them to. “my own party ? you know i go to bed at, like, ten, right ? no one wants to attend a party in the day time.” at least, he assumes that much is true. not the type of party she's suggesting, anyway. “what makes you think i know how to throw a party anyway ?” it was most definitely the fact that his job title was EVENT PLANNER, but he chooses to ignore that fact for the sake of his boring man argument. “i'm sure the town absolutely does need one. i just don't think i'm the guy to do it.”

although she may have seemed fine, there was still a slight concern within andy. as concerned as she was though, there was a quick scrunch of her nose as she watched sienna wring out hair, deciding to instantly cross her arms after. "maybe putting ice wherever it hurts might help," she responded, attempting to give advice. "and i wouldn't say not to carry supplies, but maybe watch how much you're carrying. i think you just had a lot on your hands." her lips pursed and gave a shrug. "all of it, but it could be worse, right ?"
☆゚*·゚CHUCKLING SOFTLY, SIENNA shrugged, looking around at all of the art supplies that had taken refuge in the muddy puddles. she hoped that some of it could be salvaged but at this point, she wasn't really all that sure at all. "i think i'm okay? at least for now. i'll probably wake up with a gnarly bruise. maybe i should take this as a sign to not carry art supplies when it's muddy." sienna squeezed out her hair, now actually feeling a bit gross. "how much of it did you see?"

the more their conversation went on and on, the more surprised yet natural it seemed for tabby to think of such a way. although, it certainly made frankie curiouser about the project. such as, what did the item even look like, was it a bunch of sequins glued together, was it placed onto something for it to be held, etc. rather than inquiring more about it, she only gave a nod as a response. unfortunately, tabby was the only one filling what would be silence, but she didn't mind it. if she wanted to talk for hours, the young brunette would most likely stick around still. eyebrows furrowed before replying, "i wouldn't say i'm bored. things have just been the same. i check on work, i stay home and watch tv shows, then i go to sleep." scrunching her nose, she did contemplate for a few seconds on what would be EXCITING to her. “i guess going out of town for once might be nice.”
"Yes, it was! I was doing a report on if you could use highly reflective sequins to start a fire, like you would with a magnifying glass. I got a good grade which was nice, I would've thought setting my teacher's toupee on fire would be an automatic fail, but here we are." Tabby said. Then she gave Frankie a look of concern. She was so effortlessly cool and Tabby felt the slimy need to impress her. "I mean, I'm glad things aren't bad, but it sucks that you're bored. What would be exciting to you? Maybe we could throw a party? Or see if there's a community event?"

a quick shrug was given before deciding to move past his comment. she didn't want to bring the mood down by ranting about everything that went wrong. "if it's so boring, why don't you liven things up ? have you thought about maybe trying to host your own party ? or suggesting one ?" she rose an eyebrow toward him, before flashing an innocent smile. “the town probably–no, the town definitely needs one anyway.”
his eyes follow her as she jumps on top of the counter – something he's always found a bit impractical, but the last thing he needed was to be considered WARDEN in his own home. “you say that like it wasn't fine,” he notes, reaching for the hand towel hung on the oven door. “mine was just about as boring as they always are.” not that he completely hated that. he was a slow moving man. always had been. found it easier to wallow in his negative emotions that way. “posting up fliers, setting up tables… SUPER EXCITING STUFF.”

with a shake of her head, she gave a roll of her eyes after, yet continued to smile. "my mind is in the gutter ? i didn't think of anything except innocent thoughts. i'm just saying i'm not interested in touching feet." she gave a dramatic shiver before letting out a laugh. "okay, that's fair and i wish i thought of that."
“ right , sure . ” margaret shoots a sly wink ava's way , as if she's implied something beyond a foot massage . “ a foot massage would be the least of my problems at that point . get your mind out of the gutter ! & it would obviously be sick because i would get to share my research after spending a full day with a living legend . i could sell my findings for so much money . wouldn't you be curious about something like that ? ”

while listening, frankie nodded occasionally before eventually asking, "was it for a science project?" it was the only thing she could come up with. "glad you didn't get banned, i guess." bringing her cup of coffee to her lips, she took a few sips while thinking about her own answer. business has been fine on her end, she's been spending lots of time with her cat as usual, and she felt like nothing too exciting hasn't been going on in town. which isn't a bad thing to her. in the end, the woman gave a shrug before saying, "things have been okay. same old, same old, i guess. i feel like there's not much to say."
"Uh, the first one. I don't normall keep crickets around just in case. At least, not since 7th grade, and that was a mess. It was for a whole science thing, I won't get into it. I wasn't banned from the lab, which is the main takeaway." Tabby said, shaking her head. No reason to get into her weird youth. "Anyway, that was so rude of that cricket, you were just about to tell me how you are. I'm all ears!"

"i don't know! i'm just saying... who knows what bigfoot might want. maybe he'll want me to massage his feet the entire time and i'd rather not do that." even saying it gave her a slight shiver before laughing. now, there was confusion on her face after hearing margaret's response. "how exactly would that be sick?"
“ what do you mean , wouldn't do much ? ” brows furrow in confusion , “ what exactly are you thinking will happen between you and bigfoot ? ” margaret pauses , as if to consider her options . “ well i would pick the first , but if i had it my way — i would spend the day with bigfoot and have everyone know . i just think it's sick as fuck . ”

unfortunately, almost every shift left the woman exhausted, so one could usually find her relaxing for a while. a reason why she was lounging on the couch, scrolling through tiktok for entertainment. it was the moment she could hear the door opening that she causes her to perk up and head towards the kitchen, tossing her phone onto a cushion behind her. after hopping onto a counter to sit, andy lightly swung her feet while eyes glanced his way. "it was… fine. how was yours?"

he has a certain routine, when he comes home. place his keys on the key ring, slip his shoes off and place them on the rack, and go to the kitchen sink to wash his hands. he didn't consider himself home until the routine was complete. as he's washing his hands, he glances up and sees andy on the couch. “oh, hey,” he greets, lathering soap on his hands. “how was your day ?”

when wanting to meet and catch up, frankie didn't realize how long their conversation was going to end up and by the time she checked her watch, she already considered creating an excuse to get up and leave. mainly due to just wanting to be home and spend time with her cat. however, when she noticed the cricket jumping out, she flinched slightly while eyebrows raised out of being surprised. "does that usually happen because you have to feed animals? or is there a completely different reason?"
Location: Sunrise Cafe // @palmviewstarters
"Of course, it just ended up being a sprain, thank goodness, and we were able to send the little guy home that day. Busy days can be exciting, but sometimes I really appreciate the slower days filled with check ups and minor issues. Anyways, how are you? I feel like it's been ages since I've seen you and I know-" Tabby said, before a cricket jumped out from her blouse and onto the floor. It scurried away into the outdoors and she just stared after it for a moment. "Sorry, cricket in my bra. Weirdly, that's only the second time that's happened."
