We treat animals with a respect and care because a wise dog never forgets, and other domestic animals will always treat you with love. Dogs truly are man’s best friend. Their friendship will always be there even when you think you have lost everything, your dog will always be there by your side.

What does that teach us?

We need to remind ourselves that loyalty is essential to build a strong friendship. It is an important trait that needs to be developed, but also very important to look for when choosing a friend. You want to be able to have friends that you can trust and that can trust you on the long-term in return.

Lechon

Have you ever eat lechon? What comes in your mind when you see lechon? What is your favorite part of lechon?

What is lechon?

Lechon is literally roasted pig with a whole pig cooked on a large stick over a pit filled with charcoal.The pig is prepared in advance with seasoning placed inside the pig where the insides have been removed. Then the whole pig is cooked rotisserie style for 1.5 to 2 hours depending of the size of the pig. The best lechon is said to be made with young pigs, between two to six weeks old as they are less fatty.

In our research, Lechon is a traditional dish prepared for special events or fiestas such as holidays, parties and festivals.

Most of people say that their favorite part of lechon is: First, the skin was crispy and not fatty. Perfectly browned and each bite cracks in your mouth releasing a burst of flavors. The lechon itself was tasty and very tender cooked with a mix of garlic and leeks giving it the slightly tangy and delicious garlicky kick.

In our research, some people say that lechon is very delicious and some people are never tried to eat lechon.

What is sisig? Where sisig originated?

In our research, Sisig is a very popular dish in Philippines but not for dinner neither lunch, it’s a dish served when you’re enjoying an ice-cold beer after a long day’s work. It is a beer snack, most of the gatherings in Philippines that involves beer or any alcohol would definitely have this dish. To add to that it is also tiresome to make as you have to boil, broil, chop it into small pieces and fry the pig’s head or pork ear.

In our research its originated in Kapampangan dish (Pamapanga, province in Philippines) as “Sisig” means “to snack on something sour” but it usually refers to fruits like unripe mangoes dipped in salt or vinegar.
