CBR (Comic Book Reader)

CBR is the most popular file which we used to read the comic books using the CBR file with file extensions like*.cbr, *.cbz, *.cb7 etc.The CBR reader that I downloaded is named CDisplay Ex. It is the most popular comic book reader .It was easy to find as it is the most popular one on the internet. I first searched about installing the cbr file,i visited the website and i downloaded CDisplay Ex. it wasnt that difficult to install the file it hardly take few minutes to install.Understanding how the reader works is pretty simple actually because all the options and controls are straightforward. The reader has File, Read, Options, and Help in its menu bar at its left corner and in right corner it has the next page, previous page, skipping pages option along with the display options. There are also the options of opening multiple novels and reading them in an alternative manner.

You can open a comic by going to File->load file and then selecting the comic or you can go to the comic and double click it to open it in the reader. There is also the option of opening the previous file and resume reading it where you last left off. Navigation of the comic can be done by using the arrow keys. You can activate the thumbnails for the comics by going to Read->thumbnails or sliders by going to the Read option again. In the Options menu we have the various display options and also the zoom option. You can choose how much you want to zoom into the page. There are other options like automatic slideshow for hands-free reading of comic, auto colors for automatic coloring of images in the page. its actually easy to install...and good one .Now Im finding easy to read the novels in my pc

Selfieee!!!!

selfie is a "selfphotography" a photo taken by oneself.Now a days its seems like very common...each and every day we use to update our daily routine to friends or family through selfies.Selfie has become most popular in every occasions. Everyone goes crazy with selfie. We can see the happiness and fun behind it. I love to take group selfie other than taking single selfie's.When i get bored i used to click some selfies and post to my friends and families for fun.Now we can see everywhere selfie's.It has become a new trendy.Since every ones have android smartphones they keep on clicking pics and post in social networks. Its mainly for capturing the special occasions and events the fun etc adding memories into our life.we click pics mainly for adding memories into our life and sharing it to others. 

    we go crazy clicking pics. we can see many crazy selfie pics in social networks.Eventhough in marriage events,I recently attend one..i saw the newly married couples taking crazy selfies in their phone in front of the photographers this is totally crazy and it shows the value and importance of selfies in our life now.

The picture that i want to abolish....

The picture that i would like to abolish is my dancing picture which my brother clicked on my cousin brothers bachelor party...we all cousins were dancing like crazy...and the way we played and the way i laughed it looks weird ..when my brother showed that picture later i was like ehhhww...and the most embarrassing moment i felt when he showed this picture to my friends. And he actually blackmailed me with this picture. He was like he will upload  this picture in Fb...unfortunately i couldn't get a chance to destroy that picture yet...my brother still have that pic.

Magical Lights

This is the best colorful pic that I have ever seen. This is a real picture which my brother clicked from Dubai. when i saw this picture in his Facebook timeline i felt a vibrant and energetic kind of feeling. It was like "WOWWWW" The main highlight of this picture is the light settings and the way it is fixed in middle of the waterfall...at night we feel like its a rainbow . we can see a hot air balloon up the sky which is little attracted to this setup.This picture gives us a cheerful,pleasant ,energetic and colorful impression.The lights are actually amazing...As we all know Dubai is such a magical city...Its such a beautiful place. I really really love this picture the main thing which strikes me is the sequence of lights and the water fall...

Alternative media Vs Mainstream media

The Internet and social media have changed the way people and businesses communicate. This communication evolution has created additional media outlets in both alternative and mainstream media channels. Businesses must decide how to reach their target customers through various media channels; some target customers are reached easier through mainstream media outlets, while others tend to prefer alternative media.

                   Mainstream media outlets are found on television, radio, online and in newspapers and other publications. They include TV networks like ABC, CBS and NBC, as well as national news channels like CNN and Fox News. They also include websites like MSNBC and large newspapers like The New York Times and USA Today. Mainstream media sources are usually easy to find, and they reach large audiences.

                  Alternative media outlets tend to be smaller, and in many cases are polarized toward conservative and liberal perspectives. Like mainstream media, alternative or independent, media outlets are found online, on the radio, in newspapers or other publications and to a lesser extent, on television. "Democracy Now!" is an alternative news program broadcast online, on television and on the radio in some areas of the country. Many alternative media outlets have less funding and smaller budgets than mainstream media, so it is often easiest to find alternative media sources online, since creating a website is typically less expensive than operating a radio or television station.

Gaza-Israel conflict

The Gaza War started when Israel launched a large military campaign in the Gaza strip on 27 December 2008,with the name Cast Lead  in which this operation was stated for stopping Hamas rocket attacks on southern Israel and arms smuggling into Gaza. The conflict has also been called the Gaza massacre in the Arab world. The Gaza–Israel conflict is a part of the wider Israeli–Palestinian conflict. Palestinian militant actions in the Gaza Strip following the election to the government of the Islamic political party Hamas in 2005- 2006.Analysts point to the fact that Hamas has become increasingly isolated in Gaza after losing the support of its former staunch ally Syria and to a lesser extent Iran, and seeing the Egyptian authorities crack down on smuggling tunnels following the overthrow of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi. Attacking Israel, they say, may be a way for Hamas to try to boost its popularity and obtain concessions in any eventual long-term ceasefire.

Israel's main declared aim is to stop rocket fire from Gaza once and for all and restore quiet and safety for Israelis. Part of its Operation Protective Edge involved a ground operation to destroy Hamas tunnels, which have been used to launch attacks into Israel. Israel says it destroyed 32 but acknowledge some may have gone undetected.

Gaza is a small territory with a large population and Palestinian officials say many of the casualties were caused by air strikes in residential areas. President Mahmoud Abbas has accused Israel of committing "genocide" while human rights groups have warned Israel that air strikes in densely populated areas or direct attacks on civilian homes could violate international law. Israel has said the homes it has bombed belonged to senior militants and served as command centres where rocket attacks were co-ordinated.  It says militants deliberately fire rockets from civilian areas and store rockets in places like homes, school and hospitals - a charge Hamas denies.

Israel also points out that the hundreds of unguided rockets that have been fired at its territory directly threaten its civilians.Long-range rockets have been launched towards population centers such as Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, as well as further north. Human rights groups have said the firing of indiscriminate rockets endangers civilians and constitutes a war crime.

Anonymity The Mystery...

Anonymity is not something which was invented with the Internet. It has been used for many purposes..Anonymity is often used to protect the privacy of people.Even though anonymity is not something new with the Internet, the net has increased the ease for a person to distribute anonymous messages.The security for the anonymous user is not very high in this case. The IP number of the computer used is usually logged, often also the host name . Many people connect to the Internet using a temporary IP number assigned to them for a single session. But also such numbers are logged by the ISP  and it is possible to find out who used a certain IP number at a certain time, provided that the ISP assists in the identification. There are also other well-known methods for breaking anonymity.Anonymity may allow people to reveal personal history and feelings without fear of later embarrassment. Best example for anonymity is the tor(the onion router)The term onion routing refers to application layers of encryption nested like the layers of an onion used to anonymize communication. Tor encrypts the original data, including the destination IP address multiple times and sends it through a virtual circuit comprising successive, randomly selected Tor relays. Each relay decrypts a layer of encryption to reveal only the next relay in the circuit in order to pass the remaining encrypted data on to it. The final relay decrypts the innermost layer of encryption and sends the original data to its destination without revealing, or even knowing, the source IP address. Because the routing of the communication is partly concealed at every hop in the Tor circuit.                                                                                                           

                        Tor is free software and an open network that helps you defend against traffic analysis, a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security.Tor protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit, and it prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location.

TOP SECRET- WIKILEAKS

                         Wiki-leaks is something new for me. i haven't heard about it before. when i visit the home page of the wiki-leaks i didn't find any interesting like other online news websites. It was full of texts and headlines but there are relative links for each headlines and news. Its actually a good news website in which all the news are updated on time and this is only website in which the news are leaks and hence it has a relation with wiki-pedia, the name was given as wiki-leaks.Actually its an international online organisation in which publishes secret information's, news leaks and classified  media from the anonymous sources.It is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to publishing secret information, documents that were never released to the public and news leaks. Its main purpose is to bring the secret information to the light of the public.The reports that go to wiki-leaks is not just simple. First the Wiki-Leaks will ask the people who are giving the data to give every proof they have of the event. Then they ask the newspapers who are aiding Wiki Leaks like the Guardian and the “New York Times who are famous for its freedom to investigate on the matter. Wiki-Leaks is one of the few forms of media left that is not in the control of any institution or entity and is famous for its freedom. wiki-leaks is just a online website where the news are leaks and the news are up to date. we will get any news in the wiki-leaks in time there is no need of waiting for the new news.When you select a country, it opens up a page of links to different leaked information about that country. You can select any, and it’ll take you to a page that looks very much like Wikipedia’s pages, where it gives you a summary of what the story is and then allows you to download the proof. Its a different newspaper organisation compered to other websites. I liked the logo of the wiki-leaks and this is quiet different from the other news websites.

NEWSPAPER 3- DECCAN HERALD

 This week i selected "DECCAN HERALD" for my third newspaper week. Actually every newspaper has their own editing style and pattern. Its entirely different in the way of presentation ,editing ,pictures styles, advertisements etc. The number of news in DH is quiet less when compared to other newspapers and i found DH is a kind a simple newspaper with fewer pages and supplements, a lesser number of articles in one page, and easier language, I think it’s a simpler paper for simpler people.Its writing style gets straight to the point. It also has a more spaced-out layout with little variations in between its sections.

                   The DH newspaper has a simple, straightforward layout for its news on all its pages and sections. All the pages of the paper are divided into sections like Front Page news, State news, Economic news, Sports news, etc. Each section covers a page or two at most, and each page has multiple news reports and articles in sections.

             I discussed about the newspaper differences with my hostel mates. so i asked her to point out the differences and she was like the newspaper has their own style then editing is entirely different. Then she point about the categories of newspaper in which newspaper presents the way of presentation is entirely different. Then some of the newspaper points and highlights the most attractive news like politics sports movies film fields etc. Some newspaper highlights only the crimes suicides only negative news that is the main point differences. Then the way of attracting particular news is the images or the spot snaps, those photographs lead us to read the particular news and that is actually feel us interest to read the particular news. In some newspaper the incident or spot photographs will be less. Then the other difference is the advertisements in newspaper we can see more advertisements like automobiles, watches, flats ,companies , flat sale,discount etc. The other different is about the colored printed headlines in some other newspaper we can see only black and white printed editions. Then the common difference is like the language style which they used then the setting of news etc. These are the main differences that we discussed about the newspapers.

NEWSPAPER-2"THE TIMES OF INDIA"

I selected "THE TIMES OF INDIA" for my second newspaper assignment.I found many differences between the Hindu and the times of India. The first difference is in times of India there is many creative advertisements and more pictures of the particular incidences. The Times of India being one of the most famous newspapers also have a lot of interesting concepts this newspaper is preferred for most of the people in Bangalore. The two famous newspaper publishers are the Hindu and the times of India. Times of India newspaper sets the news in more different way than the Hindu. In Times of India I find more interesting crimes. The other interesting part of times of India is the creative advertisements. Then my favorite page in newspaper is the sports and the movie pages. The most hatred news is politics. Now a days everyone are so interested to read the FIFA news. People like us living in hostels and al are very anxious to know the score and the details about the FIFA world cup. So each and every morning we al waits for the  newspaper  guy. we used to read the sports page first then only comes to the front pages and reads al the attractive headlines. One day I found more interesting news in times of India is about the Transgender.

during the igniters class akkai mam shared al the problems what all the trans genders face and the saddest part is these people where rejected by the family and the societies and these kind of category people were admin anywhere just because of this, thus the number of suicide attempts in this category people increased. And this lady fight for their rights and now akkai achieved her goals. I feel proud for her. It was great achievement.

E-EDITION VS WEB-EDITION

There are many difference between printed newspaper and online news. Online newspaper can be updated immediately so they would have the newest information as opposed to print newspaper's which must first be written, then printed and then distributed.  Online newspapers can be interactive and include different thing's such as video's and audio whereas print newspaper's have to rely on just word and pictures. Print newspaper's would also most likely have less error's than online one's as usually they are more thoroughly edited. All types of newspaper's can lie but I think online newspaper would be more likely to be false as anyone can make one even if they no nothing about a particular subject. In newspaper the editor can express more about a particular incident more elaborately.

                                     Online news are more useful for watching the links and the videos based on the particular incident. The online news apps on phones make it even easy to access news anywhere anytime. And every time we go online we have something new to know about. Information spreads in no time on the internet. But Newspapers can provide information about the past only. To know about the present status of any issue we will have to wait for one whole day.Many news agencies have even developed mobile applications, such as New York Times and Times of India, which further simplifies the process of receiving online news without having to open a browser. Applications like Flipboard receive online news from multiple sources, and the articles are compiled and presented based on user preferences. In other words the newspaper has there own limits on printing the news.online news update each news on time. and nowadays some  prefers online news..rather than printed newspaper..then now the cost of the newspaper have increased whereas online news is free. The online news is more informative, attractive,advantageble, online news will be more graphical and more attractive..Newspapers are choosable for everyone...which publication  to read, how to read, when to read etc.... so i like web edition more than e-edition...

MY NEWS PAPER EXPERIENCE.....

When i was small my grandpa used to decide which newspaper to read and how to read....he used to make me sit on his lap and he reads all the news in the news paper and he comments on each news in a more humorous way i like the way he reads...he first read all the headlines and he read only the interesting part of it..then he goes to the social page and blame the people...then he reads the sports page he like sports and he used to watch cricket and football....we used to read "MALAYALA MANORAMA" till now my parents used to read the same paper...and when i was in high school i asked mom to change news paper to " THE HINDU" or some other English newspaper..she agrees and from 7th std -10th i used to read English paper and i spend at-least 10 minutes for that and sometimes i feel lazy to read so i wont read news paper daily..i actually don't have a habit of reading..

My newspaper reading style was..like first i read the front page all headlines then i go to the back side and i look for the sports news..then i go to the education page then my favorite page was movies page....i used to check the times of my favorite films... when i was small i love to read "magic pot" everyday..me and my sis used to fight for that ...it was really fun....then i used to read balarama which is published only for children...and at that time i was not interested in reading newspapers...when i was in high school i started reading newspaper regularly...then my dad used to watch news daily and he always scold me for that because sometimes i don't like to watch news...now i totally stopped reading nor watching news because, Im staying in hostel now..so sometimes i go online and read but not daily...now i think i have to read news daily that is actually good for our general  knowledge....

Finally when sir gave us the task,.the first day that is on june 6th friday from that day i started reading newspaper after a long break...i felt something great about that the highlight in  the news paper waas about the modisarkhar and politics etc..then the most interesting news was about the FIFA 2014.That was the main highlight in this month...as i go through the newspaper i find some interesting news. At times human race forget their good qualities because of money .At present the word “money” has become a key source for a person to live in because unusual incident has started occurring in our world. As I read I saw that the Pakistan prime minster has made a pleasant surprise by giving a “sari” for Modi”smom. This has made a link and love towards our country called India. After that I read about the weather scale where the state called Kerala has missed the date with monsoon because of which there is a vast variation in the production of crops in Kerala and the other states .Apart from the above issues there was pleasant news for the people that BMTC drive against ticketless travel in the city. Then the states MPs has made an effort to meet Modi on Cauvery water despite that has been for many years. Since June 5th was world environment day, a girl hugs a tree as she takes part in an attempt to break the gunnies world record for the most number around 2001 people hugging trees for two minutes This event took place to spread the message of saving the environment .Apart from this the “Milky way in the universe have 100m life supporting planets” which was an astonishing news. Apart from our country news we have our old person named “Chester Nez” the last of Navajo “code talkies” who dies because of kidney failure. As we go on to the sports news, we have the FIFA football world cup that’s coming up and all the players are being pressurized as well as fully dependent on their skills.

The people were very excited about the FIFA and already the banners and posters can be seen on the walls...Then the football lovers are anxiously waiting for dat great day 12th june. and the FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 is from 12th june-13 july. Full month full on entertainment...that all i find interest in day one.

The second day... As usual i read the news paper i felt interest in the sports page so i didnt read the newspaper fully i jus read about the FIFA and about the teams players etc.The rest of the page was about the politics im not that much interested in politics...so i didnt feel like reading that then one thing i felt interesting was about the metro page about the bollywood and hollywood actors and actresss interview page and then the up coming movies.

Third day...though it was sunday and i felt lazy to read newspaper..but i jus went through the sports  and the main page there were only politics news and then about the season people of different countries  are waiting for rainy season and they finding difficult to live and finding uncomfortable with the hot wheather....

Fourth day...i cudn't read the newspaper today because i was busy with my hostel friends and was doing something special for my hostel sisters... but the next day i ask my hostel friend about yesterdays new..and she was like as usual politic issues, accidents,FIFA, then the business matters etc

Fifth day...i first checked the sensex of dollars and euro..because my sister asked me to check about it dats why i checked dat first and as usual i checkd sports news.. that FIFA is coming closer a diver wearing a South Korean football supporter uniform kicks a ball in an aquarium of sardius in seoul on Monday .Time to flaunt national colors as world cup fever spreads. This shows how people are curious to watch the match after four years.

Sixthday.....It’s all about FIFA right from the main page to the supplements.I feel excited while reading...Celebrations, players, stadiums, matches, positions and all the information you can get. The first page mainly concentrated on Messi and Neymar the legend and the upcoming legend.I was only reading the news regarding FIFA and didn’t bother reading anything else but then managed to read the other news but FIFA was quite inetresting part and also read the supplement where someone who is never expected in this genre was found it was Modi.

After reading newspapers for one week for the first time in my life, made me realize that knowing whats happening around us is just good for us to get informations about different details like politics sports world bussiness currency etc...i felt great while reading the newspaper its actually good to make it has a habit...there are many benefits in reading newspaper.....

WHY MCT IS MCT????

The sequence in this phrase is based on their priorities. Media, Culture & Technology they plays major role in our day today life..here media is having higher priority because media interconnects each and everyone in one form to another. Media and Technology has their own priorities based on communication. Technology plays very important role in our life. Media keeps updates the information's to the world. so it has major priority. Hence  MCT make sense...and MCT sounds better than TMC, MTC.

Bangalore Film Festival

According to the Hindu, People enjoyed the Film fetsival so much that there had been instances where fights have been broken out to enter the film festival. Though, they did not mention the age group or whta kind of people were present, it sounded like as if every type of people were present. Based on an average of 4000 people saw two to three movies a day. There has been a total of 161 movies representing 52 countries of screening. The Hindu pionted ot that there were no kannada films from the famous directors.

I happened to interview Nithin.S.Pai of Ist year BVC, He saw two films, "Giraffelda" and "Strangers in the house". Giraffelds is the story of how a circus owner brings a male giraffe for his female giraffe to nurse her back to health. The Strangers in the house is a family melodrama. Nithin liked the "Giraffelda" the best from the two.

He mentioned that that people who came for the film fetsival were old people. There wer only few young people who came to see the films. Mostly, they are all directors and film critics. Even the distribution of pamphlets were done as a herculean task as there were little confusion in the coordination.

In the end, what I found out was that the Hindu did not report about the lack of interest for world ciinemas for young people. They did not even mention the chaos that ensued because there were a little confusion in them

has an actor ever mattered to you or somebody you know?

Movies are something which can drive anyone mad  about them. after being bought up in a very artistic family its obvious that i'll have some artistic craze. movies with some good theme is obvious masterpiece. Some people do go crazy about them but the thing which can matter is their own individuality. i'v seen people doing tattoos and hairstyles and all to support a particular personality.according to me to show love and concern we can also go and watch his or her movies and appreciate.

                                         Actors play a vital role in portraying a meaning though their role. but in  a country like India actors are not just a person of movie but next to god.One of the best example is Rajinikant. He is someone who doesn'nt require an introduction.A person of super natural powers in Tamil industry. he's someone is not just loved but also worshiped. Just a mare illness of him can create ruckus in Tamil Nadu. That is his craze.

                      Same comes when we talk about Mohanlal in Kerala. He has tremendous fan following . He is 60 but whenever his movie is in theater it goes  a house full. Hundreds of fan club association show how crazy is people about him.

                                                  Actors do have a negative effect also that is young generation start following them blindly. As a result we can read big headlines in the front page of newspapers about the accident cases on highways. taking drugs and alcohol as shown in movie.they often do forget that its just a role which they are doing. taking them seriously is just utter stupidity according to me. they are jus a image to portray an image in front of us. they are just a way of expression. so go to theaters and get entertained.

                                           But movies are really important as they gives us a source of entertainment. Some movies do mind blowing work. Movies can bring social issues up. It can also act as a real source of publicity, where people can give away any message regarding anything.

Hidden Fortress

The Hidden Fortress is a movie directed by Akira Kurosawa. The main characters in the movie are the General, Princess Yuki and the two greedy men. The story goes like this. The two greedy men came with tattered clothes scolding each other because they both were stupid enough to think that they could earn a fortune from the war. 

On the way they see a man getting killed by the Yamana soldiers. In the middle they get separated and they both end up getting caught by different parties and then joined together after some time. They meet on their way, a general who is trying to protect a woman who was mute. Even though they reveal that the girl was the Princess of the defeated Akizuki clan. The two men unknowingly helps the the princess and rescues her.

Watching the movie without subtitles is like watching a movie forcefully. You cannot understand what is going on there and what is shown in the screen. Once you see the version with the subtitles on, you feel relieved because, you know what is happening here. It could be because the culture is very different from the the culture we are very used to. In the end, it is very difficult to undertand what is going on
