Cozy Aquarium Residents and Theme - May 2025

Not only am I a crafter/gatherer main, but I adore Endwalker, and I've been an outer space nut my entire life. After Cosmic Exploration came out, I knew I had to update the aquarium in tribute.

Here's my take on the bridge of an Eorzean spacecraft, where magic and science come together—or are perhaps indistinguishable from each other.

Me in the captain's chair. My glam is the Star Crew Jacket in Metallic Pink and Pearl White, False Nails, the Craftsman's Leather Trousers in Pearl White, Frontier Pumps in Metallic Pink, the White Paperflower Earring, and the Eternity Ring.

Glamour Plate 5: Town Casual

I'm not sure when I actually made this plate. The screenshot of the Plate Selector and the full body view from the Aetheryte Chamber at the bottom of this post are from September 27, 2023, and the other screenshots are from one of the Hildebrand storylines I did with Arel on September 29. However, I think I made plate 5 around the same time as the original plates 2, 3, and 4, which would have been more like early September.

In any case, I have fallen in love with that Red Dahlia Corsage. It's still on this plate, and I've used it elsewhere as well.

And I just generally like this plate. It feels very versatile. I can wear it for lots of different occasions.

New Glamour Plate 3: Warrior Princess

On September 30, 2023, I wiped out Hideous and made a new plate 3. Arel had been giving me gear and accessories, and I had also been shopping, won some things on missions, and traded for things at the Gold Saucer, so I had plenty more stuff to work with.

I was and am pretty pleased with this one. It just looks cool.

The image at the top of the post as well as the following ones are /gpose pics from October 7. The top one is from a little trip I took to get the Black Summer top and bottom. This pretty pool is Apkallu Falls in Old Gridania. The others I just took in Ul'dah.

I wasn't bothering to change my facial expressions or poses yet, but these are still pretty decent. The only thing I've done to them outside the game is crop two of the Ul'dah ones.

Glamour Plate 3: Hideous

I mean, I guess it's not that bad, but after creating it on September 13, 2023, I never wore it anywhere except for this /gpose picture on September 27, when I was documenting all the plates I'd made to date.

I didn't have the Rainbow Cosmos Corsage when I originally made this. At some point between those two dates, I bought a bunch of corsages and went back and added them to all my plates. (I got hats and other options later.)

FC Group Shot (Not a Glamour Plate)

On September 17, 2023 our Free Company did a themed group shot wearing varsity jackets. I just put it on top of what was then plate 4. This was the day I learned about /gpose, but not until after the shoot. For the above picture, I cropped an in-game screenshot and blurred out everything that wasn't Arel and me.

I tried /gpose out a little at the FC's house afterwards:

I didn't do anything to this screenshot except crop it. Looks like /gpose's depth of field option was having trouble with my hair 😅

As you can see, I was still stuck in the hip-thrusting pose. Far better /gpose sessions are coming, don't worry!

Glamour Plate 2 Revision 2

I really like this plate; see the previous posts about it here and here, or check out the plate 2 tag.

On September 30, 2023 I changed out the head and feet on the plate, resulting in the following:

All the jewelry slots were empty, as I still didn't know about the "Emperor's New..." items that hide your regular gear and I also didn't have any jewelry, so the Augmented Cryptlurker's Choker of Fencing that is part of my standard gear set was still showing in-game. This is visible in the /gpose screenshots, which were taken in Ul'dah and then cropped. (Also, I had learned about /cpose!)

At this point, my feelings about the plate were 1) I loved how the headdress looked, but I wished it was silver instead of gold, because nothing else is gold in the outfit; and 2) I was much happier with the new boots than I had been with the Woolen Dress Shoes.

Glamour Plate 2 Revision 1

I've posted about plate 2 already, but as it's one of my favorites, it's been tweaked some since it was first created.

Here's the first tweak, from September 27, 2023. (Literally all that changed was I added a hat.)

My Retainers

Meet Marilee and Che'ri, my harem retainers! These two lovely ladies help me by storing extra items and selling things in the marketplace for me. They also wear sexy outfits, because of course they do. (I'm not really complaining here.)

I first employed these retainers on September 17, 2023.

Marilee

Marilee is serious and matter-of-fact. She gets it done with no fuss. She also calls me "love".

Che'ri

Che'ri is exceptionally needy. She whines whenever I send her away.

Both of them are perfect.

If only I could /gpose with them...
