Did you know?!, There's a secret chain of command to most families. You know the one where your grandparents thought your mother needed a punching bag so they got her a brother. Based off this non documented chain of command that secretly gives him the right to call me a visibly African American WOMAN a GIRL. This COC, gave silent undocumented rights to proclaim me ignorant for referring to heirlooms as STUFF. I was driving and texting but that wasn't an issue. Finally, it gives you said authority based off birth order to tell someone they're uneducated for asking other members of my family if they had family plots while not trying to focus on my grandfathers body being lowered centimeter by centimeter. Just some examples of this years struggles.

Interracial Struggles

I have found myself at 28, realizing just how under educated my own family is when it comes to interracial daily struggles. I say daily because I have yet in my adult life, not a single solitary time, been able to leave my home without someone somewhere finding a reason to speak on my life. I need an outlet. A place where I speak the unspeakable pains I endure silently. Here I am. Here I go.
