Twisted Wonderland event pitch: Yuu and all the people who work way too much for their age hijack one of Crowley's vacations and have a nice, relaxing trip. The only conflicts are that none of them know how to relax and they're all terrified that their dorms will be destroyed by the time they get back.

Trey, Ruggie, and Jamil are definitely going to be featured characters. I think an argument can also be made for Riddle and possibly Vil (idk him too well but he seems like he could use a break). Grim will not be coming with Yuu because the whole point is that you're supposed to be getting away from all the people who stress you out.

Crewel advocates for you. Crowley can go cry in a corner.

I don't normally do Just Characters Swearing, but. ...this kind of wrote itself and then wouldn't leave my head. it comes from both a piece of character-writing advice that has always stuck with me, and also my conviction that Leona is 1000% funnier as a character if his dialogue has to stay G-rated. let Kalim say fuck, but don't let Leona say bastard.

the concept of lilia having ptsd nightmares and silver dream-walking into them has gripped me viciously ok you guys don't understand

all i can think about is silver stumbling into this blood-stained and gruesome scene from lilia's war days, and shocked that his laughing, loving father's mind can torment him so brutally like this. he pleads with lilia to escape and travel back to his own dream (can't he see the lovely pastel clouds just above the carnage? the birds singing softly, the sweet spring air?), he can't stand to watch his father be subjected to this over and over again!

lilia laughing kindly at him instead and gently pushing silver back towards the edge of his dream, his innocent son should not have to bear witness to this madness, there is no need for silver's mind to be plagued by such troubles— no, lilia will stay here, this is where he belongs, dear child, in the filth and the muck and the darkness, so that he can raise silver up towards the light.

his laughter stops short however when instead of following his beloved father's commands, silver takes one last look at those plush, cotton candy clouds and turns his back on them, taking lilia's hand and strolling alongside him through a path of stomped flowers and broken branches.

what's the use of a good dream if there's no one to share it with? perhaps, if he stays, they can find something beautiful to savor in lilia's nightmares instead.

neither one of them remember it when they wake, but lilia's hand feels oddly empty when he stares at it in the dawn light, and silver breathes out tiredly against his pillow, tasting the heady scent of iron and jasmine.
