Even now I can’t grasp “nothing” or “never.” They’re unholdable, unglobable, no map to nothing. Never? Never ever again to see you? An error, I aver. You’re never nothing, because nothing’s not a thing. I know death is absolute, forever, the guillotine — gutting — never to which we never say goodbye. But even as I think “forever” it goes “ever” and “ever” and “ever.” Ever after. I’m a thing that keeps on thinking. So I never see you is not a thing or think my mouth can ever. Aver: You’re not “nothing.” But neither are you something. Will I ever really get never? You’re gone. Nothing, never — ever.

i think it would be so silly goofy babygirl if the self-sacrificing hero tries to go out in a blaze of glory but it doesn't work and he has to live with himself and everything he's done <3

you could not pay me to return to my childhood. or my teens. or my 20s. i'm all about the now. the now is great. the now has a long list of things that would have been beyond my ken when i was younger. nostalgia doesn't have a grip on me. i learn and grow every day. why would i want to return to ungrowth. a tree doesn't reminisce about being a seed~

maybe things were "simpler" when you were younger, or maybe things were just beyond your understanding. personally, i was aware that there was a lot i didn't know and couldn't do when i was younger, and it was just... frustrating. i look at childhood photos and i can see it in my eyes. "let's fast forward through the next 30 years. i'm over it."

and now i'm here. i look in the mirror and i see my younger self looking back at me, and she smiles, satisfied at last.

it's so fucking frustrating to be in college and know everyone uses chatgpt and to be tempted by it constantly while also knowing intellectually that it doesn't work and it's a bad idea. like, i hang out in the library a lot, and i see people using chatgpt on assignments almost every day. and i know it isn't a good way to learn, because it's not really "artificial intelligence" so much as it is an auto text generator. and it gives you wrong information or badly worded sentences all the time. but every week i stare down assignments i don't want to do and i think man. if only i could type this prompt into a text generator and have it done in 10 minutes flat. and i know it wouldn't work. it wouldn't synthesize information from the text the way professors want, it wouldn't know how to answer questions, it just spits out vaguely related words for a couple paragraphs. but knowing my classmates get their work done in 10 minutes flat with it while i fight every ounce of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in my body is infuriating.

I forgot that writing is very fun and that you're playing pretend. like all this shit and pressure about craftsmanship and art! NO!!!! you are a grown up playing with dolls! it is silly and you should have sooooo much fun pushing their heads together to make them smooch!!! or torturing them, which is what I did to my toys as a child, to the point where my mom thought I was going to grow up evil
