Why the surprise, then, hm? Right, yeah, how could I forget?
'Course not, Roo. Who was the one who showed you this place?

Oh, really? Were you ever gonna tell me about what's making your life so far from normal, or was I just gonna have to figure it out on my own? Maybe dinner and a movie marathon so you can tell me all about it.
I guess never… or maybe I’m just starting now seeing as my entire life at the moment is so far from normal it somewhat terrifies me. Yes, please, sir Roo. A movie marathon would be nice.

Since when do you care about normal? Would you be up for a movie marathon some time soon, would that help?
I guess today is just one of those days where I feel irrationally sad and need to eat my weight in carbs. Sometimes after I have a dance performance I feel so empty and emotional, there are times that I cry for no reason. Is that normal?

That's a good plan. The entire lower half of the country is like an oven during summer. We should find a way to air condition the whole town. Maybe build a dome or something.
If there’s one thing I know I’ll be doing over the summer, it’s keeping the air conditioner at as low as it can go.
My house is like an oven during the summer. That is, if the air conditioner is off.

I agree. I think it's better to just take it day by day, do what I feel like doing when I feel like doing it. Makes more sense to me that way.
Same here. I never particularly liked planning my summer out, especially when I was younger.
It just took the fun out of it, you know?

Oh, really? That sounds awesome. What were the traditions like?
It's more of a mental list, really. There's just a lotta stuff I want to get done in my lifetime.
Wouldn’t it just? When I was younger I had a friend who would spend every second Christmas in Australia with her fathers family and it just sounded so odd and magical. The traditions were quite varied.
You keep a bucket list? I don’t think I’ve met anyone as young as yourself who has one - or who has outwardly expressed having one, really.

Exactly like the instrument.
Nothing in particular. This and that. I'm just gonna go wherever the wind takes me, that's how I like it.
Viola? Like the instrument? [She smiles.] Nice to meet you as well.

So, Andrew, since summer is your favorite time of the year, what do you plan to do with your summer?

Poor guy. But maybe marriage isn't his thing, who knows? I have no idea how anyone could make that work, it all sounds pretty complicated. If they ate it, they'd be losing their love, but if they let it sit, it would rot, so I have no idea. Or maybe they don't mind the rotting, like in the episode of Spongebob where he falls in love with a Krabby Patty. Yeah, that sounds about right.
It’s not, sadly. Poor guy can’t marry the love of his life. I need to ask one of these people. It’s got to be tough to love and lose so many people, even if we’re all capable of so much love. Wait, so they’d let their lunch just….sit there? Do they eat only breakfast and dinner? I want a quiet life, simple and safe and happy.

There were watching eyes all around them, following the two as they trudged on from the center of the street and onto the sidewalk. Naturally, they were curious and concerned-- it wasn't every day that you saw an event such as this. Roo didn't blame them, but gave a scowl anyway. Wasn't it clear that neither of them, Raven especially and most obviously, had no desire to be stared at? Did they really think just watching was going to help? He continued walking, his shoulder stuck in the same position to keep her steady, until they were finally out of sight in a back street just off of the one they had come from. It was only then that he stopped walking, to ask where she wanted to go, how she wanted to proceed. He was determined to help her, not to leave until she was at least a little patched up.
Why Did the Raven Cross the Road? // Raven & Andrew
Raven nodded weakly and took a moment to try and brace herself against him, trying not to lean too heavily and give away how much pain she was really in. Her breath came shallow and stuttering as he helped maneuver her out of the street, her slight frame trembling with shock and the effort of movement, but she was clearly in a hurry to get away from the onlookers as quickly as possible. “I think so…” Raven replied, not quite able to conceal the fear that lingered in her clear, bright eyes. “I should be okay, but I will know more when I am able to examine the injury…”
And it was obvious that Raven had no intention of stopping to look until all those other people looking were gone.

It's kinda contradictory, I think.
I'm Andrew. Andrew Viola, if we're going with full names. Nice to meet you, Sienna.
You’re right about that.
Uh, what’s your name? I’m Sienna. Sienna Aldrich.

Exactly! I don't think that's actually legal. Shit, I don't know, I don't make the rules. You'd have to find one of 'em to find out, I guess. They probably wouldn't end up eating it. That'd be like a weird form of cannibalism, right? Yeah, I guess so. I've never really understood it. You're welcome.
There’s that one guy who wants to marry his car! …Like, one lunch or all of their lunches? Do they fall in love with every lunch they have, and then cry when they finish eating it? People …they do weird things for fame. It’s sad, that they’re exploited. Why, thank you.

No, I get it. There's more free time in the summer, I think. It feels like there's more time to fill.
I’m not sure … it’s just that, during the summer, I always end up bored and unable to do anything.
…I’m probably not phrasing it that well.

Like their car, for example. I guess you're right, there's gotta be someone somewhere who's in love with their lunch. Yeah, I guess so. I don't know why you'd want to be on that show, really. Most people on that show are just made fun of, anyway. Your optimism is admirable.
That show has taught me that somewhere in the world, someone is addicted and or in love with something really strange. There is someone out there who is in love with burritos. And um…you know, as long as it’s healthy, it’s okay. I think they submit themselves so that they’ll become famous. I am positive.
